Day 1 || FanBeemon

The whole human thing was not something Arcee was a fan of since day one. See, when you're large and, well, metal, becoming small and squishy was probably one of the most demeaning things that can ever happen to you. She was constantly struggling with this overwhelming sense of weakness, and for someone who is a part of a battle-heavy race, that isn't a very good feeling.

To make up for it, Arcee spent the majority of her mornings working out, in hopes to improve this human body the Digital World gave to her. Unfortunately, not knowing how human bodies work often caused her to overdo it, making naps frequent. Her diet was also not very ideal, but what does she know about nutrition? Nothing, that's what. Either way, whatever Arcee believed her body to be at was definitely not where it was in reality, and it certainly wasn't strong enough for her to take on some Digimon alone.

That...did not stop her from running into the city ready for a fight.

It's sad, but a part of Arcee was actually looking forward to the invasion. A very small part. No, she'd never wish for one, and the danger it put people in would never make her jump for joy. It was just, with how out of place she felt in this city, the idea of a large brawl made her feel almost normal again. Not to mention, with the way some of these beemon looked, she might as well be fighting Insecticons just like how she used to. It felt like a way to prove herself, that she could overcome the very thing that is humanity.

But before her feet could even touch the streets and things could go horribly wrong, she's stopped by a small tug on her jacket.

Tapirmon had grabbed it by his mouth, dragging it down to lower Arcee slightly, and then firmly plant his feet onto the pavement. There was a stern look in his eyes, something that was very unfamiliar to Arcee as she was used to his more childish mannerisms. She had never seen him mean business before.

"You're gonna get hurt!!" despite the jacket in his mouth, his words were at least understandable. Even with such a child-like voice, it was easy to tell how serious he was.

Arcee huffed, though, not entirely impressed. Surprised? Sure. But she wasn't about to let a small tapir monster tell her what to do.

"I'm not going to sit around and do nothing," Arcee sounds frustrated simply by just the idea of sitting this out, glaring at her little monster.

"No one's telling you to! We just gotta work together!" Tapirmon was frustrated, too, but for different reasons. He had no idea how to properly explain this to someone who has seen these kinds of battles before, and therefore someone who thought they knew more than he did. He's eaten her dreams before, even if he didn't mean to, he's seen some of the things she's been through. But during those times, she had-- Tapirmon's eyes grow wide, as if he finally figured it out. "What is your weapon?"

Arcee looks at him, raising an eyebrow.

"You don't have your weapons! This is different now!"

It was hard to admit, but Tapirmon had a point, she had no weapons. Arcee was very much used to them being built into her, and chances were if no one stopped her, she'd probably try--and fail--to bring out her blades or blaster. She'd question how Tapirmon even knew about her arsenal, but now wasn't the time.

"I'll find something--"

"I'm the something!" there was a fire in Tapirmon's eyes as he spoke. "I'm gonna be the weapon, just trust me!"

The surprise on Arcee's face was pretty evident, her eyes wide with the realization of what Tapirmon was telling her. A living weapon? Well, that was certainly one way of putting Digimon. Probably not one a lot would use on themselves, either. But if it made Arcee willingly work with him and keep her from charging off like a moron, Tapirmon would happily accept the title.

After a small pause and some thinking it over, Arcee nods her head.

"Show me what you got."

Delighted, Tapirmon lets go of Arcee's jacket and charges off, his partner following close behind. Running further into the city, Tapirmon doesn't think twice when he finally sees a FanBeemon low enough to ram his entire body into.

...Only to be completely ignored by it, bouncing back and landing onto the street.

"Oh Primus--", Arcee pinches the bridge of her nose, glad to see her 'weapon' is doing such a good job. Tapirmon shakes himself off and he wobbles back onto his feet, his enthusiasm not yet dwindling.

"No no, I got this!" he leaps into the air, which is soon followed by shouting. "Nightmare Syndrome!"

An eerie, almost cloud-like substance shoots from Tapirmon, surrounding the target FanBeemon and engulfing it. At first it didn't seem like anything was happening, and the cloud fades into nothing moments later. Arcee was ready to chalk this up as another bust, until the Digimon finally lets go of the building it was slowly going at and flies around in an erratic fashion.

As she watches it fly by, she can't help but question what just happened. Tapirmon seems to pick up on it and answers before she says anything.

"My attack makes people see their nightmares," he states this ever so matter-of-factly. "So right now that FanBeemon is seeing everything it fears."

"...Remind me not to make you angry," it's an impressive attack to Arcee, and if they can get all the beemon to start fleeing in terror, they could win this easy. Problem is, Tapirmon forgot to include how the hallucinations don't last forever.

Or long at all.

As the FanBeemon flew past them, its bizarre flying eventually causes it to crash into ground. The impact was just enough to snap it back into reality, and soon enough it's back on its feet, shaking off the rubble. With Arcee and Tapirmon distracted by their 'job well done', it takes to the sky and prepares its stinger, flying right for them.

The two of them spot the approaching threat at the same time, obviously shocked that it's back after them so suddenly. For something that was ignoring them moments ago, it certainly wasn't happy with them now.

Being the closest to the oncoming attack, Arcee, to her surprise, finds herself frozen in place. Without her blades or her guns, she wasn't really sure what she could do against a giant stinger. Her mind screams for her to duck, to move, to do ANYTHING, but she can't seem to bring herself to do it. Tapirmon watches, gasping.

"Arcee!!" his voice is filled with fear, but unlike his partner, that fear doesn't freeze him. No, instead it does the opposite, it fuels him. He's so scared to see her get hurt, especially after telling her she could count on him, but there was simply now way he was about to let her down. He charges full speed at the approaching enemy without a second thought.

And then, something overwhelms him. A bright white light covers his entire body as he runs for the FanBeemon, his figure growing in size as he gets closer. Soon, those small stumps are now making heavy, metallic hoofbeats as the tiny frame that was Tapirmon was replaced by the much larger Bullmon, who rams his entire body into that FanBeemon right before Arcee's eyes.

It was like slow motion as Arcee watched in pure shock as Bullmon tackled the FanBeemon with his armored body. Needless to say, the surprise impact sent the threat Digimon flying, but Bullmon doesn't seem to relax.

"...I..." Arcee didn't know what to say, this had to be some sort of joke. Horns. Tapirmon had horns. She'd make a bigger deal out of it, but she's suddenly interrupted.

"We'll talk later, that thing's gonna be back," his voice was much more deeper now, nowhere near Tapirmon's original, annoying, child-like babble. Seeing Arcee still stand there in her shock, he lowers himself a little for her. "Hop on."

"...No need to tell me twice," trying to shake herself back, Arcee climbs onto Bullmon, who hurries off once his partner is safely on his back. Like he predicted, it didn't take long for the FanBeemon to be back on their trail.

"I don't know why, but that guy is way stronger than he should be," he tries to lose it as he runs through the city, or at the very least get enough distance so they can prepare another attack. "We, uh, might need some help..."
