It took a pretty good while to drag Kovu out of the room, even after all the other people coming to talk to him. He's in a better mood now than before, but wow this is one stubborn lion. How's anyone supposed to get him to do anything? Whatever, at least Strabimon's not around. He...actually hasn't been back since he walked out when then were talking with Fluttershy, but that doesn't make much difference. Chances are he's just napping somewhere random, or punching a tree or something. He does that.

Either way, at least Lopmon finally got Kovu out of the room to go meet Chris. It was like pulling fangs from a lion's mouth, but it could've been worse. Not like he lost a limb or anything...

At the very least Kovu could look a little less bored though, right?

Having promised to visit the former lion later and after looking through the directory, he'd gone looking for Kovu at his room first. However, it seemed like Kovu had gone out...which was honestly encouraging so far as he was concerned.

Although, heading down to the cafeteria to get something to eat, he was pleasantly surprised to find Kovu there instead, detouring his route to come over and greet him.

"Oho, hey, Kovu! Hi Lopmon! I've been looking for ya!"

"...You looked shorter on the D-Terminal. And what happened with your mane?"

Lopmon looks over at his partner, surprised that Kovu actually made a joke. And that was definitely a joke, Kovu knows who Martin is.

That gives him pause a minute, one eyebrow raising, before suddenly something clicks. Both what Kovu's talking about and the fact that he's actually joking.

Naturally, that gets a laugh out of him.

"Hah, oh, guess I must've hit a really late growth spurt."

He tugs on the end of a lock of his bangs.

"Decided to go blond. It's the new brunette. H'but I still can't decide if I like my hair up or down."

As if to make a point, while he's talking, he starts flipping his bangs with a hand so that they stand up straight and then lay flat again.

"Which looks better? Up? Down? Up? Down?"

He pauses after flipping his bangs back up one more time, glancing over his shoulder with a slightly too wide smile at the sound of somebody else arriving.

"What d'you think, Bro?"

"I'd keep 'em down, muttonhead." Chris came around over to them, having just entered the cafeteria. Kovu was easy to pick out, but Martin was a little bit of a surprise. Still though, he stopped beside him and nudged him lightly, giving him a wry smirk.

"I think I've got the bangs-up market cornered." Well, it's more the 'hair goes every which way so I leave it like that' market, but who was counting. With a laugh in his voice Chris turned, addressing the lion.

"Kovu, hey there."

Martin's antics nearly get a smile - a real one - out of the lion, but by the end of them Kovu frowns, getting a bit annoyed. Chris brings a breath of fresh air.

But now that the chance for joking is gone, Kovu's enthusiasm seems to fall away when he greets the younger brother. "Hey." He doesn't sound annoyed, or upset, just...disinterested. Like he'd rather be up in his room.

He rolled his eyes, not quite being able to help a momentary brightening of his grin at the nudge as he flattened his bangs back down.

Kovu's tone made him raise an eyebrow though, expression softening a bit as he leaned against a table.

"H'so...how are you doing, Kovu? ...Kinda been awhile..."

When had he last talked to Kovu? A month ago? ...Two months ago? ...Might have been longer...oops.

He doesn't even have to ask to know why Chris is here. If Chris saw the same ad from Lopmon that he did, it's no surprise at all. And not that Lopmon hadn't filled him in fairly well on how Kovu was doing already, but it felt appropriate to ask the guy himself.

Kovu glances to Lopmon like he's trying to get an answer out of him, but the Digimon just shrugs.

"I..." He trails off, and sighs, looking at Lopmon again. He narrows his eyes at a second shrug from the Digimon, then looks back at Martin. "I'm..."

He shakes his head. He doesn't even know what to say. Nala never made it to HospiTown, Squall left right after, and on top of that...

"I feel like I got trampled by an elephant." These guys know what a lion is, so they should know elephants too, right? Of course, Lopmon's looking at him without a single clue...
