It was cold and Duo didn't like it. That was the one thing that he was thinking about most. Well, that and how he was glad he finally had managed to get away from the set of floating gears that wouldn't leave him alone. He almost felt sorry for it, that it couldn't keep up with him. But almost was almost and not a full-fledged feeling.
A breeze blew through the park, causing Duo to shiver. He wrapped his arms tightly around his middle as he settled down on a nearby bench, his eyes glancing around from beneath his cap. So far, the gears hadn't found him yet. Maybe it would stay away and leave him alone.
With a grumble, he pulled his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around his shins. His cap moved ever so slightly as he pressed his forehead to his knees.
"'Least it's better than the cell," he muttered to himself. He never expected anyone to be nearby, least of all close enough to hear him.
Roaming Park
