You're Grounded (Backdated to the 8th)

Who: Wheeljack, Arcee, and Hiccup
What: Wheeljack takes Arcee to see Hiccup after she finds out about his 'death'
When: The 8th, at night
Where: The spare room Hiccup's in

[Relief couldn't begin to describe what Wheeljack was feeling. After they'd lost two of their members, four including Arcee and Magnus (who was still MIA), it was getting hard to hope that they were just 'lost'. But with Arcee's return, hope wasn't just something you spouted out at everything that couldn't be seen with the eye.

But it wasn't all fixed. Not just yet. Hiccup still had died, and until Wheeljack found out exactly where the kid who did it was hiding, he was stuck. And had obligations. Like...checking up on him. Arcee had asked him to bring her there to see him too, so there was more riding on this than him.

And although he wouldn't admit it, it hurt to see Hiccup like that.

He felt the same guilt as Arcee. They were meant to protect him after all.

Once she'd gotten her strength up, he helped her towards the apartment that Hiccup resided in, letting her lean on his shoulder as they walked. It wasn't far, thankfully (or..it COULD be farther), and when he reaches that familiar door, You scurries ahead and opens it for them.

Nothing like walking in with no warning.]

[Hey, who's the second visitor here? He is. Don't you sass him in your brackets. He keeps looking ahead, craning his neck in farther to see Hiccup--still on the bed.

In a way, that made him more relieved. Nothing had come to get him. He was a little too used to that being a thing, so it's a nice change of pace. His grip on Arcee stays firm as he leads her over, eventually letting the two have some 'alone' time (see: he's in the room but they're talking).]

You holdin' up, kid?

[There's a wary glance around the room, just...making sure there WERE no uninvited guests.]

[Cue Arcee pushing Wheeljack away the moment she even hears Hiccup. She scrambles on over to the kid, invading all the personal bubbles and even shoving Fearless out of the way a little. It isn't long before she's grabbing Hiccup by the head and pressing it against her own because don't you EVER SCARE HER LIKE THAT AGAIN.]

I don't even want a explanation right now.

[Explain how you died later, let her just get this out of her system.]

[Fearless lets out a tiny squeak when Arcee suddenly pushes him out of the way onto the bed next to Hiccup, but he doesn't protest when he sees her immediately make her way over to Hiccup. Hiccup, meanwhile, stiffens slightly at the gesture, staring up at Arcee since he can't really move otherwise.

After a minute he closes his eyes and relaxes, keeping silent as she holds him there. He almost wants to apologize for, well, dying, but she already said she didn't need an explanation. He did what he had to- stupidly, now that he thinks about it- and ended up getting killed because of it.

Still, he wouldn't have done it any other way.]

[The push goes unnoticed. He's used to the roughhousing nature of it for it to not even effect him. His eyes actually cast down, as if watching it were interuptting it in some way, finding the cut of his jacket suddenly interesting as he fiddles with his sleeves.

He'd agree with her, though, on the explanation. It's not something he'd exactly want to hear again, himself. That whole failure-to-help thing still resting on his shoulders.]

You holdin' up, kid?

[Nice, neutral conversation, as he puts that hand back on his shoulder, giving a smirk.]

Your partner better be takin' good care of ya.

[Followed by a glance to Fearless. There's no doubt in the statement, more of an amused quip.]
