"I know you're not thinking what I think you're thinking," he said suspiciously. If she was checking him out, even in a coat as nice as this, she had bad taste. He was positive that fever wasn't doing anything for his looks, and even if it weren't present there were burns and scratches all over his face, not quite "battle scars." On top of that, his hair was still rebelling, most of his bangs on his forehead rather than neatly combed back. Hell, he probably looked like some feverish little kid who needed his mommy... not handsome at all.
