[OOC: Please, only one mission per Chosen so that others have a chance to take part as well! There is only one Dark Field Eliminator, and the groups will receive it. Do not break it. This will act as a mingle log. The missions are simple, so this is really an opportunity for you to log out CR if you'd like it. There really is no sign up for these. We just request that you do not go over the max number of participants, but you can certainly have under the number if everyone is alright with that. Remember, some of these will be taking place during the weather event, so if there's a day you want your character to be in the city for and it's a far away area, plan accordingly!  Enjoy!]

... You guys remember the part where I've been here before? There's a route that'll get us up to the ramparts, and that's a way shorter climb for carrying people.

If something comes out, we're gonna need our strongest in front to cover us...and I only ever fought outside'a this place. So I think you're going first. [To Alex.]

Don't worry, Rita can evolve pretty quickly if something happens.

[He grins and gives a thumbs up while Rita blushes sheepishly]

I'm still working on the whole...evolving outside of battle thing.

[Either way the two of them fall into step behind Alex]

[Biyomon looks at Harry apologetically] Sorry I can't digivolve.

[He pats Biyomon's head as they falls in line behind everyone else]

Rather, take it as a sign of success. To my understanding, you reach your next stage by your partner being in mortal danger. If you're not growing, you're doing a good job of keeping your partner out of danger.

[Gazimon takes this opportunity to evolve back into Bastemon, having shrunk down to ride the train, and takes point.]

[Terra rolls her eyes; they'll be a barrel of laughs, oh yeah.] Gots can digivolve to Champion, but I haven't gotten this thing to work yet. [She holds up the Crest of Friendship around her neck.] He's pretty big too... Beastboy, you go second?

[He doubles his pace to make sure he and Rita are second in line.]

We don't have a crest yet...Oh, in case no one told you Harry? Crests are these things...

[He points to Terra's]

They help your Digimon evolve even further.

[He leans a little forward to examine it as closely as he can without getting too close to Terra]

Are we supposed to find those? They don't give them to us when we get here, do they?

Oh, god, no. They come out of bloody nowhere. Mine came out of an enemy's body, I've heard reports of others just materializing out of thin damned air.

If you're new, the first thing you should learn is that nothing about this place is nice or easy or logical.

I don't think we were running on logic to begin with. [Terra holds the crest out closer so Harry can get a better look.] They're s'pposed to represent your strongest trait.

So naturally Terra got the Crest of Friendship~ She's the best friend and girlfriend a guy could ask for.

Then once you get one your Digimon can evolve to the next level, and you get cool discounts and stuff in the district that your crest matches up to.

[Honestly, curious as he is about the whole thing, he hopes his crest doesn't come out of something's body. He doesn't see it being pretty.

Biyomon keeps looking around himself.]

Um... If Lotusmon was here, does this mean the castle won't be empty?

Depends. She was here for the SCOPE Virus the first time, and she got it. There might be nothing left she wants here, so we're safe.

If we get sight of 'er, we're take off, alright? [She recognizes that Biyomon appears a bit...nervous.] No point in fighting a losing battle.

[Rita and Beastboy have another silent conversation where they seem to be disagreeing over if they should stand and fight or run]

[Harry leans over to Biyomon so they can have a slightly private conversation in whispers]

Are you ok?

I am, I just... [there's a sigh] I won't be much use in a fight against something too powerful.

[Harry pats his head again] Hey, it's ok. We're not here looking for a fight, anyway. Things get too serious, we run.

We're going to be on top of a castle and none of us can fly. Unless you plan to run into the Dark Field, do you mind enlightening me on where you intend to run to?

Really, last time we fought her, we took both of her arms with three people. This time, I'm prepared and we know her abilities. Just listen to me and there's no need to run.

Three people and you guys could all reach a higher level. We've got an Ultimate, two Champions, and a Rookie, and you couldn't even beat her before. I'm not gonna fight her if we could distract her instead and then get away.

That's why as I was gonna say, we should go quiet and slow, so if she is here we can get a head start.

[As much as Beastboy wants to prove himself and do heroic type things, he's not foolish enough to argue with his girlfriend over something like this. Pick your battles dude. He does start to speak softer]

Better safe then Digidust then.

[Rita gives a sigh of relief.]

Man, you'd think for a bunch of monsters being made of data they'd have put some more technology in here. Like an elevator or something.

We don't know that Digimon made this castle...and besides you could use the exercise.

[Harry, meanwhile, is used to climbing stairs, so he's pretty well. Biyomon is flying above him, looking calmer and more collected.]

I don't really mind the stairs. I haven't ridden many elevator this past few years, anyway.

Nor I. Besides, why would monsters need it?

[At this point, Alex is going to climb onto Bastemon's back, and Bastemon will just cat her way over to the roof from the ramparts.]
