[closed] the phone is ringing...
Who: Yomiel, Hope, Campbell, and Sissel.
What: New guy comin' through!
When: June 13th, 2013, late morning.
Where: Yomiel meets Sissel while wandering around outside, and then later on he moves into F1 002 and discovers the other relatively new people.
[Yomiel makes for a strange sight against the already weird mish-mash of Terminal Tokyo. Wearing his trademark red suit, he carries a white puppy-like Digimon tucked in the crook of an elbow. His other hand clings tight to his red jacket, which just barely covers his head and partially shields Salamon from the rain. Really, he's soaked. His yellow hair is starting to lose altitude and come down around his ears.]
This is some nasty weather, [he grumbles as he darts across the open, trying to take shelter in the doorway of a small store.] I wonder if it's a coding error or if someone's doing it on purpose.
[ooc: here is the roommate thread! You are free to start your own offshoot or take turns, whichever you'd like.]

[Salamon stretches out, shaking himself off like a tiny dog. Yomiel winces as more water gets on him. And in his face.] Are you a friend of Yomiel's? Hi, I'm Salamon.
This is Sissel. Not my fiancee, but my best friend from back then.
no subject
I haven't heard from Jowd since this happened. But it's been about... a week now?
Ten days!
Okay, ten days. [ He smiles toward Salamon, and it only grows more genuine when Yomiel introduces him. ] Hey, little 'un. Is it safe to presume you're Yomiel's partner?
no subject
To his credit, Salamon isn't jealous at all.] Yeah! I'm making sure he isn't lonely anymore.
[Yomiel frowns and looks a touch embarrassed.] Uh, I'm fine. So who's this little guy? [The loudmouth hitching a ride on Sissel's back, he means.]
no subject
It's a good job to do. [ Sissel raises an arm so Terriermon can climb around and hop onto the ground between them. ]
I'm Terriermon! So you're the guy in red, huh? [ Because of course Sissel has a hard time talking about people by their names. ] Don't worry. I've been taking care of him. We even got him a job!
no subject
He smirks and leans down to look at Terriermon. Salamon hops down too, wanting to make friends.]
Hi, Terriermon! Nice to meet you.
Yep, that's me. How'd you get Sissel to find a job? He's pretty lazy, you know. You gotta keep him motivated.
no subject
In fact, if Yomiel looks up, he might notice a bandage on each of Sissel's fingers in a line where he turned around and smacked his hand into a sharp edge. Yuck. ]
Good to meet'cha too, Salamon! And, well, he wants to learn what humans do! And this job gives him plenty of time being outside and watching them to figure it out, right?
I'm not that bad. [ But, you know, he really is. ]
no subject
[Yomiel is nothing if not observant. That's like, the only sharp edge he's kept. He frowns as he sees the bandages.]
Cats don't usually hold jobs except mousing. [a pause] I really hope you're not mousing-- unless you want ghost rats everywhere.
[He pulls his eyes off the bandages and tries to sound nonchalant about things, even though he's kind of worried.]
Mind if we get out of the rain? I like cold baths about as much as you do.

[ Sissel notices Yomiel seems to have switched tracks somewhere, but he's not exactly following the issue here. He usually doesn't until someone points it out. At the suggestion of moving, Sissel nods and leans down halfway with an arm out to Terriermon — his partner takes the hint and clambers up onto his back once again while Sissel glances about for the lost umbrella. ]
Where are we going?
There's that diner down the street, isn't there? I saw it earlier.
Oh, yeah. I liked it there.
no subject
A diner sounds good.
[Salamon slips beneath his other arm.]

It's over this way.
We'll need a detour to avoid all those karts, though. Shouldn't take too long.
no subject
Was this city always into go-karts?
no subject
No, that's something new.
The city started reprogramming itself a few days ago. There's a new track every time we wake up, so maybe it will run out of them soon.
Considering how inconvenient it is... I sure hope so.
no subject
[He makes sure to keep the umbrella tilted to keep them... slightly drier as they walk.]
It looks like some of them are having fun. Loud engines were never really my thing, though.
no subject
[ Every bit of dryness is appreciated. They'll soon be moving through some alleys that will catch a lot of the rain, but the umbrella will still help the most. ]
They make my ears hurt! Not that that's hard to do...
Yeah, there is that.
no subject
[Oh, the alley is a welcome reprieve, even if Yomiel is expecting it to look a big more run-down and full of homeless people than it is.]
For some people, there's something appealing about going really fast. That's why amusement parks exist.
no subject
[ Not that he's saying it fixed any problems (it caused quite a lot, really) but it's the closest analogous scenario he has. Cat, remember? ]
But that big wheel in Pallet City doesn't go fast.
That one goes really high instead. People really like dangerous things, don't they?
no subject
[Yomiel smirks a bit.]
Don't people get scared?
Yeah, but that's what makes it fun. There's a point where you get so scared that you can't help but be excited.
no subject
Like when you're fighting, or exploring a new place! Right?
no subject
[Yomiel tilts his head at that analogy.]
You got it. I'm not sure how much I love fighting, but you guys are better built for it than I am.
[Speaking of which. He groans quietly as they round a corner, surprising himself.]
Ugh. Are we there yet?
no subject
[ Sissel grins at the groan, then points ahead once they're past the corner. ] There it is. It wasn't all that far, was it?
