Last month had been relatively calm, with only a new Dark Area being found.

But once again, that calm was disrupted.  For the third consecutive time, an earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners.  Mayhaps even some of the Choosen that have been here for a while, have predicted this to happen, today.

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

[Naoya seems absolutely absorbed in his D-Terminal as he walks around town, with BlackAgumon leading the way. Once in a while, BlackAgumon stops and gestures to one of the buildings, which Naoya studies for a few seconds before nodding and continuing on his way.

Eventually, he closes the D-Terminal and stands quietly in thought before muttering to himself.]

...Hm. It's not like anything I've seen before...

[fuhrinkaed]

[Oh it is a person I don't know! Surely he is every bit as friendly and get-along-withable as everyone else here. Let us go say hi to him and make a new friend.]

Hi there! I haven't seen you around before... how are you?

[It's a good thing he's trying to be on his best behavior as he hasn't assessed the situation well enough yet.]

As well as I can be, given the situation.

[It will probably also be helpful that Ed has all the danger sense of a rock.

Actually the rock may be better able to sense danger.]

It's a little bit disorienting, yeah... but we're all here to help each other, and that goes for me too. Is there anything you need cleared up?

How long have you been here? What do you know about the program these devices run on?

A couple of months now... And the devices... Uhh..

I dunno. I'm more of a magic guy. Sciencey stuff was always Mylene's thing, and she's not really here so... Oh! Where are my manners. I'm Ed! It's nice to meet you.

Months? [That doesn't seem to please him too much.]

I'm Naoya. Where did you learn magic?

A combination of being self taught, a bunch of ancient books, and a dryad.

I've had other teachers too, but she was the first one. It's nice to meet you, Naoya.

I've never met anyone who learned magic from a dryad. Are you from here?

[He knew that there were words beyond his own and even beyond the demon world, but he was still a long way from figuring out how to get to any of them, if it was possible at all.]

Nah... my world's way different. I can't feel the elements or cast any spells or anything here, and I'm pretty sure if I told any of the natives about a Reverse World, they'd just look at me funny. How about you? You've gotta be from somewhere else, right?

I'm from Tokyo, but not this particular version of it.

It appears this world may be a hub for many others.

You're really smart! It took me like a day to figure that one out. [There isn't an ounce of sarcasm to his voice.]

I'm from an island a little off the coast of Japan--well, that's where I was before here, anyways. Before that I was traveling another dimension for like three years. But thaaat's kind of a long story.

I've spent a lot of time considering that type of thing. [And now that he appears to have found the hub world, he's already thinking up ideas to draw power from it into his own.]

Could you enter another dimension by choice, or was it an accident?

No shit it isn't. If you'd seen something like this before, I'd question what the hell kind of drugs you're on, and where I could get some. Will you walk faster?

For your information, I designed something similar in function to this before, it's just the underlying code that seems different. Not that I would expect the average person to understand the complexities of a program like that.

[As far as walking faster goes, he might make a point to walk slower now.]

You built something designed to rip people out of their homes, when we were fucking busy thank you very much, and bring them across to a magical bullshit land where nothing makes sense, they appear to have given a miss to the laws of fucking physics, and we're basically here to be batteries to some monsters?
