The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.

Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

[Marona is paying keen attention to the ongoings of the things around her. When someone stumbles and falls out of the chute, instantly she's worried. She had arrived in the same manner, but without the pain.

She rushes over to the girl, kneeling beside her body.]

Hey! Hey, are you okay? What happened?

[It's odd -- It's like parts of her body are... flickering. As if the data hasn't finished stitching her back together.]

ah... wh...?

[At least she's making noise now.]

[Her voice is laced with concern as she speaks. She's... never seen a body do that before. Dead or alive! But... this person needs help, and she's willing to give it.]

I'm Marona. Do you know what happened? Why you fell?

[Someone's... talking?]

Who...

[Ugh. Why is it so bright? Her head swims as she tries to sit up.]

Hey! Don't sit up! You're still hurt. [Marona thinks, anyways. Judging by that data flickering.]

[Xion doesn't sit up fully, keeping both her hands on the floor for balance. She still feels dizzy, but her head is slowly starting to clear. She's aware that there is a floor. That she's on it. That there's someone next to her.

But she doesn't understand.]

Where... am I?

You're in a place called... I think it's Terminal Tokyo? It's another world, I think.

Xion stiffens.]

What? How? There's no way...

I thought so too, at first! But... This isn't anywhere I've ever seen, and I've never seen the monsters here either.
