the city (open)
Who: The city!
What: Beemon Invasion
When: 24-26 of April 2013
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo
Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Beemon made their appearance. None of the various types of Beemon seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them the Beemon will attack.
They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. The FanBeemon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]
[[OOC:
So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective. Your character may get a few good whacks in on a rookie level Beemon, but that won't be so effective later.
NPC Chosen will also be out and around the areas to help you as needed, so you can tag them!
There's all sorts of Beemon to fight so pick and choose: FanBeemon, Flybeemon, HoneyBeemon, JewelBeemon, CannonBeemon, and DinoBeemon specifically will be most noticeable.
Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Beemon!]]

[Tailmon's eyes began to emit a strange wave as she jumped into the air again, this time trying to make eye contact with Forte. Her goal, of course, was to make him hold still so she could kill his Digivice or just gut him.]

He fights it with every ounce of his willpower. If there's one thing he hates (that isn't named Megaman), it's being controlled - but his efforts are like pounding on a steel door, what with how emotionally exhausted he already is. He grits his teeth as he realizes this, but refuses to give up fighting back anyway. Tailmon can hold him still, but it might be some effort to keep the effect up.
The blindingly bright arrows are enough to stop DexDorugamon in its tracks as they hammer into it. The corrupt Digimon screeches in genuine pain this time, smoke rising from its body and sparks crackling along its form. There's clear damage to some of its cybernetic parts now, but it seems just as stubborn as Forte is, forcing itself to take another step forward and prepare to fire another cannonball or two at Seasarmon even as the light arrows are still raining down. The charge-up time is much longer now though - grinding, whirring, and sparking around its jaw betray a malfunction in its ability to fire properly.
The first attack flies wide, completely off-target. It takes a hit to the wings, an arrow blowing a hole straight through one of them to reveal a mess of metal and wire and what might at one point have been flesh. Another frenzied roar fills the air, and it readies another blast.]

[Cam can't focus on anything except the metallic dinosaur in front of them, digging his legs more into Seasarmon's side so he doesn't fall off her.
Seems Seasarmon has the same idea.] Hold on tight. [She crouches low and leaps, using that as her way of running to avoid the oncoming cannonball. She tries going in a circle around DexDorugamon, in order to confuse him.
Near her ear, Cam murmurs, watching DexDorugamon as she splits her attention between running and fighting.] Don't let up.
[She nods best she can.] Holy Cannon! [Similar to the arrows of light but with only one blast this time, Seasarmon turns her head and fires a high-speed light blast from her mouth, aiming at DexDorugamon's open maw.]

Come on--!!
[She digs her nails into Strikedramon's arm as Seasarmon's attack rushes at the enemy.]
no subject
Fortunately, that's what Alex is here for.]
Will one of you bloody idiotic assholes listen to me or do you all want to die?!

It's still moving, though. A low, pained growl starts as it twitches and tries to get back up, only to slump down again. The only reason it's still not reverting is because Forte, not understanding the way he's affecting his Digimon, is pouring so much sheer willpower into their link and his furious upset with the entire situation.
DexDorugamon's eyes glow red, filling with more frenzy than ever. Its wounds spark and crackle again, and it no longer tries to get up, but it does open its mouth - if it fires like this, it may blow up the entire area. The energy buildup is incredibly slow this time, but it would rather take everything around it out in a blaze of glory than do nothing.]

[the words come just before a new figure enters the fray... a brown-haired young man who just charges right out, towards Forte, and... slugging the former robot across the face, before grabbing to pull the digivice out of his hands]
Your partner is rampaging because of you! You think you can just let that happen?! WHAT KIND OF PARTNER ARE YOU?!
no subject
[Seasarmon is going to tell Cam that from the looks of that attack, firing at its mouth again will not go well. She's going to tell him that they need to find another strategy-- but this is before Masaru shows up.
At his sudden arrival, both Digimon and Chosen turn their attention to him.]
H-huh, what's...?
[He doesn't have much time to think because Seasarmon's body shakes.] Campbell, I'm going to attack again. [As not to surprise him. Right, right, more attacks, at least keep it busy, right. Cam pats her side, his way of saying he understands.] Energy Ray! [It's smaller than the Holy Cannon, but she darts around DexDorugamon, firing off small energy blasts.]
no subject
[Yeah, she just stares.]

Of course, this breaks Tailmon's concentration, but what she needed was done anyway, so she falls back to try to pull the wall off of Alex's arm.]

The pain and the words hit at about the same time a few seconds later, and his face twists back into anger. He doesn't even realize that Masaru has grabbed his Digivice, he just shouts back.]
The... the hell do you mean because of ME!? I didn't DO anything; he just went crazy! And don't you DARE talk to me about PARTNERS! I NEVER ASKED TO HAVE MINE REPLACED BY THIS THING!!
[Meanwhile, Seasarmon's attacks are doing a good job of delaying DexDorugamon's last-ditch blast. It tries to swipe at her with its claws as she passes, but it's in no condition or position to get in a good hit.]
no subject
DON'T YOU GET IT?! THEY GET THEIR POWER FROM US! OUR FEELINGS! OUR EMOTIONS!
YOU TURNED YOUR PARTNER INTO THIS!
no subject
WHY SHOULD I FUCKING CARE?! I can't FIGHT anymore, and these monsters are USELESS! DOESN'T THIS WHOLE STUPID THING JUST PROVE THAT!? I'm... I'm the STRONGEST, understand?!
[He's half rambling, and the end of that last statement dissolves into a coughing fit. All the yelling really isn't helping his aching chest.]

[Masaru snarled and grabbed at Forte's shirt collar, pulling him closer so they were face-to-face]
THERE IS NOTHING STRONG ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Strength is admitting when you've made a mistake! Strength is having the courage to keep going and improve!
[there was a look in Masaru's eyes that went beyond anger]
I've been there! I forced my partner to evolve in anger! I turned him into something uncontrollable and twisted, and I nearly lost him forever because of it! I WAS DAMN LUCKY I HAD A SECOND CHANCE, AND NOW YOU... YOUR PARTNER IS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF YOUR SELFISHNESS!
The fact that this is even happening, and you won't even admit it's your fault?!
PROVES JUST HOW WEAK YOU ARE!

He'd never forgive himself if he let something like this happen to Gospel. He'd convinced himself so thoroughly that Tsukaimon was this world's pathetic attempt to replace his real partner, a fraud, a phony, a cheap knock-off. The worst insult to the only robot he truly considered his brother and friend that he could imagine. But for an instant, those words let doubt into his mind, and it sent cracks running all through that conviction he'd forged in his anger...
Being called weak like that shattered it.
He choked, almost falling over as his legs refused to work quite right, and grabbed at Masaru's wrists.]
I-I didn't... I'm not...
[But the look on his face is enough to see that it's hit home. Forte's digivice hums, the sickening purple energy around it slowly dissipating as it's replaced by a softer teal. Behind him, DexDorugamon screams in pain as the last of Seasarmon's attacks hits, and the sound causes Forte to flinch.
The Digimon begins to glow, the dark energy leaving it, and shrink.]

[As DexDorugamon shrinks, Seasarmon stops attacking, abrupt. She stops running too...and Cam all but collapses against her neck, with a sigh of relief. He rubs her side and closes his eyes; yes, there's still an attack going on, but this is one crisis averted.]
Thank goodness...
Campbell. [Seasarmon shifts and he opens his eyes.] ...You can stay there. [As she walks back over to Strikedramon, Cam doesn't say how grateful he is; he's pretty sure his legs have given out, anyway.]

I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you all do remember that this arsemuncher wasn't actually the problem in the first place, right? We've still got a swarm of demon killer bees around, and the only one of us in any condition to get to the shelters is the punchy bloke.
On that note, someone give me your shirt.
