The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.

Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

Well, unlike Gaomon, Gomamon didn't hesitate to tell Hiccup just how looong he'd been waiting to meet him, and how utterly boring it had been besides. In fact, the little Digimon hadn't stopped talking since they met up. So at this point, Hiccup has just taken to letting Gomamon ride on his shoulders so he can babble in his ear to his heart's content. For now.

Plus, he didn't seem like the type of Digimon that could get around very well just by walking.

As Hiccup passes by, he slows down for just a moment to observe Gaomon. He can't help but be fascinated by all of these new and strange creatures he's seeing. Then he glances at Gomamon out of the corner of his eye with a small smile, "Almost wish you had legs like that, so I wouldn't have to carry you everywhere."

The Digimon gasped before letting out an indignant snort, "Hey hey hey! You watch it, just because I can't walk as good as the others doesn't make me any less of a Digimon! You should see me in the water!"

Hiccup just chuckles, "Kidding, I'm kidding."

Gaomon laughs, "Yes, of course. Certain Digimon are far better on land than water. For example, my beautiful self would much rather stay on land than anywhere in the water."

"Ooh, really? Does that mean you'd drown in the water."

"Of course not! I simply dislike water."

"Good, I don't have a curse that could bring you back." He's tried to bring animals back from death before... there simply wasn't a single curse, hex, or spell that would actually work.

Gomamon makes a bit of a face at that, "Just like I'd prefer to be in the water than on land. Some things are easier for others though, aren't they? Unfortunately I wasn't blessed with such beautiful legs."

Gomamon's tone is clearly sarcastic, and it causes Hiccup to glance at him out of the corner of his eye, "Hey, be nice." Hiccup didn't really fancy making enemies this early in the game, but Gomamon just doesn't seem to care and pokes Hiccup's face a little with a claw. "Ah-aww lighten up. It's gonna be really boring if you're a stick in the mud all the time."

Gaomon just continues to look smug. "Yes, you were blessed with wonderful fins. Truly, the water is where you shine." She completely ignores the sarcastic tone.

Henry for his part, just smiles and takes it in. "Everybody's got strengths and weaknesses. I'll just make sure you don't end up in the water."

Gomamon was preparing himself for a zinger of a comeback, but pauses when Gaomon just compliments him. So instead he lifts his head with a bright smile, nodding, "Y...yeah! Wonderful fins, y'got that right!"

Hiccup shakes his head a little, looking down at Gaomon. "Careful, don't want to swell his head any bigger than it already is." He's ready for it and jerks away before Gomamon can prod his face with a claw, so instead the Digimon tightens his grip around Hiccup's neck to retort.

"A-anyway....my name's Hiccup, and you've met Gomamon."

She finds insults far below her station. "I most certainly do." Of course she's not above having her ego stroked.

Henry looks, well, like he always does, which is amused. "Nya ha ha. I'm Henry. Nothing wrong with a little swelling, it might even lead to exploding." Henry says it like it's exploding is an entirely normal thing to say.

"My name is Gaomon. Well met, Hiccup."

Gomamon blinks, reaching up to touch the side of his face with a flipper. Wow, could that sort of thing really happen? He definitely doesn't want his head to go exploding any time soon.

While the Digimon silently frets, Hiccup nods to the pair with a small grin. "Nice to meet you guys. I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other a lot here, if we're going to be stuck in this place as long as I figure we will be..."

Henry just smiles at Gomamon, amused that he actually believed it. But then, Digimon weren't like humans. Maybe they really did explode when their egos got too big. He kind of wants to see it.

"Probably. It sounds like we're stuck until the whole digital world and real world thing is figured out."

Now that just wouldn't be fair. Then again, Hiccup's fairly sure he wouldn't be so bad off on his own. His ears might stop ringing from Gomamon's incessant chatter at the very least.

"Right. So I guess making as many friends as possible is the best idea. ...and if not friends, acquaintances." ANYTHING but enemies.

"Friends, huh?" That sounds great to Henry. Even if he's not entirely sure how to go about making friends, Hiccup approached him first. That means they can actually be friends. "That sounds awesome!" Besides, it's way better than attempting to navigate this new world alone.

"Mhm." The young viking nods a bit, folding his arms across his chest. "It might be better exploring this place with a buddy too, come to think of it." It seems like Hiccup has the same idea as Henry.

"It'd probably be a lot safer too." Not that Henry really cares about being safe. But dying in pain would definitely suck.

Oh Hiccup doesn't even want to think about that. "Just out of curiosity...where are you from?"

"Plegia. What about you?" He doesn't remember seeing Hiccup anywhere from home. Maybe he's from somewhere else.

"Berk. But it's....pretty far from here, I'm sure." Actually, he's almost certain it's VERY far away.

"I've never heard of it." Henry's got a feeling that Ylisse and Plegia are worlds away. That seems about right. He doesn't recognize anything in this world.
