[OOC: Please, only one mission per Chosen so that others have a chance to take part as well! There is only one Dark Field Eliminator, and the groups will receive it. Do not break it. This will act as a mingle log. The missions are simple, so this is really an opportunity for you to log out CR if you'd like it. There really is no sign up for these. We just request that you do not go over the max number of participants, but you can certainly have under the number if everyone is alright with that. Remember, some of these will be taking place during the weather event, so if there's a day you want your character to be in the city for and it's a far away area, plan accordingly! Enjoy!]

[but that's a story for another day. He did prepare for this, and once night falls, he's going to pass out cloaks for everyone to wrap themselves in.
When they advance, Optimus takes the lead, with Monodramon perched on his shoulder. Once they arrive, they find a variety of Digimon, all Virus types including SangLoupmon, Devidramon, and Boogeymon milling about as if in a zombie-like state]
... Their numbers seem disorganized. There is likely no group intelligence at work here. Either a distraction or a direct assault punching through their numbers seems like-
Enough talk! Death or glory! BURST SHADOW WING!
[the look of anger and irritation on Optimus's face as Monodramon sent a vacuum blade hurtling towards a nearby SangLoupmon, and thus drawing its attention, was only there briefly... but it was livid]

[Though she can tell there's a story Optimus isn't sharing. She might have to ask him about that later. In the mean time, she wastes time observing her team mates and hanging around with her partner.
When nightfall hit, she's very happy for the cloak Optimus had to offer. Why are human's so easily cold!? The stupid apes had fur at one point, you'd think they'd be better at handling this.]
I'd recommend a distraction...
[Before she could suggest anything else and ask Rin how she was with sneaking around, that Monodramon was already off. As interesting as it was to see the look on the Prime's face, Blackarachnia was less than thrilled.]
...Never mind. Think you can keep them busy while one of us get closer to use that thing?

Not that she would have to worry long for that as her temper flares briefly at Monodramon. It would have been much easier to sneak through, but directly assaulting them would work just as well. She just wish it was on her terms instead of the whim of someone else's partner. ]
We have no choice other than to do that. [ She corrects her. ] They already know we're here.

Uh oh...
[the digimon let out a roar, before charging at them. Optimus wasted no time in drawing something from his cloak... a pair of tonfa which he held much like the blades he had in his original form.]
One of you take the nullifer and run towards the field... we'll cover you!
[and Optimus charged into the oncoming group without any hesitation. Monodramon stood there, looking bewildered, before letting out a curse and moving to follow his partner]

I guess night is as good as any to see how my partner is in a fight.
[She smirks slightly and glances towards the other girl. ]
So, who wants to take it. You or me? I'm good with either choice.

[ Besides she had a more selfish reason for wanting to go. Having yet to have the chance to be up close and personal with one, it was an experience she's only heard about through the network and Rin's a girl who has to live the experience. ]
You don't mind babysitting, do you?
[ Even if she's joking, Lunamon doesn't falter any at her Chosen's words as she bounds into action herself. ]

That said, the Prime is doing admirably, and by the time Monodramon catches up to him, he's successfully knocked two Sangloupmon aside. The dragon just... gapes a little, before steeling his own gaze]
This is it... you're not... you're not a coward, Monodramon!
[he dashes forward, and swings his drillbit-like claws at a Devidramon just as Optimus goes in for another swing at a different opponent... and in this moment of synchronicity, there's a flaring of light, and a moment later, the small dragon is now an adult-sized, fur covered one.
Without even realizing it, the newly evolved DORUgamon rakes his claws across the Devidramon's two sets of eyes, causing the Dark Dragon to cry out in pain.
But not even that is enough to keep the horde's focus on Optimus and his partner, because two Boogeymon are flying at Blackarachnia, Rin, and their partners' positions, pitchforks at the read. If one of them is going to go, the time is now]

[She smirks and tosses Rin the device before turning to face the the oncoming enemy with a grin. Just like home.
Dorumon glances from Blackarachnia before releasing her own attack on the approaching enemy. Neither one of them spare the newly digivoloved DORUgamon a glance. That would come later, after they weren't in danger. As for a certain she-spider, she produced a pair of knives and was already rushing into the fight.]

[ Great. An opportunity to be up close with something new and to figure out how this technology could dispel not only the Dark Field, but the Digimon around it. For a hacker like Rin, this was something she was going to take a bit of time with.
At least she's with two competent individuals who knew how to fight. Afterward, she can just fret that she wasn't sure over what she was doing if they make a fuss over it, can't she? The thought is tempting as she pulls her cloak tightly around her form as she takes off, leaving Lunamon in the care of the other two.
Not that her partner is too thrilled with that. Abandoning her Chosen's side feels wrong, but she has to keep the horde just as distracted. Firing Demi Darts towards them, she attempts to weaken the swarm in order for the other two to clean up. ]

Ha! Take that! Take that and that, and that! Power Metal!
[DORUgamon blinked as he spat out a cannonball, which ended up smashing into a Devidramon's gut. Power Metal? He didn't have that attack...]
... Holy Holsmon! I evolved! Prime, look at me! I evolved!
[Optimus could only grimace as he narrowly avoided having his arm snapped off by a SangLoupmon. He put some distance between himself and the wolf digimon, scanning the battlefield for... Rin. She had a clear line to the Dark Field...
... save for the Boogeymon that had set its sights on her, aiming to drop down and impale her with its pitchfork]
RIN! ABOVE YOU!
[meanwhile, a portion of the SangLoupmon set their sights on Blackarachnia and DORUmon, flinging their Sticker Blades at them]

Dodging attacks was easy for Blackarachnia. One would almost thing she was a gymnast with how she moved to avoid getting hit. Meanwhile her digimon opened her mouth and shot an iron sphere out of her mouth at the oncoming Digimon.]
Metal Canon!
[The attack distracted the Sangloup enough for Blackarachnia to get in close, slashing and stabbing with her daggers. Anyone watching her can tell the she-spider was no stranger to battles.]

[ Thankfully muttered under her breath (she does have to set a good example for Lunamon after all), she jerks her head up enough to notice the weapon coming down towards her in time. Having been in enough scuffles herself, she's gotten good at dodging things. Not that she's all too eager to show off her own combat skills, but there's little choice other than to fight now. With the rest of them quite a distance away and Lunamon distracted...
She drops the device into a pile of sand as carefully as possible first. ]
What a real pain! [ Grabbing a hold of the pitchfork to drag the Digimon in closer with a rough yank, she brings her other hand around to deck it right in the face. ] Could one of you two handle this or something?
[ Lunamon herself just might be more frightened of her partner than the realization she just let her almost get hurt. ]
