What: After hearing a rumor concerning Donatello, Paolo and Arte play detective

Paolo, I don't know if this is such a good idea..

[She said this as she watched Paolo dig through a bag. They had just gotten out of a store to buy 'supplies' at Paolo's insistence. He had just explained his plan to her, and she was doubtful about going through with it.]

Oh cone on Arte, we gotta do this. We're doing it for the nerd's own good. It's out job to protect and help him after all. So we gotta get evidence and clear his name.

But it's a rumor, it may not be true. Donnie wouldn't do anything like the rumors are claiming, besides he shoule be on File Island right about now.

Yeah, and he's also a ninja who could have come back here whenever he felt like it and we'd never know it. [He turned to face the green monkey] Look sis, I don't wanna believe that it's him either. But that's we gotta investigate it, to find out and get evidence that it isn't him. Plus we both know that... he's gone off the deep end before. What if that virus is affecting him again? We both know what he did even if we didn't see it. [He put a hand on ehr shoulder] We gotta look into it sis, whether it's true or not. For his sake.

Well... [he looked tot he side, thinking before letting out a sigh] Okay, well do it.

Good! Now to prepare! Here, put this hat on. [He placed a blaxk deerstalker cap on the Digimon's head and handed her a notepad and pencil while he put on a detective hat and a fake pipe] Now begins the investigation by Sherlock Paolo! Along with his sidekick, Arte Watson!

[Arte just sighed as she adjusted her hat] I hope that I don't regret this...

[It just so happened that Arte and Poalo weren't the only ones out and about that day. Kit, Emerick, and Aubrun had also heard rumors and were out investigating, though they weren't quite looking for the same person as the other two Digimon.

Kit waves as she catches sight of them and heads over with her partners to greet them.]

Hi, guys. [Pauses as she looks them over.] Why are you dressed up like that? Are you going to a costume party?

Huh? [He turned around] Oh hey kid, sorry can't talk now we're busy.

What he means is that no, we're not going to a party.We're... about to start an investigation. There are these rumors going around, one involving Donnie. So we want top find out what's going on.

[alley_kit]

Oh! yeah, we heard those rumors too. In fact, we're out investigating too. I just didn't know you needed funny hats for it.

We heard that some people had seen another kitten like Kit here who'd been stealing small things and playing tricks one people. But Kit was with us when it happened, so it couldn't have been her.

From the way people described him, it sounded like my brother, Kat. But if he was here, he'da said something. At least to me, after he found out I was around. So we gotta find that faker and ask him why he's going around pretending to be my brother.

[Kit nods firmly, as if there is no doubt they'll succeed.]

What? You too? Man, is the Digital World screwing with us again?! You knock it off Digital World!

So then it isn't only Donnie who has some kind of copy running around. Who knows how many are out there? This may be a bit more serious than we thought.

[alley_kit]

Yeah. There's been a lot of rumors about weird stuff going on. I think Trixie's been having the same problem with somebody pretending to be her and causing trouble.

That's why we need to figure it out now, before things get really out of hand.

[Kit nods]

Yeah. They're just doing little stuff and bugging people now, but they might be planning to do worse stuff. We need to make sure.
