HOLIDAY ARRIVALS.

Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting December 3rd, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

It has been a long November, and the weather is starting to get colder, a side-effect of the worlds merging. Maybe it's welcome, maybe it's a hindrance, but a rumble rises at the start of the day, signalling new Chosen are starting to arrive. Culumon bounces about the Terminal Room, lonely after waiting so long. Stepping outside, the Chosen will find a bit of a mess before them. The city's been through a lot lately.

Outside the Main Terminal, there is a bin with pamphlets to help supplement the information received on the new Chosen's D-Terminals. The information is...a little bit outdated, with last month's troubling reveals.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

Scott's not that great with girls, especially ones that are crying, but what if this is like. Some kind of test? What if he has to talk to the girl and make her feel better before he can leave the room? Brave face, Scott. Brave face.

"Um, hey." Scott sits down next to Sophia, about a foot away. He doesn't want to sit too close in case she has, like. Personal space issues or whatever. "Are you, like. Okay or whatever?"

She's crying, Scott. Not okay is kind of a given.

"I mean, you're going to be okay. It'll be okay, I think."

This is the first human Sophia's seen -- or rather, heard, she still has her face in her legs -- here, and it doesn't have the response hoped for, because humans? Other humans seem to scare Sophia more than walkers nowadays.

So she cries harder.

Good job, Scott. You're on level one and you've already fucked up. Scott looks around for a . . . parental unit or some shit, because kids are supposed to have those. But yeah, there's nothing. Okay, plan C: open mouth and say something hopefully less terrible.

"Do you want to play? There's a." Scott squints at Culumon. Fuck if he knows whether that's a rabbit or not, so he goes with something more generic. "Animal that's been bugging me to play for the last ten minutes. It looks friendly and stuff. Much better than me, anyway."

"I want to go home!!" Sophia yells this into her legs and buries herself deeper. "I want mommy, I want daddy!"

Well, that's three things Scott can't do for Sophia. This is going super.

"I . . . don't think . . . any of those things are going to happen." Scott sounds genuinely sorry about this, because he knows how difficult it is to be suddenly thrust into weird situations. Dealing with children is so not defeating evil exes, though. "And I'm super sorry about that, because it sucks. But, like, someone here might know something about your parents or, like. They could be looking for you."

He's not really sure about that, and he doesn't want to give her any false hope but he figures that false hope is better than no nope, probably.

With a tiny hiccup, Sophia finally looks up. This guy doesn't look mean. He's an older one, not as old as Carl's daddy. Maybe as old as her daddy. She misses him a lot.

"My daddy can't be here," she says with a sad mumble. "Why can't I go home?"
