The Digital World had been having a great deal of earthquakes the last six months. The first was the largest of them and had ended in the shifting of the planes. Since then earthquakes happened periodically, often sending new Chosen Children with it. At first it was Chosen that the Digital World knew and rejoiced, but now and then it would send new Chosen.

Today was different, however. The earthquake that rattled the Digital World felt almost as bad as the first, but there was a difference this time. Suddenly dozens of children were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

It was pretty telling when your life was filled with so much weirdness already that finding yourself in an apparent digital version of Tokyo with a neon pink and purple Lizard-dog monster barely made you freak out for more then a couple minutes. It was... actually somewhat cool? He'd already been in some really realistic VR stuff before, and from what he understood it seemed like this was probably similar, or something.

Either way, he was willing to at least take a look around first. Psychemon, the aforementioned neon dog-reptile monster, was in all honesty a pretty interesting if eccentric little guy. Energetic and curious and lovable, he had greeted Kazu with a big hug. He was just so darn excited too, Kazu couldn't help but get swept up in it a little himself.

Really one of Psychemon's only faults he'd come across so far was a complete lack of an attention span. It seemed every time Kazu looked away the digimon had wandered off to investigate something new. After almost losing track of him for the umpteenth time Kazu eventually decided that the best solution was a piggy back ride. Psychemon was not exactly the smallest digimon he'd seen, but he was small enough that carrying him on his back wouldn't be too much trouble, and he could glide along on his skates a little quicker without having to worry about him keeping up.

There was still one issue though.

"Augh! Again with the horn!" Kazu winced, maybe this hadn't been such a good idea, "Careful when you turn your head. You almost skewered me that time!"

"Sorry Kazu. I thought I saw something neat!" Psychemon replied, poking the teenager with his horn again as he turned his head back.

"Aah! You did that on purpose," Kazu grumbled, "This probably isn't working out maybe I should-"

"Nononono! I like it up here! I can see everything!"

Kazu could only sigh in response. Guess his furry backpack was there to stay for the moment at least.

[Hawkmon and Kazu might get along then, because Gar is currently sharing Psychemon's penchant for ignoring what was considered an attention span in order to explore. Also why Kazu may hear the exasperated shouting from him as Gar bounds over, or rather, follows after him as he looks at Psychemon with wide eyes and a large smile.]

Hey, what's your name? [Whether he means Psychemon or Kazu, it's unclear.]

[ Kazu spun around to greet... a couple of the natives? Well... they certainly looked friendly enough. Maybe they could help him out with directions. Kazu had been trying to find a food stall for a while now that Psychemon kept INSISTING was nearby but was also being incredibly (albeit not deliberately) unhelpful about locating it. ]

I'm-

Psychemon!!

...and I'm Kazu.

Beast Boy. [He says cheerfully, tail swinging from side to side behind him as he points to the disgruntled Hawkmon behind him.] And he's Hawkmon, my partner. So uh, you're also new here right? Your digimon looks really cool.

[ Just Beast Boy, not Beastboymon? Perhaps he wasn't a native after all... Kazu has noticed they seem to follow a certain naming theme. ]

I AM really cool! Kazu why haven't you called me really cool yet?

[ Cue Pyschemon bopping him on the head for attention. ]

I think you're cool too.

[ And exasperating. ]

Sorry. Yeah, I'm definitely new here. It's been... a real experience so far.

Tell me about it. I've never seen so many digimon in my life.

Well uh, I've never seen digimon period, but you get the point. [He then turns to Psychemon.] So what kind of digimon are you?
