the city (open)
Who: The city!
What: Beemon Invasion
When: 24-26 of April 2013
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo
Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Beemon made their appearance. None of the various types of Beemon seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them the Beemon will attack.
They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. The FanBeemon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]
[[OOC:
So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will <b>not</b> have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective. Your character may get a few good whacks in on a rookie level Beemon, but that won't be so effective later.
NPC Chosen will also be out and around the areas to help you as needed, so you can tag them!
There's all sorts of Beemon to fight so pick and choose: FanBeemon, Flybeemon, HoneyBeemon, JewelBeemon, CannonBeemon, and DinoBeemon specifically will be most noticeable.
Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Beemon!]]
Tokyo Big Shot (Medics and Shelter)
Within the center it seems oddly peaceful in the city. The walls block out a lot of the sound of the fighting and incoming Digimon, but a glance outside might ruin any peaceable thoughts.
Luckily, at least, there seems to be plenty of food and water.]

This face? this is the face of experience and Hope knows how to keep cool under life-threatening pressure.
He and Renamon are currently doing a perimeter sweep around the center to make sure nothing is going to jump out and attack the others when they least expect it. And to check if there are any injured around who had collapsed before even getting to shelter.]

Sheltering all over the place!
She was not prepared for it. Not in the slightest. She didn't know how to fight, and she wasn't about to ask Hawkmon to do something like that on his own. However, she couldn't stand the thought of being idle while everyone else was out risking their lives to protect the city. So when the option to help with providing shelter for the residents of the city came up, she all but jumped on the opportunity to aid in some way.
During the attack, Marley bounces between handing out food and water, gathering blankets, or even sitting with some of the more scared residents and simply talking or singing to them. Hawkmon will never be far from her, making sure that Marley doesn't push herself too hard.

But along the way she had seen several of the partner-less Damemon, just as scared and helpless as she was. And she couldn't help it as she gathered several of them with her and Lopmon.
The convention center had been close by, so that's where she had brought all of them to hide during the attack.]

He's not judging, but worlds where running at monsters is a first instinct kind of baffle him. Then again, his solution was "sing the monsters into submission!" before he remembered that the laws of this universe rendered the Music inactive. There was nothing to rely on but himself. He sighs.

outside the shelter - all manner of beemon
[Xion's first thought was to take Patamon somewhere safe. She will not hesitate to fight; she will not hesitate to fight to protect someone. Putting her body on the line is something she is willing to do, but -- It wouldn't be her who is fighting. She wouldn't be the one putting herself in the line of danger for others. It would be Patamon. And she...
Xion knows it's hypocritical. And she knew Patamon was going to argue her on this decision. But Xion can't accept that. Not yet.
So, after an incident where Patamon almost flew off, Xion took off her Organization coat, managed to tackle the Digimon and wrap her in the coat. It was a struggle to drag Patamon to the shelter, but she pulled it off, thank goodness.
But the sight of the space around the shelter made them stop fighting with each other. The hostile Digimon are trying to attack it, too. And the people and Digimon who can't fight are staying there. Xion and Patamon stared at the scene for a moment, and then they didn't even have to exchange a glance that spoke without words. They just knew: Fighting is not an option.]
[Around the shelter, Xion and Patamon are taking on various Beemon. Xion is trying to pick out the Beemon one at a time, worried that Patamon won't be able to handle fighting more than one, but their goal is to keep them away from the shelter and away from those seeking it. So this will mean that they will end up fighting clusters and biting off more than they can chew.
This is their first time fighting together, after all.
They certainly wouldn't turn down help.]

He's not sure where he is or how he got here, but he seems to be okay. Other than the whole concussion thing. He doesn't really feel any different, though. That means the experiment didn't work or it's still in the process of taking effect. He's hopeful for the latter, but something in the back of his head is... less hopeful. Maybe he's just not meant to have his speed back.
When he tries to sit up, pain shoots down up his right arm and he winces, almost cursing out loud. Crap. It's broken. Guess the blast this time was a lot more forceful than it was last time. That was probably due to the makeshift nature of the experiment here, but now what is he supposed to do? He can't very well fight things off with a bat anymore if he's only got one good arm, and if he doesn't have his speed, it's going to make finding Elecmon a lot harder... and a lot more dangerous. He should probably at least formulate a plan, like how to get out of here.
Which... currently does not look like a possibility, considering who's in the bed next to him. He's going to have a difficult time sneaking past the Commander.]
Oh. Hey, Commander. Looks like we're in the same boat, huh.

Re: Tokyo Big Shot (Medics and Shelter)
Even if that meant heading back out into a swarm of Beemon with a broken arm and nothing to defend himself with.
It would've been a lot less dangerous with his speed, but either the experiment didn't work or it just hadn't kicked in yet. Either way, running around yelling "Elecmon!" at the top of his lungs until his voice went hoarse wasn't really helping make it any less dangerous, and only attracted more unwanted attention to himself.
It all happened so fast he doesn't even really know what happened, just that he thought he heard his name right before everything went really bright for a few seconds. He'd been knocked on the ground by one of the Beemon's attacks, eyes closed, arms raised defensively in anticipation of their next attack, when...
nothing happened. He opened his eyes to see his newly digivolved partner and blinked a few times. Somehow Elecmon had evolved into something completely ridiculous and lame—not to mention tiny—but he had saved him, somehow, so he got points for that.
"Do not fear, Wally, Thunderballmon is here!"
He had to resist the urge to facepalm. How did this happen to him. But at least the Beemon were gone, for now.
He doesn't make much of an effort to sneak back in to the med center, looking more embarrassed than exhausted by the time he makes it back to his bed, where he promptly collapses.]
Yell at me later, okay?
[To no one in particular, so feel free to jump in and berate him for being such a big dummy. He's likely got a bunch more wounds, but nothing too serious.]

Day 1 | A Squad of Flybeemon & possibly a JewelBeemon later on
Daisuke pulled out his D3. From here he could see the first signs of the advance squad of Beemon. It looked to be a swarm of angry red wasps from this distance but as they flew closer they grew in size. There were a lot of them and either they didn't see Daisuke standing on the roof with Veemon or they didn't care.]
All right Veemon let's do this! Digimental Up!
[Red light and fire enveloped the small blue creature. A few seconds later a larger, armored covered lizard stood in its place. Flamedramon, the fire of courage. Daisuke knew his speed and flames might be useful. ExVeemon was great, but he really wasn't quite as fast or nimble as Veemon's armor evolutions. But, it remained to be seen what kind of muscle they would need.]
Let's get their attention. Remember! We need to keep them away from the center of town.
Right. Flame Shot!
[Flamedramon collected fire in his claws and then shot it towards the first trio of Flybeemon. The Flybeemon...flew right through the flames. The trio then aimed their stingers at the buildings.]
Needle Stinger!
[Flamedramon's eyes widened. His attack hadn't even scratched them! He reacted to their attack though and brought a fire wall, literally, in front of him and Daisuke.]
Flame Shield!
Okay? Is it just me or are these guys stronger than they should be, Flamedramon?
no subject
The shouts and firebursts from above drew their attention skywards to that initial squadron of Beemon. Neither of them recognized Flamedramon, but Daisuke they did, and Keramon at least recognized an evolved Digimon when he saw one!
The jellyfish cackled delightedly. ]
Is it time to play soccer with the ruffians? Crazy Giggle!
[ Pow pow! From his mouth Keramon fired a pair of energy bursts that raced skyward, exploding with similar effect (which was to say, none) against the carapace of one of the Flybeemon.
Not that Keramon was dissuaded. ]

Day 1 | FanBeemon
[They had been waiting]
. . . Labramon.
Right! I'm ready! [The dog Digimon lowered her head and spread her paws out on either side, preparing herself to pounce as the wave of Beemon began to descend upon the city. This was her first real fight alongside her partner, and it wasn't difficult to tell from their previous interactions that Kirigiri didn't take her seriously. In fact, there was a small hint of disbelief in Kirigiri's eyes as she glanced down at Labramon, brows furrowed.]
[Well. . . if that's how things were, then it was time to prove her Chosen Child wrong.]
Then, I'll leave the rest up to you.
As you should!
[With that, the Digimon leaped into the fray, and not a moment too soon. . . a FanBeemon zoomed towards the meeting hall, stingers at the ready. Labramon affixed her gaze on the creature's approach, and she opened her mouth wide, preparing her attack, which she unleashed on the approaching FanBeemon in an attempt to send it careening off course]
-- Retribark!
[As Labramon fought, Kirigiri's hand idly drifted to the Digivice at her waist, fingers closing around it tightly. It was a Trial by Fire for both of them, but. . . it was time to see how well this partnership would actually work.]

Looks like you two could use some help out here. [And they're not waiting for an answer- instead Gaomon goes rushing in to attack the FanBeemon with a barrage of punches.]
It's too bad I can't join her out there.

Day 1 | Dark Digivolution, otherwise known as Forte Makes Everything Worse.
It wasn't long before Forte encountered the oncoming Digimon, which were already attacking some of the buildings. They didn't look so tough! It'd be like fighting junk sentry bots! He'd been programmed with hand-to-hand combat knowledge; even like this he could take these things! Forte grit his teeth, balled his hands into fists, then with a frustrated yell lunged at a nearby Fanbeemon, landing a punch squarely on its carapace.
His hand stung, and the Digimon didn't so much as flinch. In fact, it completely ignored the attack, continuing to chip at the wall with its claws.
Forte boiled.
"Don't you DARE ignore me, you stupid bug!"
A second punch, and another, and shit it was like trying to punch through steel with only a ham. His hands shook as he pulled back from the last attempt, and forcing his fingers to uncurl hurt more than the blows had.
The Fanbeemon had noticed him now. It stopped what it was doing, turned towards him, and readied its stinger. Before Forte could react, however, something purple and white zoomed past him, slamming into the Fanbeemon and knocking it off balance.
For a split second, he thought it was Gospel. When the blur resolved into Tsukaimon instead - of course, that pathetic excuse for a stand-in...! - something in him just snapped.
"No." He didn't understand anything. Why he was here, why he had to be reduced to this state, why this... THING had to replace Gospel, why his eyes stung now too. Who the hell was he supposed to be without the ability to fight? "NO! Go AWAY! I'm NOT relying on you!!"
"I'm the one who's relying on YOU, ya moron!" Tsukaimon shot back, shoving his face into Forte's. His usual mocking tone had dropped, leaving raw, brutal agitation in its place. "I'm sick an' tired of your stubborn-ass whining, and if you don't get your act together and TRUST me just a little freaking bit-!"
"I said NO!" Forte shoved Tsukaimon hard, causing the Digimon to go tumbling out of the air and skid across the ground. "T-this is all your stupid fault anyway! YOU pulled me here and took Gospel's place! YOU made me like... like this! You and your stupid world!"
He was screaming now, and his vision was blurring, but he didn't even care. Tsukaimon stared up at him, startled, not noticing the Fanbeemon getting back up and rising into the air.
"YOU'RE supposed to be the incarnation of my strength here!? HA! You're useless! You're useless and I'm useless, and I'm supposed to be the strongest there is! That's all I want, so just... stop, stop being useless already!"
Anything Tsukaimon was about to say died in his throat as a strange energy filled the air. Forte's Digivice, shoved deep into his pocket and forgotten, glowed and crackled with an ominous violet. Tsukaimon thought, very clearly, this feels wrong, and then he stopped thinking altogether as the energy enveloped him.
Forte stepped back, rubbing at his cheek with his sleeve and staring blankly as Tsukaimon changed, glowing darkly and shifting into something altogether different. When the light faded, instead there stood a huge dragonlike creature, half beast and half machine, its eyes glowing and unreadable.
DexDorugamon shrieked and turned on the first thing to move in a flash, crushing the Fanbeemon under its claws and holding the struggling Digimon in place as it repeatedly fired cannonballs into it. It didn't stop until its prey had disintegrated into data.
"H-heh..." Was that the fabled digivolution? He was definitely stronger... "I guess that's not ba-" But then DexDorugamon whirled, slamming its tail through the side of a building as it unmistakably aimed for Forte. He ducked instinctively, but couldn't evade the entire attack and was slammed back against the side of the building across the street.
"What the-!? The hell are you attacking ME-" The pain hit, and he coughed wetly, tasting something coppery in his mouth. Forte's eyes widened as he realized... that attack had been with intent to kill. If he hadn't dodged the brunt of it...
no subject
The light- visible darkness? Future research material caught her attention as Tsukaimon evolved, though, and when that happened... Danger, what danger, this was interesting. Or it was, until the monster kicked the shit out of what appeared to be its own partner, taking out a wall to do it. This was bad.
With the wall that DexDorugamon tore through gone, Alex was standing in the open, but she tried to back away carefully. Maybe, she hoped, it hadn't noticed her. She could study it from a distance.]

Day 1, before Forte's dark digivolution, closed to Neku (and other people if we plot you in)
[But the buzzing it certainly reminding her of it, and her heart is beating hard. Her hands are sweaty on her gun, which is useless useless useless, except for a goddamn knife strapped to the end of it, and that's her only weapon. She's got no biotics, no backup, a building full of children to protect, and nothing but a bayonet fashioned out of a shotgun to fight insects the size of pigs.]
[She puts on what armor she has and goes out anyways, pushing away the fear like she always does when the grim reaper's breathing down her neck. It's surprisingly easy to trust Monodramon with watching her back, and she heads down the street away from her apartment with him in tow.]
[She has intent to get to whatever she recognizes as the front lines, but it's not hard to get distracted when she catches sight of an actual thick swarm of the things. It takes only a second to realize there are people in there.]
[Charging in head first has always been her specialty. She just hopes Monodramon can keep up.]

But in the UG he had been... Almost outside of time. Less prone to getting tired. Not having to deal with injuries between fights. None of the Beemon were wreaking him... But he was breaking a little each win. A literal death of a thousand cuts. It hadn't helped he was one of the first newbs to manage to evovle their partner... And as such had thrown himself into the thick. His normally spikey hair was plastered down with sweat and blood, but his blue eyes were still blazing as he followed BlackGatomon from foe to foe.
But it is not going well, and with one misstep Gatomon is smacked sraight into him, sending them both tumbling and open to half a dozen stingers]

day 1 i guess
As the Beemon swarm approached, Zack grinned, swinging his makeshift sword around a few times and rolling his shoulders,
"You ready, partner?"
Dorumon nodded, "Of course. But you do realise you won't be able to do much with... that, right?"
Zack shrugged, still grinning as he shifted into a proper fighting stance, metal pipe gripped firmly in both hands, "Doesn't mean I can't try. There's people counting on us back there, you know." someone seemed way too excited about the potential threat coming closer to them. And it was only when he actually saw how many there were that Zack seemed to hesitate -- but only for the briefest of moments.
"Geez, a hero's work really is never done, huh?" he commented before Dorumon could even get a word in, "Let's go!" and with that he charged off, his partner running at his side as he went straight for the oncoming beemon. As one would expect, swinging a large metal pipe at them did pretty much nothing. He managed to knock one back, only to have a couple more fly at him. Every time he fell, though, he would get back up, bruised and bloody and determined as ever. It was almost like fighting that army again, only this time he was really really glad for the backup.
One of the larger Beemon dealt a good blow to the former SOLDIER's head, knocking him to the ground once more. Maybe it was the way he landed, the pained groan that followed or the beads of sweat and blood dripping down his face that caused Dorumon to panic. He didn't know, but something set him off and soon enough both Zack and the enemy digimon were momentarily blinded by the bright light around Dorumon, and when it dissipated, a larger, winged Dorugamon stood in his place.
"Wha--" Zack, bleary-eyed and confused looked on in awe as his partner continued to fight, hovering over Zack as he did so. Did he just shoot a cannonball out of his mouth? God, that was so cool. "Whoa." eloquent.
"Zack!"
"Ah... right!" despite the head wound, a the cuts and bruises and everything else, Zack jumped back up to his feet, still with that dumb pipe in his hands, even if he knew it would do next to nothing, "I owe you one, pal."
"I'll start a tab for you."
hi i'm late hope it's okay to tag in still
Falcomon leaped over a mound of rubble and landed nimbly beside Zack. One wing-claw gripped the wrist of his partner Jamie, whom the digimon had been literally dragging across the city in search of something to fight and who landed much less gracefully than Falcomon. Namely, on his face.
Falcomon seemed unbothered by this, striking a battle-ready stance as he faced the enemy digimon still swarming toward them. "Stand back, my friends!" he intoned to Zack and Dorugamon. "My partner and I are prepared to unleash all our fury upon these uncivilized beasts, and I do not wish for you to be within range when my full power manifests! OUR MIGHT SHALL BE THE STUFF OF LEGENDS! FALCO RUSH!" The little digimon threw himself at one of the nearest Beemon, kicking it in the face once, then twice, and then tried for a third strike.
Jamie, meanwhile, had climbed somewhat woozily to his feet and was now staring in undisguised horror at the swarming enemy. Despite his fear, he was also gripping a length of pipe, which he attempted to wield as an improvised weapon. "I've, uh, I've never done this before so I can't really make any guarantees about how much help I'll be," he stammered at Zack, never taking his eyes off the Beemon. This looked impossible. He had no idea what he was doing. He was going to die.
He winced as the Beemon shook off Falcomon, who screeched indignantly and leapt back into the fray. "Also, I'm pretty sure he's insane."

Day 1 || FanBeemon
To make up for it, Arcee spent the majority of her mornings working out, in hopes to improve this human body the Digital World gave to her. Unfortunately, not knowing how human bodies work often caused her to overdo it, making naps frequent. Her diet was also not very ideal, but what does she know about nutrition? Nothing, that's what. Either way, whatever Arcee believed her body to be at was definitely not where it was in reality, and it certainly wasn't strong enough for her to take on some Digimon alone.
That...did not stop her from running into the city ready for a fight.
It's sad, but a part of Arcee was actually looking forward to the invasion. A very small part. No, she'd never wish for one, and the danger it put people in would never make her jump for joy. It was just, with how out of place she felt in this city, the idea of a large brawl made her feel almost normal again. Not to mention, with the way some of these beemon looked, she might as well be fighting Insecticons just like how she used to. It felt like a way to prove herself, that she could overcome the very thing that is humanity.
But before her feet could even touch the streets and things could go horribly wrong, she's stopped by a small tug on her jacket.
Tapirmon had grabbed it by his mouth, dragging it down to lower Arcee slightly, and then firmly plant his feet onto the pavement. There was a stern look in his eyes, something that was very unfamiliar to Arcee as she was used to his more childish mannerisms. She had never seen him mean business before.
"You're gonna get hurt!!" despite the jacket in his mouth, his words were at least understandable. Even with such a child-like voice, it was easy to tell how serious he was.
Arcee huffed, though, not entirely impressed. Surprised? Sure. But she wasn't about to let a small tapir monster tell her what to do.
"I'm not going to sit around and do nothing," Arcee sounds frustrated simply by just the idea of sitting this out, glaring at her little monster.
"No one's telling you to! We just gotta work together!" Tapirmon was frustrated, too, but for different reasons. He had no idea how to properly explain this to someone who has seen these kinds of battles before, and therefore someone who thought they knew more than he did. He's eaten her dreams before, even if he didn't mean to, he's seen some of the things she's been through. But during those times, she had-- Tapirmon's eyes grow wide, as if he finally figured it out. "What is your weapon?"
Arcee looks at him, raising an eyebrow.
"You don't have your weapons! This is different now!"
It was hard to admit, but Tapirmon had a point, she had no weapons. Arcee was very much used to them being built into her, and chances were if no one stopped her, she'd probably try--and fail--to bring out her blades or blaster. She'd question how Tapirmon even knew about her arsenal, but now wasn't the time.
"I'll find something--"
"I'm the something!" there was a fire in Tapirmon's eyes as he spoke. "I'm gonna be the weapon, just trust me!"
The surprise on Arcee's face was pretty evident, her eyes wide with the realization of what Tapirmon was telling her. A living weapon? Well, that was certainly one way of putting Digimon. Probably not one a lot would use on themselves, either. But if it made Arcee willingly work with him and keep her from charging off like a moron, Tapirmon would happily accept the title.
After a small pause and some thinking it over, Arcee nods her head.
"Show me what you got."
Delighted, Tapirmon lets go of Arcee's jacket and charges off, his partner following close behind. Running further into the city, Tapirmon doesn't think twice when he finally sees a FanBeemon low enough to ram his entire body into.
...Only to be completely ignored by it, bouncing back and landing onto the street.
"Oh Primus--", Arcee pinches the bridge of her nose, glad to see her 'weapon' is doing such a good job. Tapirmon shakes himself off and he wobbles back onto his feet, his enthusiasm not yet dwindling.
"No no, I got this!" he leaps into the air, which is soon followed by shouting. "Nightmare Syndrome!"
An eerie, almost cloud-like substance shoots from Tapirmon, surrounding the target FanBeemon and engulfing it. At first it didn't seem like anything was happening, and the cloud fades into nothing moments later. Arcee was ready to chalk this up as another bust, until the Digimon finally lets go of the building it was slowly going at and flies around in an erratic fashion.
As she watches it fly by, she can't help but question what just happened. Tapirmon seems to pick up on it and answers before she says anything.
"My attack makes people see their nightmares," he states this ever so matter-of-factly. "So right now that FanBeemon is seeing everything it fears."
"...Remind me not to make you angry," it's an impressive attack to Arcee, and if they can get all the beemon to start fleeing in terror, they could win this easy. Problem is, Tapirmon forgot to include how the hallucinations don't last forever.
Or long at all.
As the FanBeemon flew past them, its bizarre flying eventually causes it to crash into ground. The impact was just enough to snap it back into reality, and soon enough it's back on its feet, shaking off the rubble. With Arcee and Tapirmon distracted by their 'job well done', it takes to the sky and prepares its stinger, flying right for them.
The two of them spot the approaching threat at the same time, obviously shocked that it's back after them so suddenly. For something that was ignoring them moments ago, it certainly wasn't happy with them now.
Being the closest to the oncoming attack, Arcee, to her surprise, finds herself frozen in place. Without her blades or her guns, she wasn't really sure what she could do against a giant stinger. Her mind screams for her to duck, to move, to do ANYTHING, but she can't seem to bring herself to do it. Tapirmon watches, gasping.
"Arcee!!" his voice is filled with fear, but unlike his partner, that fear doesn't freeze him. No, instead it does the opposite, it fuels him. He's so scared to see her get hurt, especially after telling her she could count on him, but there was simply now way he was about to let her down. He charges full speed at the approaching enemy without a second thought.
And then, something overwhelms him. A bright white light covers his entire body as he runs for the FanBeemon, his figure growing in size as he gets closer. Soon, those small stumps are now making heavy, metallic hoofbeats as the tiny frame that was Tapirmon was replaced by the much larger Bullmon, who rams his entire body into that FanBeemon right before Arcee's eyes.
It was like slow motion as Arcee watched in pure shock as Bullmon tackled the FanBeemon with his armored body. Needless to say, the surprise impact sent the threat Digimon flying, but Bullmon doesn't seem to relax.
"...I..." Arcee didn't know what to say, this had to be some sort of joke. Horns. Tapirmon had horns. She'd make a bigger deal out of it, but she's suddenly interrupted.
"We'll talk later, that thing's gonna be back," his voice was much more deeper now, nowhere near Tapirmon's original, annoying, child-like babble. Seeing Arcee still stand there in her shock, he lowers himself a little for her. "Hop on."
"...No need to tell me twice," trying to shake herself back, Arcee climbs onto Bullmon, who hurries off once his partner is safely on his back. Like he predicted, it didn't take long for the FanBeemon to be back on their trail.
"I don't know why, but that guy is way stronger than he should be," he tries to lose it as he runs through the city, or at the very least get enough distance so they can prepare another attack. "We, uh, might need some help..."
Re: Day 1 || FanBeemon
A yell of panic could be heard further down the street as changeling went scrambling by. He was wrapped in some improvised armor and being chased by a small trio of Fanbeemon who were stinging at him whenever they got close enough.
The green teen was flailing a pair of table leg clubs but they did nothing to deter his attackers.

Day 1...someone should probably help him
Without his shapeshifting powers he was starting to feel particularly small looking up at the various Digimon swooping through the air attacking the city and it's residents.
"Dude...not cool."
Taking a deep breath he stepped out of the shadows into the middle of the street and shouted as loud as his scratchy developing voice could reach.
"HEY BUG BUTT! WHY DON'T YOU PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE?"
He had a pot on his head as helmet, and pillows tied on for shoulder pads. On his front he wore the lid of a trash can as a chest plate and in each hand he held what looked to be table legs that he had re-purposed as clubs.
The attacking Digimon...promptly ignored him.
"HEY! HEY DON'T DO THAT!" He shouted jumping up and down and flailing his table legs. He ran after the nearest Digimon who was harassing a retreating Palmon.
"BANZAI!" He roared springing at the Fanbeemon who promptly zipped out of the way leaving Changeling to land flat on his face in the middle of the road.
To add insult to injury some more Digimon who had been fleeing the attack trampled over the would-be hero in their escape leaving him flattened into the pavement with footprints all along his back.
"Ow...ow...ow..." He mumbled into the ground.
Re: Day 1...someone should probably help him
Kirigiri never did receive the memo about Changeling's changed name, but that hardly mattered at the moment, not as she rushed up to his side and crouched next to him, reaching out to take him by the shoulder and help him back to his feet. Behind her, Labarmon followed, tongue lolling out of her mouth as she panted for breath. Her fur was ruffled with signs of a battle, scrapes and other injuries lining her body here and there. She was clearly exhausted from her scuffles with the attacking FanBeemon.
"Are you all right?" the detective asked, as her Digimon surveyed the area to make sure no more Beemon were approaching, "These enemies are tough. They don't go down easily. Labramon and I have been having a difficult time defeating any of them on our own."
"Heads up!" Labramon called, hackles raising, "T-there are more coming this way!"

Day 1 | Various Beemon
They wasted no time. ShineGreymon targeted the highest evolved of the Beemon, tackling two CannonBeemon from the sky as Masaru held on as tightly as he could. The two expected the Insect digimon to be deleted by the sheer force of the blow, but they found the pair of them to be more durable than they expected. As the three digimon crashed into the ground, Masaru leapt from his partner's shoulder, and landed on his feet.
"ShineGreymon!" he cried out. "If you can't take them out, hold them back! Draw as many of them as you can towards you, and keep them off everyone else!"
"Right, aniki...! GLORIOUS BURST!" ShineGreymon cried, as light again flared from his wings. It focused and created a massive ball of fire, which ShineGreymon then fired off... just as the CannonBeemon focused on their new target by unleashing a barrage from their "Nitro Stingers."
The three attacks met in mid-air and exploded, creating a shockwave in all directions... it was all Masaru could do to remain standing on his feet.

So he's got his trusty baseball bat (that he may or may not have stolen from the elementary school), swinging at Beemon like baseballs left and right. It's at least keeping them away from him for the time being, though it's not doing any real damage. He's going to wear himself out eventually, if he doesn't get hit first.
He's glad his reflexes are still at least fairly decent, just a bit more delayed than they would be with his powers, but he can tell his stamina isn't really going to hold up much longer.
Unless...
There is one thing he could do. With all this commotion, he could grab some detergent from a nearby store (while obviously leaving an IOU), and boom. Powers.
Then again, he's not entirely sure if it'll be instant in the Digital World or if he'd have to wait a few weeks like he originally did, but maybe since his body has already been acclimated to superspeed once, it won't take so long this time. He doesn't really care what the probability of that is, nor does he have time to care. If he's going to do this, he needs to do it now. Besides, maybe the experiment is really only necessary to rewrite his code or something, like, the explosion triggers some sort of... thing to get rid of whatever wall was blocking his powers in the first place. If only Rob were—
No, he's not going to think about Rob right now. That's only going to make him start to second guess himself and reconsider. Like, maybe finding his Digimon should be a higher priority than blowing himself up again. But the city is huge, inner Robin, and—no! He doesn't have time for this. He's going to finish the experiment because he needs to. The Digital World needs Kid Flash right now, not this lame kid whose Digimon abandoned him.
He runs as fast as he can back to the elementary school, lungs burning by the time he gets there. He's still not used to running like a normal person, and now he won't have to. Everything is in order, he can do this, he—
