"Yeah, sure thing," he said quietly. Okay, so serving food wasn't some kind of monumental task, but... it was nice. It made him feel a little useful, something he'd sorely been missing as of late. It was pretty pathetic that this made him feel useful, but he accepted the feeling for now. So, without a single complaint, he organized the food into two meals he felt were adequate enough for two people with bottomless pits for stomachs.

"Thanks, though," he amended. Even if he didn't want her help, he appreciated it. It felt different than getting help from Squall. Different enough for him to thank her in the first place. She wasn't offering to look down on him. Probably.
