Olympic Contact

Who: Minervamon, and you
What: A visitor, with something to say
Where: HospiTown
When: January 15th and 16th, 2013

Around noon, a figure walks into HospiTown. She is short, probably the size of some of the younger kids, and she carries a sword.

Rather, the sword drags on the ground, as she walks with grunts and injuries. When she reaches the Hospital's doors, she drops it, and she half-sits, half-leans against the building. An Agumon approaches her, one who works there, with shock and gasps.

"Don't be surprised," says the Digimon, Minervamon. "I'm not gonna cause any trouble. Could you tell the Chosen I'm here to talk? I owe them that much, and, well. I'd rather not barge into your fine establishment."

She grins weakly, and the Agumon, in a daze, rushes inside. Moments later, an announcement goes throughout the Hospital, via a PA system: You've got a visitor, and it's a God! She's here to talk, Minervamon's here to talk!

She chuckles. Well, that'll get some of them out, but maybe with more of a fuss than she wanted...

Oh it's fine, I have more than one deck and it'd be nice to spread it around here. That's the one I started out with myself...so yeah, it is pretty special; take good care of 'em, alright?

[He chuckled and pulled out his current deck in case Minervamon decided to take him up on his offer; he shuffled through his cards idly with a nostalgic smile on his face. He'd constructed this particular deck in his time in Esthar...maybe it was why he had commissioned Squall to be the mainstay card in his deck, but that was for him to know.]

[Now that was what Laguna wanted to hear. Laguna shuffled through his deck for a basic card and eventually settled on Mesmerize, a fairly basic beginners card. He placed it down on the table face up for Minervamon to see and began his explanation.]

That's the spirit! It's not complicated at all once you get into it; the ultimate goal of Triple Triad is to have as many cards on the field belonging to you by the end of the match. How you start is you shuffle your deck and draw 5 cards from the top, and then you flip a coin to decide who goes first; when that's decided you place a card like this on a 3 by 3 grid and you see those numbers?

[He pointed to the small diamond of numbers towards the top of the card as he drew another card, this time a T-rexaur and placed it next to the Mesmerize.]

You see how the first card's right number is 3 and the second card's left number is 7? That means the second card is stronger than the first, and then you simply put a red or blue token on it to indicate that it's your card now. From there, you keep putting cards down until the board is full, and then you tally up the cards; winner gets to pick a card from the loser's hand unless you're playing by friendly rules, and then you can play again! Did that sound simple enough?
