HOLIDAY ARRIVALS.
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting December 3rd, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
It has been a long November, and the weather is starting to get colder, a side-effect of the worlds merging. Maybe it's welcome, maybe it's a hindrance, but a rumble rises at the start of the day, signalling new Chosen are starting to arrive. Culumon bounces about the Terminal Room, lonely after waiting so long. Stepping outside, the Chosen will find a bit of a mess before them. The city's been through a lot lately.
Outside the Main Terminal, there is a bin with pamphlets to help supplement the information received on the new Chosen's D-Terminals. The information is...a little bit outdated, with last month's troubling reveals.
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

Roaming Park
A breeze blew through the park, causing Duo to shiver. He wrapped his arms tightly around his middle as he settled down on a nearby bench, his eyes glancing around from beneath his cap. So far, the gears hadn't found him yet. Maybe it would stay away and leave him alone.
With a grumble, he pulled his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around his shins. His cap moved ever so slightly as he pressed his forehead to his knees.
"'Least it's better than the cell," he muttered to himself. He never expected anyone to be nearby, least of all close enough to hear him.
Pilot want a ninja?
He noticed the other just as he pulled his knees up and moved closer to see if he was okay, not thinking about changing his movements so the other could know he was there. He was able to hear the muttered comment from where he stopped on a tree branch not far from the other.
"Hey, are you alright?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. If Duo looked over he would see a teen boy perched in a tree, clothed in green and brown but with a bright orange scarf around his neck and hair to match. Freckles and blue eyes add to the almost innocent sense of his round face. On one shoulder is a Salamon, who seems to be comfortably seated there, and at one side is a Leormon similarly perched on the branch.

hopefully he'll be a little less freaked out this time?
Still, she's going to move a little bit closer to him, looking over at the boy a bit. "And aren't you cold? You don't really look like you're dressed for this weather."

The fall has come as suddenly and unexpectedly as the first time. However, there was a first time and somewhere in the brain muddled by pain and confusion, Misha managed to scoot herself into the corner to ride out the panic, the terror, the tears and the shakes. Falling would never be safe for her, never ever, but she could learn to cope. Maybe. It wasn't like she dropped herself off buildings or other stupid heights to get the experience through her skull until it normalized.
Her life was crazy. Misha, despite appearances, was not.
b) city streets;
Reuniting with Thelma had been pretty cathartic. Misha's powers were gone, but her partner was still here, still loyal and eager to please. What was the most confusing was the Psychemon by Thelma's side, claiming a similar position of partnership despite her complete lack of appearance all three months during Misha's previous visit to Terminal Tokyo.
"So, you were... what, again?" Misha asked, hands balled into fists inside her pockets as she rode out the last physical symptoms of her panic. Her mind was still in a few pieces, making it hard to take in the explanation.
Pyschemon tapped the side of her nose. "Detained," she said slowly, drawn out. It wasn't the first time she had tried to answer Misha's question, but it had become obvious Misha really wasn't able to take the full story just yet. With a sideglance to Thelma, she added, "But I really am your partner, you know! We both are."
"I was just here first," Thelma said with a proud puff of her chest. "So, obviously—"
"Obviously," Psychemon interrupted, "we just need more time to get to know each other! Maybe you can give me a name like you did for Bearmon!"
Misha spared a moment to pinch the bridge of her nose, then reached down to grasp around Psychemon's horn and give it a reassuring shake. It would be like ruffling hair if the digimon had hair instead of soft, bristly furs on that pelt she wore. "Sure, I'll have to think on that one. Okay?"

Not like earthquakes cause much panic for him to begin with, strangely enough; of all the things to not freak out about.
The point is, it means Campbell by now understands what the earthquakes mean well enough, and after last month he's not sure if he's welcoming of new people arriving or not...or that they would be welcoming. However, the city's a mess and he was already going to go out; Lucette's busy trying to fix up a show, getting some money, and Cam? He's walking about the streets, looking for a shop that's not entirely busted, with Salamon nestled in his arms. He's always wanted a pet, since he was just a kid, so that's been the default place for the timid puppy Digimon.
That's where he is when he spies someone...familiar, and it takes him a moment to place the face. It's been a long few months, after all. His brisk pace slows to a steady walk, and Salamon looks up with a tilt of his head. No, it's not like Cam wants to avoid Misha, he just remembers they didn't exactly have the best conversations? And after how utterly stressful the last months were, he doesn't know if that's a good thing to strike back up, or if she'd be willing to talk, or if social interaction is any good right now, readjusting to the world is really difficult, okay.
Maybe, he thinks, he should just quietly try to slip away.
Salamon loudly sneezes and Cam's hopes slowly fall, his walk slowing to a stop a few feet from Misha.

Come on Dante, I'm sure meeting some of the newbies will cheer you up!

Right, and I'm actually a Mega level. I just met you and even I can tell you're not yourself.

*He cuts off when he hears someone else talking to her partners. He doesn't recognize her (and he definitely wouldn't miss such a cute face), but it doesn't sound like she's new. So he puts aside the gloomy look and walks up, hands in his coat pockets.*
Well, someone ain't actin' like she just showed up. Been stuck here before?

A Kudamon, who had been following her, looked at her worriedly.]
Twilight, are you going to be alright? Because you keep nearly falling over and-
I-it's okay Kudamon, I'm fine. [She straighens herself up] I'm still adjusting to this new body, but I'll be okaaaaaaAAAAHHH~!
[She had tried to walk, but she took one step before she stumbled. She tried to catch herself. but it failed and she landed face-first in a nearby wall. She slid onto her knees, pushing back to rub at her now sore face. She looked at the fox Digimon pitifully.]
Then again, maybe I'm not okay. At all.

Walking through the streets aimlessly
"What is this place?" He said out loud without thinking about it.
"It is the Digital World." Patamon answered with a smile.
He just turned and stared at Patamon. He knew it was the Digital World, but not what that truly meant.
OPEN - Streets;
Just thinking about his circumstances gave him a headache. Him, some kind of "Chosen?" And now he's gotta work with some monster-thing?
As he marches down the streets outside the Terminal Building, the Replica wears a scowl on his mug and pays little mind to the Kotemon toddling after him.]
H-hey! Slow down! I never even got to introdu--
Save it.
[The Replica stops, just briefly, looking at his 'partner' with a deadpan expression.]
If you need a partner that bad, can't you go find a new one? Trust me, I'm no "chosen" anything. Just someone's pet project.
[Just as he prepares to move again, the little Kotemon tilts her head and blinks a few times.]
...No, I'm pretty sure you're one of the Chosen. And I can't replace you! That's, um. Well, you see, I was kind of waiting a long, long time and--
[He's already started moving again, forcing his partner to make chase.
They make it to just outside the meeting hall before the Replica groans, stops once again, and takes a deep breath. If he can just get his darkness to work...
But nothing happens, and soon his partner reaches him. Nonetheless, he keeps trying. Even swipes his arm through the air to call his Soul Eater; no dice. Growling, he glares down at Kotemon.]
Okay, you want me to listen to you? Then you'd better explain why I can't use the darkness anymore. What did they do to me?!
D-darkness? But... I mean, I don't really--
[She stumbles back, voice dropping to a whisper.
Someone may want to step in before he gives her a heart attack. Dude's kind of sucky at this whole partner thing.]
:d
[ Sora's arms are crossed as he frowns a little. seeing someone that is very clearly his best friend is confusing. well. sort of confusing. truth is that Sora has no idea if this guy is the Riku from his reality or not. it could be that this Riku doesn't know Sora or some weird alternate time thingie. all of that is very confusing to him and he's just going to take it one step at a time.
Sora's already been disappointed enough.still. he isn't going to take anyone being rude to their partner. like, seriously. ]

December 4, All Over Town
When it didn't, Yang called out, "Are you sure you don't want to just ask for directions?"
Bearmon paused, turning back around now and finally seemed to realize Yang was waiting on him. She didn't sound impatient though, just trying to be helpful. She even tried to offer the bear a reassuring smile. The bear only opened its mouth once before lowering its head, "I dunno...maybe?
Yang watched the bear digimon for a moment before something clicked for her. "Aww. You're just shy aren't you? Well hey, don't worry about it, I'll handle this part." Yang strode forward, now taking the lead. She nudged Bearmon along and headed for the first person she saw, picking up her pace a bit to catch the person before they left.
"Excuse me! Hello~"

Okay, so maybe Sora brought up something about a giant Digimon, but that couldn't have been the whole story. Could one measley monster really flatten such a big city?
He was lost in his thoughts when Yang called, trudging down the street with a scowl on his face, and it was only when his Kotemon started tugging on his pant leg that he stopped and looked up. Was she talking to him?
Breathing a soft sigh, he lowered one hand to his hip and raised an eyebrow. "You want something?"
His voice carried a slight edge, going hand in hand with his stiff expression. His Kotemon, on the other hand, gave a small wave before sliding behind her partner.

A less crowded city street
The peddler had retreated to a less crowded location to sort out his thoughts, trying to adjust to the world having been turned on its head. Sitting against a wall and staring up at the buildings, he couldn't help but think that perhaps it was the loss of important parts of himself that were most difficult to swallow. Humanity is a bitter medicine when it's not wanted, after all.
"Hey, you gonna be okay?"
Ah yes, perhaps the one thing that might be considered a sort of consolation for disrupting his life. He glanced toward the creature - Elecmon, they had called themselves - at his side. With the loss of his constant companion upon being brought here, Elecmon's presence was... somewhat comforting, he admitted internally.
"Soon. I simply need a moment... to plan our next move."

Rowan was not included in that number.
"Alright. I think that's enough for one day!" called an accented voice from around the corner of the building. "Let's put the rest over here and head in for a meal."
The rattle of rocks and squeak of wheels closed on the pale man's position quite suddenly, announcing the arrival of a dirty, sweaty young man with a mess of brown curls, a white armored knight and a waddling tadpole. They all stopped when the brunette saw the man.
"Oh! Goodness, I'm terribly sorry. We were just about to dump the rocks over here..." he paused, blinking large eyes owlishly. "Are you alright? You're not injured are you?"
"Be careful, milord," the knight murmured warily, stepping forward protectively.
"What? Oh nonsense, Walter. The man is obviously unwell," the dirty young man replied, setting the legs of the wheelbarrow down and weaving between the two Digimon to approach the man and his Elecmon, bowing politely in courtly fashion.
"My name is Rowan. These are my knights, Ser Walter and Ser Piper. Can we...help you, somehow?"

"Next time... can we... maybe go a little... slower? Or less... distance?" Came from an out of breath Lopmon following behind her.
"I don't see a problem with it." Replied the Kudomon who had wound himself around her shoulder.
"That's because... you're up there... getting a ride. I was actually... running!" The Lopmon quipped back.
"I'm sorry Sungura, I didn't realize it would be so much on you, I will find a way to change it for next time so that you aren't so worn out. But for staying with me for it, how about we have some of that 'hot cocoa' when we get back to the apartment." The woman finally spoke up, addressing the Lopmon. She had a medium tone of skin and dark brown hair that was cut short and clean. She was short and lean but there was a sense of power in her movements that came from pure strength.
As the Lopmon responded with a "Yes please!" she had turned her attention in front of her again, and spotted the other. She frowned softly with worry, adjusting her direction to approach him.
"Hello there, are you alright? Do you need any help?" She asked, her head tilting to the side slightly as she asked.

Just outside the Terminal
So, you're my partner here, huh?
[The Leormon's head wavers from side to side as he tries to regain his bearings. Rider's laugh is really loud.]
Y...yeaaaah...My head hurts...
[The lion cub Digimon takes a couple of wobbling steps, before giving up on walking and plopping his butt on the ground.]
Are you always this loud?
...Not always.

Unfortunately.
He's been sticking to alleys and keeping relatively out of sight with Solarmon barely managing to keep the braided boy in view. The boy is fast, and seems to really know what he's doing. It actually worries Solarmon just a little, but he has no time to think about that. Laughter fills the alley and Duo stops. It's not until it dies down that Duo moves, much more slowly than before.]
Duo, what are you doing?
Shush! Do you want to get caught?
[Duo reaches up to push Solarmon out of view before he ducks down himself. He peeks out from behind a piece of rubble as Solarmon floats back up.]
That guy's as big as a mobile suit!
What's a mobile suit?
I said be quiet!

Eventually, though, Scott jerks back to life. He's super disoriented for a minute or two and then he starts mumbling about extra life and where did I put it. He's saner than he seems. Promise.]
outside the terminal.
[Scott's just sitting cross-legged on the ground and getting a crash course in the Digital World from the over-sized mushroom that's standing in front of him. He seems to be taking this very well for someone who just got here. Like, exceedingly well.]
You don't level up? Like, you don't need to reach a certain level in order to digivolve?
For the last time, Scott, nobody levels up here.
. . . But then how do I know when you're ready to digivolve?
[The Mushroomon sighs heavily. It has clearly been answering questions like this for a while. It's possible that Scott's a little. Out there.]

Are you around the Terminal Room? If you are, there's a very, very sad little blonde girl there, sitting with her head on her knees and her arms wrapped around it, to hide from the world. She's crying. Is there any new arrival there to approach her? She's been there for awhile, and nothing, not prods from Culumon or the light cough can get her to move.
City Streets.
With a reddened face and a slightly hanging head, Sophia walks the streets, holding Commandramon's claw. Somehow she feels very safe, because once the shock worked its way through over a dinosaur with a gun, she understood that this thing that's supposed to protect her has a gun, so it's a bit normal. She's used to guns.
Sophia shuffles her feet as they walk, looking around every now and then for...something. Tiny noises make her jump a bit, but it's alright because she doesn't hear the awful moaning, so there aren't walkers. What she worries more about are other people.
Despite this, she can't help but marvel a little at the city. She hasn't seen one like this with people in it since. ...Well, since before.
no subject
"Um, hey." Scott sits down next to Sophia, about a foot away. He doesn't want to sit too close in case she has, like. Personal space issues or whatever. "Are you, like. Okay or whatever?"
She's crying, Scott. Not okay is kind of a given.
"I mean, you're going to be okay. It'll be okay, I think."

"Don't you worry about a thing Buffnut!"
"Ruffnut." The girl corrected him with a look of irritation.
"Like I said. Don't you worry about a thing! I'll show you around and before you know it we'll be living like kings! Vengeful kings!"
Ruffnut didn't know much about kings, but she knew she had no idea where she was and had never seen buildings like this or people dressed how they were. It was really interesting in a "What the hell is going on" sort of way.
And where the hell was her brother? She couldn't wait around for him forever.
no subject
"I don't know how many people here would like that." He couldn't help but comment, his bright smile at odds with the kind of downer statement he had made. Dressed in his normal browns and greens he made an interesting image as always with his bright orange hair and orange scar setting off his blue eyes, his freckles only adding to the young look of his face.
With him were a Salamon perched on his shoulder and a Leormon walking at his side.
"Hi, I'm Mikey, one of the Chosen. You said your name was Ruffnut?"

He made it to the edge of the park before he froze, eyes popping wide open and jaw dropping at the sight of another Dukemon. He reached up and rubbed his eyes, poked himself with one of his claws, but nope. This wasn't a dream!
But then, he saw another Sakuyamon, didn't he? And there were two other Guilmon in the city...
One thought popped into Guilmon's mind.
"Hey, are you Mikasa's Guilmon? I didn't think the new partners could evolve yet!"
