Characters: Yu and Roze
When: Shortly before the Translation event
Where: Starting at Roze's place
What: Yu finally makes good on his promise for a date he made when he first arrived: when Roze least expects it.
Yu didn't know why he chose today to finally take Roze out: it was a throw away comment made weeks ago, after all. But he liked to think of himself as a man that kept his word, even made flippantly. Plus... he had a feeling that Roze didn't get woo'd very often, and might appreciate a day out.
He gave her only 15 minutes, exactly what she'd asked for in her text, then knocked.

"It's true, we haven't talked much since the party... I kinda wandered away from you and Dante. My senpai took care of me after, but everything was a little... foggy after that. I want to make it up to you. But... please, don't feel obligated."

She coughed, cleared her throat, shuffled her feet and looked about as uneasy as she sounded.
"I don't really do obligations, Silver. I just go with the flow and do what feels right. I ain't got any plans. A date...well, I guess it'd be kinda nice. 'Specially since I didn't have to beg for it," she muttered, eyes narrowing slightly. There were a lot of people she had to push and cajole for time.

"Did you know a version of the Rainbow Bridge is here? I've been meaning to go see it and would love company."

"Rainbow Bridge. You...want to go see a bridge?" she asked, without a hint of disappointment, only bewilderment. Even so, she reached out and took his hand, because it was offered.
"Yeah. Yeah, we can go see it. I wonder if its at all like the real thing, actually. Stuff is pretty iffy around this place."
Really, what else did you say? She couldn't imagine Squall or Dante asking something so strangely mundane. Seifer maybe, but even then, she thought he might see fit to add flourish and make is sound bigger than it was just for effect.
Yu wanted to see a bridge with her. Well...alright.

"...trust me. I don't want to give too much away. I might not be as exciting as some, but I try. So give me a chance."

"Am I bein' rude?" she asks, cocking her head to the side and furrowing her brows uncertainly. "Its kinda hard to tell sometimes what's gonna come off as rude and what's just gonna come out as 'oh haha that Roze, she's such a pill', y'know? I promise I'm not tryin' t'be. Just kinda weird, I guess..."
It struck her then that this was, technically, turning into her first ever actual date.
That made her face turn rosy quite suddenly, though she said nothing to explain the suffusion of color.

"No, you're not being rude. Just understandably confused. I can't help it, I like spontaneity. And melons."
He tugs lightly on her hand, leading her out into the hall and down towards the building doors. "I know our tastes in these things might not mesh up well, so if you get bored, let me know. Okay?"
no subject
"Silver, I really doubt I'll get that bored. Anything is better than sitting around the apartment watching the same movies over and over alone. So frankly, if you wanna see a bridge, then we're gonna see a fuckin' bridge, and have a great goddamn time doin' it."
As simple as that for her to be on board with his plans. She didn't really know what she was supposed to do on a legitimate date, or how to behave, but she felt that if she couldn't just be herself and have a good time, it wasn't worth it anyways, so worrying over the details and what might be expected was foolish.
