HOLIDAY ARRIVALS.

Characters: Everyone! (Only new arrivals are allowed in the Terminal Room)
When: Starting December 3rd, 2013
Where: Terminal Room or all over town!
What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!

It has been a long November, and the weather is starting to get colder, a side-effect of the worlds merging. Maybe it's welcome, maybe it's a hindrance, but a rumble rises at the start of the day, signalling new Chosen are starting to arrive. Culumon bounces about the Terminal Room, lonely after waiting so long. Stepping outside, the Chosen will find a bit of a mess before them. The city's been through a lot lately.

Outside the Main Terminal, there is a bin with pamphlets to help supplement the information received on the new Chosen's D-Terminals. The information is...a little bit outdated, with last month's troubling reveals.

OOC: Feel free to mark your characters in different locations! They can be just arriving in the Terminal Room you read about in the arrival post or anywhere on the map! Also feel free to mark the day for each thread. You can also request to play with Culumon, too! Have fun, guys!

He pointed back behind him, indicating the way even further with a nod of his head.

"They're back this way. The apartments are all set inside of the Meeting Hall in the center of town. H'makes'em pretty easy to find once you know where they are."

He started heading in that direction, Adele following along beside him.

"Tokyo Tower used to be a pretty good landmark for it h'because it's taller than most of the other buildings and pretty close by but...the tower took a bit of a beating during the fighting."

His grin turned a little sheepish at that.

Yang looked around as Martin spoke about the area. If Bearmon was going to be bad with directions, she'd have to get used to the area so she could navigate. She had a lot of questions, but wasn't exactly sure where to start with asking.

"Sounds like I missed some fun. You guys get attacked like that often? How do you fend them off? I haven't been able to get my own weapons working and I haven't seen any Dust shops yet anyway." Yang holds up her wrist, shaking the gauntlet on it out a bit. They are bright yellow and make a clanking noise, but otherwise it's as she says...right now they are pretty useless.

"Hah-you could call it that. It was definitely...interesting. I'm a little new here still myself; h'I just arrived about a month ago along with my brother. But I don't think the city is used to getting attacked like this."

The recovery and re-building process would probably be a bit more organized and further underway if it was.

"The more experienced Chosen and their partners all banded together to fend off the attackers though. H'it's pretty amazing what some of them can do, especially when they digivolve."

Trying not to get distracted thinking about the amazing creature powers of digimon, he glances back at her, intrigued a bit by the gauntlets.

"Oho, yeah, outside tech doesn't seem to work too well here. Stuff me and my brother had on us from home still isn't working either. ...Did you say you're looking for a Dust shop?"

He raises an eyebrow curiously. There's plenty of dust all over the place right now, but that's probably not what she's looking for.
burnblonde: (I don't care.)

She'd read about digivolving in some of the information at the place she'd arrived at. Yang was good about collecting information and hunting it down when she needed to. Usually she used her charms and good looks, though sometimes she had to use her fists. Really either worked for her, but this time the information about the digimon and digivolving had just been dropped into her lap. It was a nice change in some ways.

"Darn," Yang muttered at the news, rubbing at one of her gauntlets with a pout. She sighed, "Oh well, guess I'll have to rely on other methods." She blinked at his question. How had he not heard about Dust? Oh, right, new world. It stood to reason that if Dust didn't work here in this strange place that there would be people who hadn't heard of it...somehow. "Noooot that kind of dust. Capital 'D'. It's a form of energy and is used to power a bunch of different things."
the_lion_roller: (★ I wonder why...?)

[personal profile] the_lion_roller 2013-12-13 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh...huh...yeah, haven't seen anything like that around here yet."

Dust sounded a little bit like coal power to him. Or possibly even the Tellurium crystals that powered the Tortuga. Either way though, he hadn't seen either in the city. He blinked as Adele spoke up.

"If you're worried about defending yourself here, don't worry. Your digimon'll have your back."

He gave a small laugh at that, a little amused that a favored phrase between he and his brother was catching on with his partner. He nodded in agreement, as he glanced at Yang.

"She's right. Your partner's here to help you."

"Is that so? Well, at Beacon I was supposed to be getting used to working on a team...I guess this can kind of be like that." Yang looks down at Bearmon. He's so shy and quiet, though she knows such things can be deceiving. Penny, for example, from what her sister had said was a veritable war machine. Most people didn't think Yang could kick their ass either. So she knew something about that.

Of course, at least at Beacon she could help her partner a little more than just cheering him on or giving energy or whatever it was that bonded partners. "Guess we'll have to see, huh Bearmon?"

Surprisingly, Bearmon spoke up at this. Yang noticed a strange glint in his eyes, "I'll always have your back, Yang. You can count on that much."

"Wow. A whole two sentences in front of strangers. I'm impressed."

Bearmon looked down again.

He glances at Yang's Bearmon at that, chuckling a little and grinning encouragingly.

"Hah, there you go!"

A tug at his shirt front from his own Bearmon got his attention and he looked down.

"What's up, buddy?"

"Martin, we're here."

He blinks and looks aside, before giving a slightly sheepish sounding laugh.

"Oh! Well, there we go!"

He's stopped in front of a large, expansive building: the meeting hall.

"...You nearly walked right past it again, didn't you?"

He playfully shushes his Penguinmon, and then looks back at Yang.

"This is it. The apartments are on all four floors. ...D'you know which room and floor number you've got?"
burnblonde: (that can stop me)

[personal profile] burnblonde 2013-12-23 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yang tilts her head back to look at the building. So, this will be her place to crash for the next...who knows how long. Man she really hopes this doesn't cut into her graduation from Beacon. Could she really be stuck here THAT long? She looks back down, one thing at a time Yang.

"Thanks for leading the way," she doesn't mind if they'd walked past it, he was good company. "Third Flood I think. Room six. I think I've got it from here if you were doing something before helping me out."

He gives an easy-going grin and then laughs a little.

"No problem! Hah'actually, I'm heading the same way. My room's on the third floor too."

It's a small digital world after all.

"I'm in Room 4. H'my brother, Chris, is on that floor too, Room 10. If you need any help getting settled in, either of us'd be happy to help."

Helping is a thing they like to do.

"Sweet! Sounds like we'll be hall mates then," Yang replies with a grin. "Come on Bearmon, let's find out if we have any roommates yet or not. I hope it's not as cramped as the rooms at Beacon." Bearmon doesn't look quite as eager, but he's long since resigned himself to following Yang where ever. Who knows what trouble she'll get into after all.
