The Great Post-Beemon Clean Up

Who: goalggle_head Daisuke Motomiya & YOU!
What: Beemon really wrecked the city so it's time to start cleaning up the mess and rebuilding things. Daisuke is more or less used to this so let him help!
When: Early May [Basically, any time after this post]
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo



The day was beautiful, the weather perfect, and Daisuke was glad that at least that was pleasant. The work ahead of him was going to be anything but pleasant. That didn't mean it didn't need to be done though. Daisuke stretched and then turned to Veemon who was carrying some of the supplies.

"All right. Let's go meet up with the others and then we can get started clearing out the debris."

Veemon nodded and both of them set off for the West-side of town where the majority of the damage was. Daisuke carried two large bags with him which contained the promised snacks. He wasn't sure Veemon wouldn't eat them all.


[OOC: Okay, so treat this as a party-style log. You can create any subthreads you want I just recommend putting your JOB and DATE in the header. Daisuke will just hop around in the various threads too. You can either be in CLEAN UP duty or RECONSTRUCTION duty. And the dates are kinda just whenever. I'll probably also throw up a "end of day snack thread" at some point for people to rest in.]

Just as promised, Marley began helping with the cleanup as soon as the sign up sheet for working with the cleanup crew went up. It made things easier for her and Hawkmon to get involved, especially after she told Daisuke she would help. Any day that the pair weren't training with Commander Uzuki, they were found at the clean up site.

They started with the smaller stuff, since Marley was not only sore from training, but she never did anything like this before. Hawkmon was doing what he could to help, but he was just as sore. Nevertheless, they put forth just as much effort as everyone else.

Daisuke waved at Marley as he made his way to the street they were currently working on. They'd been making good progress so far so the larger pieces of rubble were now moved off and it was down to a lot of sweeping and dealing with the broken glass and smaller bits of rock and broken cement. "Hey Marley, how's it going?"

Hearing her name, Marley lifted her gaze as she straightened with a bucket filled rubble. She strained a little before smiling, noticing Daisuke coming closer.

"Daisuke, hi. It's going good, I think. Just a few more trips to drop off what's over here, and I think this side will be done." She shifted her weight, wincing faintly before choosing to set the bucket down. Her arms were still so sore from training, but she planned to finish up before going back to her apartment to rest.

"How are you? It's amazing what you've managed to pull off, gathering up people to help with the clean-up."

That was good to hear. The clean up process had taken longer than Daisuke would have thought, but it was coming along. The promise of getting paid helped as did the good company and snacks. It was STILL hard work though.

"Good. I brought today's snacks. Veemon grabbed the sweets and I handled the salty. I guess we'll help you haul the stuff and then get started on another section." He grinned a bit sheepishly, "AH, well, Veemon and I used to do this our first time in the Digital World. It's not bad once you get people to help."

"Oh! Snacks! I'll go get something!" Excited with the prospect of food, Hawkmon flew over the group towards where things were set up. Marley could only chuckle as she rubbed her left arm.

"I think you just made someone's day by mentioning the snacks."
