Merry Christmas, Chosen...

What: The giving of the D-Streams
Where: Terminal City, Roaming Park
When: December 25th, 2013, morning

At the stroke of midnight on December 25th, every Chosen and their partners fall asleep wherever they are, with nothing able to wake them. They won't stay there all night, however. Bright and early, as if turned on by a switch, the Chosen will awaken in their beds to find their Digivices missing. The individual Digimon -- those without rooms, brought in like the Chosen -- similarly fall into slumber or stasis, waking where the stand in the morning in the morning.

They will all wake up with a note in their rooms, written in beautiful script. "Come to Roaming Park," it says. There's some kind of noise outside. Something drawing everyone out. Noticeable first is the fall of snow, so far absent from Terminal Tokyo. It covers, among everything else, Roaming Park, where on a bench there sits a Venusmon, with a very large sack. Around her are tables full of all sorts of food, and Digimon there both partaking in it and setting up more. It's a whole feast, not spoiled by the weather, but enhanced by it.

[ooc: Below there will be a thread to interact with Venusmon, where she will answer some questions and give out the D-Streams. Every non-canon Digimon character will receive a D-Stream, whether they see her or not. At the end of the day, they will appear in the Chosen's hands. This can also be used to generally mingle with each other and enjoy the snow.]

Jeeze, the last time he talked with Hiccup and it was immediately after his death. They needed to meet in better circumstances, for sure. That aside, the big guy did not forget his friend in the slightest.

Quite the contrary. he wanted to get the viking something special, a token of his appreciation. He approached the smaller teenager, holding the present behind his back.

Behind him, his two digimon were making a game out of master and slave, with Duke the master.

The ex-gator sat beside him, regarding the boy's carvings, "...you make things so well, Hiccup."

Hiccup looked up when he heard Leatherhead approach, offering him a friendly smile along with a roll of his shoulders in the form of a shrug. "Thanks Leatherhead. I got a bit of a late start on these presents but....well, better late than never."

Speaking of which, he reached down into the sack next to him and held out two small figures for Leatherhead to take. Each bore the exact likeness of his two partners, the details nearly identical to the point where it would be impossible to mistake them for anyone else.

"Merry Christmas." ...And uh, Happy Snoggletog.

The former alligator looked at his work, unbelievable....they looked just like his partners. The two digimon came from behind his legs to look at them themselves. Monodramon immediately grabs his hugging it.

Leatherhead on the other hand, seems sheepish since Hiccup's gift seems much more detailed and thought-out than his...all he had was a notebook with a note inside.

"Thank you, but...I am not sure you would like my present..."

"Hmm?" Hiccup tilted his head, lowering his hands to his lap for the moment. "Aw....whatever you got me I'm sure I'm going to love it, Leatherhead. It's the thought that counts, right?"

He gazed at the little notebook with the word FRIEND inscribed in runes. He knew how much Hiccup liked taking notes and drawing so...he shyly revealed it to the teenaged viking, "...I hope you do not hate it."

Hiccup blinked slowly as he took the notebook from Leatherhead, staring down at it with surprise. His runes had gotten quite good and he could clearly read the message written on it, making the little book that much more meaningful.

"Hate it?" He whispered with a faint chuckle, opening the book so he can briefly leaf through the blank pages. Then he looked up at the boy, his smile bright and genuine. "I love it. Thank you."

Despite their rough start, Leatherhead considered him a great friend and someone to look up to.

It made him nearly turn all flustered from the smile. He just...could never get used to other's kindness, "You deserve it...and more. Have a good Christmas."

"You too, Leatherhead. All of you." Hiccup gave a nod to Leatherhead's partners, smiling as he moved to rest an elbow on his good knee. "And...make sure you give me a call if you ever want to brush up on your runes."

"I would love to learn more...maybe I could teach Michelangelo those runes."

Ugh, immediately Duke made gagging motions with his hand.

"LEATHERHEAD! Duke's dying!"

Hiccup rolled his eyes a bit, keeping his attention on Leatherhead. "I bet you could. They're not all that hard to learn. It just takes practice."

"Maybe you could meet him too," he forgot that his 'family' hadn't yet met his first best friend, "You would like him."
