Merry Christmas, Chosen...

Who: Venusmon, everyone
What: The giving of the D-Streams
Where: Terminal City, Roaming Park
When: December 25th, 2013, morning

At the stroke of midnight on December 25th, every Chosen and their partners fall asleep wherever they are, with nothing able to wake them. They won't stay there all night, however. Bright and early, as if turned on by a switch, the Chosen will awaken in their beds to find their Digivices missing. The individual Digimon -- those without rooms, brought in like the Chosen -- similarly fall into slumber or stasis, waking where the stand in the morning in the morning.

They will all wake up with a note in their rooms, written in beautiful script. "Come to Roaming Park," it says. There's some kind of noise outside. Something drawing everyone out. Noticeable first is the fall of snow, so far absent from Terminal Tokyo. It covers, among everything else, Roaming Park, where on a bench there sits a Venusmon, with a very large sack. Around her are tables full of all sorts of food, and Digimon there both partaking in it and setting up more. It's a whole feast, not spoiled by the weather, but enhanced by it.

[ooc: Below there will be a thread to interact with Venusmon, where she will answer some questions and give out the D-Streams. Every non-canon Digimon character will receive a D-Stream, whether they see her or not. At the end of the day, they will appear in the Chosen's hands. This can also be used to generally mingle with each other and enjoy the snow.]

"Yep!", Kit said. "I'm gonna be playing my flupe and telling some stories from back home. Trixie's helping me with some special effects, so it should be really neat."

"Awesome! I can't wait!" Chika exclaimed, trying to do all she could to not grab the other girl in a hug right then and there. She was super excited, and she was sure that Kit was going to be awesome at playing the flupe. Though, well...

"Umm... Kit? What's a flupe?"

"This is," Kit said simply, pulling her flupe out of her belt pouch to show Chika. "Back home I could use it to put people in a trance, or even put them to sleep, but it doesn't have any magic here. It can still play music, though, an' that's the important part."

Chika blinked as she looked at the instrument. "Wow. That's pretty cool. I guess it's kinda like a flute or something. Only curved and stuff." At least, that's what it seemed like to her, anyway.

Of course, Chika was not someone who was really well versed in instruments, so she could've been completely wrong.

"Yep, kinda," Kit said. "It sounds a little different, though." She demonstrated by bringing it to her lips and playing a few scales. The sound was warmer and more organic than that of a standard flute; probably closer to an ocarina if Chika'd ever heard one. But it's still pretty, and the easy way Kit handled it shows that she'd had plenty of practice.

Chika's eyes widened when Kit started to play it. Sure, she was interested in hearing how it sounded but she wasn't expecting her friend to start playing now. And... wow. That sounded pretty good. Like, really good and awesome.

She's going to wait until Kit's done playing. But once the other girl is done. "Oh wow Kit! That sounded awesome! How long have you been practicing that for?" Because while Chika could play a recorder or something, she kinda sucked. She was bad with music stuff okay.

Kit grinned at the praise. "A couple years now," she said, "ever since I got it. It was actually a Rammastide present too, so that makes it special." It was actually the last Rammastide gift she'd gotten from both her parents, so it was even more special than that, but she didn't want to bring such depressing thoughts to such a happy day.

She tucked her flupe back away, and turned back to Chika. "Anyway," she said, "I have some more fruit bread to give people, so I should probly go do that. I'll talk to you later, OK?"

Chika smiled, but nodded when she heard what Kit said. "Yeah. I guess that's pretty important for you to do," she admitted, before giggling. "After all, you don't want to miss everybody! I'll see you later!"

Chika paused for a moment, before grinning and pulling Kit into a hug real quick. "And thanks for the bread! I'm sure I"ll love it."

Kit returned the hug happily. "You're welcome," she said. "And I'm sure you will too."

Taking hold of her wagon's handle, she started off again, turning back briefly to wave at Chika as she walked away. "Merry Christmas! And Happy Rammastide!"
