HOLIDAY ARRIVALS.
Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting December 3rd, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
It has been a long November, and the weather is starting to get colder, a side-effect of the worlds merging. Maybe it's welcome, maybe it's a hindrance, but a rumble rises at the start of the day, signalling new Chosen are starting to arrive. Culumon bounces about the Terminal Room, lonely after waiting so long. Stepping outside, the Chosen will find a bit of a mess before them. The city's been through a lot lately.
Outside the Main Terminal, there is a bin with pamphlets to help supplement the information received on the new Chosen's D-Terminals. The information is...a little bit outdated, with last month's troubling reveals.
OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

"Huh?"
Turning around, he saw the young lady, giving a friendly smile.
"Oho, sorry, hi there! Y'need something?"
no subject
"Sure do. I'm Yang and this is my new friend, Bearmon." She paused and saw that he had one of the bear monsters too. She laughed, "Oh hey, I guess you have one too," she looked down at the two digimon...one was a bird of some kind. Why did he have two? Whoops, she was getting distracted. Yang looked back up at the guy, "Anyway, we're a little lost. Bearmon was trying to show me around but he's not very good at directions."
Yang rocked on her heels, batting her eyes, "You wouldn't mind helping a girl out, would ya?"
no subject
"Hah, oh that's cool! Haven't met anyone else with a Bearmon yet."
His own Bearmon is peering down at the digimon curiously from his perch in Martin's arms, a toothy grin spreading across his face as he waves to him, his voice really young sounding.
"Hi there, my name's Cody!"
Martin laughs a little at his partner's enthusiasm, before glancing at Yang.
"Sure, I don't mind helping at all. H'this place is pretty big; it's easy to get turned around in, aha'and there's not too many helpful landmarks left."
His grin turns a little sheepish, his gaze briefly ticking in the direction of some nearby damage. His expression is back to cheerful a moment later though.
"Were you looking for any place in particular?"
no subject
She glances around her. "Yeah, I sort of noticed that. What happened here? Some kind of war?" It certainly wasn't your typical fight...not with THIS much property damage. Yang had been in her fair share of brawls and knew what damage like that should look like. This was MUCH bigger.
Yang taps her chin, "Hmm. Bearmon mentioned trying to find the apartments the new arrivals stay at. I guess if we start there it would make sense. Then at least I know where to crash for the night."
no subject
"Something like that, yeah. This giant digimon attacked the city a little while back and it's been a slow rebuilding process."
Nevermind all the issues some of the Chosen and their partners had been facing. He didn't exactly want to go into that right at the moment though, so he jumped at the chance for a new topic.
"Oho, that's easy; I was headed back there myself actually. H'you can just follow me back."
He shifts Cody into one arm and holds a hand out in greeting.
"I'm Martin, by the way. Heh, you've already met Cody-" "Hi!!" "-Ah'and this is my other partner Adele."
[The Penguinmon looks a little off-put briefly at being introduced second, but she gives a friendly wave all the same.]
"Nice to meet you."
no subject
"Sounds great! I really appreciate this." Yang shakes his hand with a cheerful smile, "Nice to meet you Martin." See? Making friends wasn't hard. She still didn't get why Ruby had had much trouble those first few days at Beacon...but she'd figured it all out eventually Yang supposed. "And hello Cody and Adele." She looked back at her own Bearmon, maybe she should consider a name for him too. He hadn't said anything about a name though and had introduced himself as Bearmon. But, she was still new, so maybe she could figure that out later. Bearmon looked up at her shyly. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he didn't so Yang turned her gaze back to Martin and his two partners.
"All right then, which way do we go?"
no subject
"They're back this way. The apartments are all set inside of the Meeting Hall in the center of town. H'makes'em pretty easy to find once you know where they are."
He started heading in that direction, Adele following along beside him.
"Tokyo Tower used to be a pretty good landmark for it h'because it's taller than most of the other buildings and pretty close by but...the tower took a bit of a beating during the fighting."
His grin turned a little sheepish at that.
no subject
"Sounds like I missed some fun. You guys get attacked like that often? How do you fend them off? I haven't been able to get my own weapons working and I haven't seen any Dust shops yet anyway." Yang holds up her wrist, shaking the gauntlet on it out a bit. They are bright yellow and make a clanking noise, but otherwise it's as she says...right now they are pretty useless.
no subject
The recovery and re-building process would probably be a bit more organized and further underway if it was.
"The more experienced Chosen and their partners all banded together to fend off the attackers though. H'it's pretty amazing what some of them can do, especially when they digivolve."
Trying not to get distracted thinking about the amazing creature powers of digimon, he glances back at her, intrigued a bit by the gauntlets.
"Oho, yeah, outside tech doesn't seem to work too well here. Stuff me and my brother had on us from home still isn't working either. ...Did you say you're looking for a Dust shop?"
He raises an eyebrow curiously. There's plenty of dust all over the place right now, but that's probably not what she's looking for.
no subject
"Darn," Yang muttered at the news, rubbing at one of her gauntlets with a pout. She sighed, "Oh well, guess I'll have to rely on other methods." She blinked at his question. How had he not heard about Dust? Oh, right, new world. It stood to reason that if Dust didn't work here in this strange place that there would be people who hadn't heard of it...somehow. "Noooot that kind of dust. Capital 'D'. It's a form of energy and is used to power a bunch of different things."
no subject
Dust sounded a little bit like coal power to him. Or possibly even the Tellurium crystals that powered the Tortuga. Either way though, he hadn't seen either in the city. He blinked as Adele spoke up.
"If you're worried about defending yourself here, don't worry. Your digimon'll have your back."
He gave a small laugh at that, a little amused that a favored phrase between he and his brother was catching on with his partner. He nodded in agreement, as he glanced at Yang.
"She's right. Your partner's here to help you."
no subject
Of course, at least at Beacon she could help her partner a little more than just cheering him on or giving energy or whatever it was that bonded partners. "Guess we'll have to see, huh Bearmon?"
Surprisingly, Bearmon spoke up at this. Yang noticed a strange glint in his eyes, "I'll always have your back, Yang. You can count on that much."
"Wow. A whole two sentences in front of strangers. I'm impressed."
Bearmon looked down again.
no subject
"Hah, there you go!"
A tug at his shirt front from his own Bearmon got his attention and he looked down.
"What's up, buddy?"
"Martin, we're here."
He blinks and looks aside, before giving a slightly sheepish sounding laugh.
"Oh! Well, there we go!"
He's stopped in front of a large, expansive building: the meeting hall.
"...You nearly walked right past it again, didn't you?"
He playfully shushes his Penguinmon, and then looks back at Yang.
"This is it. The apartments are on all four floors. ...D'you know which room and floor number you've got?"
no subject
"Thanks for leading the way," she doesn't mind if they'd walked past it, he was good company. "Third Flood I think. Room six. I think I've got it from here if you were doing something before helping me out."
no subject
"No problem! Hah'actually, I'm heading the same way. My room's on the third floor too."
It's a small digital world after all.
"I'm in Room 4. H'my brother, Chris, is on that floor too, Room 10. If you need any help getting settled in, either of us'd be happy to help."
Helping is a thing they like to do.
