[ As planned, the party is being held at the karaoke bar. On the middle tables of the room are two 8-tier cakes surrounded by whatever presents people brought. There are snacks and drinks on the other tables. Balloons fill the corners of the room. It looks pretty sweet.

He's already texted Rise about meeting him here, under the guise of a date, so she should be showing up any moment now...

Get ready to yell surprise and belt out some tunes (whether you can sing or not)! ]

[ Before his text, she was really planning to give him a piece of her mind. He had worried her so much!


--- she changed her mind when she arrived though. So this is why he disappeared. It was pretty smart of him to set this all up in the one place she was trying to avoid for today. ]

[Sonata is definitely here to wish Rise a happy birthday! She didn't have enough to buy something super awesome for her fellow idol, but she still brought a gift! Sonata had also managed to find a cute bunny hooded dress similar to the one she had worn to a handshake event while dragging Penguinmon around town one day, so she's dressed up in that.]

[ Rise ran to her sort-of little sister and gave her a tight hug. Oh, Sonata. How do you get so cute and adorable? ]

Mmm! Sonata heard about it on the network!

[ Did she mean the post she made when she was still looking for Wally? ]

Oh! The one I made earlier?

[This is Marley hopping out of her place of hiding, with Hawkmon standing on her shoulders to make the pair look like an awkward totem pole. They're both smiling and Marley cups her hands around her mouth.]

Happy birthday, Rise!

[ Sorry, Marley. She doesn't even hear you. She was too much in a high! She grabs Marley by the arm and dragged her with her to the karaoke machine.

Yay! Another friend she can sing with! And she knew this girl could definitely sing. ]

Song, start!

[Hawkmon takes to the air as Marley is dragged to the karaoke machine. She laughs and spins in a circle before going through the list of songs. She wants something upbeat (it's a party, after all).]

How about...THIS!

[She smiles brightly as she selects the song. Soon, the opening music for Come On Over starts, and it doesn't take long for Marley to jump in with the vocals.]

[ She was a little worried about the language barrier. Rise didn't know a lot of western songs, but she was lucky this time. Marley actually chose a song that she was familiar with.

It was not long before she was singing and dancing with her. ]

[The Prince saw the invitation on the network, and from what he understands of birthdays, that means that he is wanted there, yes? So obviously, he must go! He makes sure that he picks up a present on his way there, however. In the Collection, the King had said that girls love polka dots on umbrellas, so the Prince found one, and he also is bringing a pack of gum, because it is candy that never disappears, no matter how much you chew. Who would not want that? He even wrapped up the both of them in a long, thin white box, with a ribbon tied into a bow. He knows what presents look like. They look the same for everybody. Even the King was so gracious as to bestow him with presents every once and a while.

He seeks Rise out once he arrives, assuming that the presents must be delivered to the birthday girl in question.]

Ah! Rise! There you are. [He holds out the box, beaming.] Happy birthday!

[ Rise had just come from another singing battle with one of her idol friends, so her voice was a little hoarse from all the singing and laughing. The moment she saw Prince, she excused herself and ran towards him.

Don't mind her. She will just give him a biiiiggg hug for coming. ]

[My! The Prince certainly was not expecting this kind of a reaction, though he is rather glad for it. It boosts his excitement about this whole thing. He will even return the hug Rise is giving him! Wow, his very first hug from a human. He will have to write this down later.]

Yes! My friends are all here, I have the best boyfriend in the world and I have cake!

Is this why you were asking about birthdays earlier?

[ At that time she didn't really find it very odd. But after hearing that Wally had talked about it it made sense now. ]

[ After the initial surprise, Wally greets her with a kiss. He's not normally one for public displays of affection, but this is a special case. ]

Happy birthday, beautiful. You like it?

[ He's talking about the party, of course. He'll give her her present later. ]

I love it! I love it! [ She was running towards him now and wrapping her arms around him. She was not expecting this. Since he was her first boyfriend, she didn't know what to expect. Maybe a date. A small present.

But a party!?

And Alexandria thought she has bad tastes? As far as Rise is concerned, she had the best boyfriend in the world! ]

I love it! And oh! [ She begins planting kisses all over his face now. Because ... what else could a girlfriend who was this happy could do? ]

[ She hoped that wasn't too soon. Her cheeks are a little flushed, but she just wanted to say it. ]

I don't know how I could possibly top all this on your birthday.

[ Wally laughs and holds her close. Her enthusiasm is infectious. ]

Hey, don't worry about my birthday. This is for you!

[ He drops his voice a little, his grin turning into more of a smirk. ]

And... I've got your present back at my place. But right now this is the present.

[ Lowering her voice as well. ]

I can't wait. Now, since it's my birthday. How about having my first dance with me?

[Terra kinda watches Rise, with all the fun, smirking and smiling. Okay, maybe it's time to stop giving Wally dirty looks at work. She approaches her, after a song, seems Rise's doing a lot of those.]

[ She was dancing crazily with the other girls before she saw Terra. She excused herself so she could run over and greet her. By greeting, I mean give her a biig hug. ]

Extremely! You knew, did you?

That is why you said that.

[Terra laughs and returns the hug in surprise.] 'Course I did! Wouldn't let him do this alone. Had to make sure it all run well. [She winks.]

Hope you don't mind, I only got you something little.

[IT'S A BARRETT. Red, to go with her hair.]

Of course I don't! Having you here is even enough. You didn't have to get me a present.

[ She unwraps it and without hesitation fastens it on her hair. ]

Thank you. It is perfect! And it goes with my dress. No, it is your turn. When is your birthday?

[Cam looked for gifts. He did! He's not good at this! His mom always helped him back home, even with Maya's! But no, he will do this right, he has a cute little sparkly bag -- she likes sparkles, right? -- and goes up to Rise, presenting it--]

Um. H-happy Birthday, Rise.

[Inside the bag is a pair of earrings! Purple and pink, little stars.]

[ Rise likes sparkles and she liked stars. So Cam didn't have to worry. She was going to love it just fine ... and she did! So much that the moment she opened it she decided to wear them. ]

Thank you. They're so cute ...

[ She gives him a friendly hug. Ever since Wally told her about her being the only person he'd be kissing, she decided that she wouldn't be kissing anyone else either. Even on the cheek as what she'd normally do.]

[Cam's still a little weird about hugs. He likes them! Quite a lot, actually, but usually when he gets them he has this look of brief surprise, unless they're from someone he's gotten a lot from. But he still returns it, a thankful smile spreading across his face.]
