Hello Chosen Within the City

What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo again.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Digimon you will be fighting!]]

[As they approach the scene...yeah Perry can see it. Bartholomew's eyes widen slightly. What does that digimon think he is doing? Perry is equally flabbergasted and gives Bartholomew a look. Bartholomew returns the look and then just sighs in a 'well, what are you going to do' kind of expression.

Perry eyes the pair and then looks back in time to see Bullmon pawing at the ground and staring their way. He doesn't move at first, his hand just slowly going for the digivice at his belt. He'd only managed to do it during the last battle so far and he wasn't entirely sure how it worked.

No time like the present then since the Bullmon is charging them, head lowered like the creature it's named for. Perry jumps, whipping his orange, square patterned scarf from around his neck and lassoing it to the bulls horns as he flips up onto its back like you'd see cowboys do in a rodeo. Perry can do a rodeo, right? He plants a foot into the Bullmon's neck as he tries to steer it away from Arcee and Tapirmon but the Bullmon is (of course) NOT a normal bull. He bucks and Perry loses his grip on his scarf/lasso.]

Tapirmon digivolve to...Wizardmon.

[And then there's Wizardmon. Apparently his transformation of his hat had stuck and instead of the usual witch hat on his head he had a blue fedora with a skull on it. Wizardmon jumped up and caught his partner. Thankfully, despite being a human now, Perry was still on the small side. Wizardmon set him down and immediately brought out his staff from whatever magical place he stored it.]

Thunder Ball!

[The Bullmon was hit with ball lightning and diverted away from Arcee and company at the last minute.]

Don't worry. I'll make sure to get the scarf back.

[After dodging away from the charging Bullmon, there's an awkward moment of silence on Arcee's end as she watches Bartholomew become something entirely different than what she's used to. No one told her these things could become other things. After shaking off the blow of his own headbutt, Tapirmon looks up at his partner and seems to read her like a book.]

It's okay, he's different. He's HatTapirmon.

Excuse me?

No time to explain!

[They are in mid-battle, after all. Tapirmon may not be the sharpest, but he at least knows when it's time to be serious. He was simply, erm... emotional before. Now that he had his sense knocked back into him, the Digivolving may proceed.]

Tapirmon digivolve to... Bullmon!

[The sight of her own Bullmon is quite the relief for Arcee, that irritated look she was wearing before is now replaced with a much more confident one. Tapirmon might be annoying and childish, but when he brings his A game, she knows she can count of him. In fact, the first thing she does is climb onto his back, ready for battle.]

This is more like it.

Thanks for the help, Hatmon! I'm gonna remember that in the future.

[Just because the other Bullmon diverted, doesn't mean Bullmon's done with him just yet. He still has...some sort of honor complex to work out. Something about Sheepmon, I don't know. Either way, the giant bovine turns and begins running to build up speed, only to turn back and charge for their enemy.]

MATADOR DASH!!

[Energy surrounds his form as he rams his body into the other bull, Arcee hanging on for the ride. Hearing Bartholomew earlier, he actually tries his best not to harm the scarf in the process. Meaning, it's more than likely the attack was not enough to finish the beast off.]

[Perry wants to help fight but he knows that taking on the Rookie digimon was about the extent of his abilities here. He couldn't exactly ride Wizardmon into battle either like Arcee was doing. But, he wasn't just going to run and hide either. Plus, he needed his scarf back.]

Hatmon?

[Wizardmon wasn't sure about the new nickname. But, he'd have to think about it later. Bartholomew rushed after Arcee's Bullmon as he charged. The Bullmon with his partner's scarf was still a problem after all and he needed the opening. Bartholomew jumped in once the attack was finished, bonking the Bullmon on the head with his wizard staff and grabbing the scarf with his free hand. He jumped up to stand on the ledge of a nearby building and held the scarf tightly.]

He's all yours now my friend.

[Wizardmon waved the scarf in a taunting gesture at the enemy Bullmon, hoping to distract him so that the good Bullmon could give him the next attack.]

Item get!!

[Bullmon sings his own little video game jingle to emphasize his point. Now that the scarf was safe and sound, it's finally time to get serious. Thanks to the enemy being distracted, Bullmon takes this time to turn once again, running at a fantastic pace to build up his speed. Making a U-turn, he lowers his head and becomes his own weapon, metal hooves pounding against the concrete in an almost terrifying fashion.

But nothing is more terrifying than the piercing blow of Bullmon's horns, at least to the enemy. They stab through and crack the creature's armor, impaling it in a grizzly manner. Arcee doesn't seem to mind, however, hanging onto her Bullmon throughout all of it and yelling out a battle cry of encouragement. Years and years of war have jaded her to the point where this is very normal. She was simply happy that this battle was over now.

Next...everyone else.]

There, happy now?

Pff, don't talk to me like that, you don't understand. I'm a warrior of love, this had to be done. Now Sheepmon will come back and shower me with affection and fluff. Come on, back me up FedoraHatWizardmon.

[They're going to leave the body of the enemy Bullmon on the ground for now. As far as Arcee knows, it might not actually be dead, just injured. She almost hopes some sort of, I dunno, Doctormon comes over and patches it up. Maybe knock some sense into it so it doesn't go crazy again.

Just feels a little weird fighting your own Digimon...]

[The Bullmon does start back up, though, a groan rising from it. A sudden grey light blinds it, however, as something literally materializes in front of Arcee.

An emblem in a tag-like pendant, right before her eyes, reacting to her no-nonsense attitude.

Her crest. The Crest of Sincerity.]

[Perry appeared by Wizardmon's side on the roof. Do not ask how he got up there so quickly. Wizardmon seems just as surprised by it as anyone else.]

Oh! There you are Perry.

[Perry simply takes his scarf back and puts it back on. He knew it probably wasn't REALLY a representation of his former platypus tail, but the coloring and pattern were a little too close to that pattern and he didn't want to think what would happen if he returned home without it. The duo watched as Arcee's Bullmon finally defeated the other Bullmon. Perry was glad because the distinction was starting to get confusing in his head.

Perry looked at Bartholomew who was now being addressed.]

FedoraHa---my name's Bartholomew. That's a little long for a nickname don't you think.

[Perry snorted. Considering his partner's FULL name, it wasn't like it could get any longer. He put a hand on his partners shoulder and just shook his head. Forget it.]

Well, I do think we need to clean up a few more messes before Sheepmon will shower you with affection. It'll be difficult to celebrate if the city is destroyed.

[Good Point. Perry glanced off from and from his vantage point of the roof he could see that there were still several Champion-level digimon rampaging about.

Before he could direct them towards that area, however, Perry and Bartholomew had to shield their eyes from the suddenly bright grey light. The pair blinked and Perry raised an eyebrow. What the heck was that? Were the digimon dropping items now? This wasn't that kind of RPG was it?]

[Forgive her if it takes her a moment, things don't normally materialize in front of her very often. Especially not jewelery. Arcee gives a very blank stare at first, side-eying as if saying "Did anyone lose a thing?" soon after.

Bullmon breaks the awkwardness by singing his jingle again.]

Ba-dun-na-na-na--

[That certainly snaps her out of her trance as she snags the crest pendant and punches Bullmon on the head all in one swift motion. She'll hold onto this thing for now, if someone comes looking for it it's not like she won't give it back to them. But right now they have work they need to do, so she'll just stuff it in her jacket pocket for now.]

Save it for later, Player 1, they're right.

[She motions to Perry and Bartholomew on the roof. Bullmon snorts, wanting to gush over the fact that they have a crest now since Arcee obviously isn't doing it, buuuut WizardHatMonGuy is right. He can't get sheep snugs if the city's destroyed.]

Right, got it! You guys wanna team up again~? I promise to take extra scarf safety precautions.

[Perry snorts in amusement. Well at least that got rid of the sort of...mystic nature of the magic jewelry. The punch to the head was well timed. Bartholomew still seems a little awed by it but then clears his throat. If that's what he THINKS it is, well, he's kinda maybe a little jealous.

But, now's not the time. There's Digimon to fight. Perry points in the direction of the nearest enemy: a duo of Harpymon that seem to be doing their hardest to break in to a nearby store. Wizardmon spots them and nods down to Bullmon.]

Certainly! Let's go.

[Glancing over to where Perry's pointing, Bullmon spots the Harpymon and rears up once more. He's a show off, especially after taking down that other Digimon. Now he's just pumped.]

WOO HOOO!!

[With that out of his system, he dashes off in their direction. Arcee doesn't seem as enthused, however. Flying enemies were always a problem, the majority of Bullmon's attacks involved him ramming into his opponents somehow. The fact that he's charging into battle so eagerly almost makes her think he'd forgotten this...]

We're gonna need to find a way to make them grounded.

[She looks back at Perry and Bartholomew, there's no easy way to say it... so she won't. BUT she's hoping they realize this will be more their battle this time.]

[Perry and Bartholomew run across the roof tops because that's just cool. Plus, it will give them an advantage once they reach the pair of Harpymon. They somehow manage to keep pace with Bullmon and Perry is already trying to figure out the problem with fighting aerial digimon.

He knows Arcee is right. He scans the area as they approach and notices the telephone wires nearby. Hmm...yeah that might work. Especially with Wizardmon's electric based attacks. Perry taps his partner's arm as they run and gestures in that direction. Bartholomew seems to get it just as they arrive.]

Hey Chicken Ladies!

[The Harpymon squawk and look up from what they're doing as if to ask "Chicken Ladies?" Bartholomew jumps down from the roof and grabs on to the back of one of the Digimon. She squawks again and starts flying in circles and in loops to get the digimon off her back. Wizardmon holds tight and brings a hand up.]

Thunder Cloud!

[A small cloud forms above him and starts striking the bird-woman in the rear, driving her towards the electric wires hanging between buildings. She tries to divert her course but he continues the onslaught of lightning to drive her in that direction. She hit the wires and Wizardmon jumped off just as she did, flipping and landing on one of the poles. He slammed his hand down onto the pole.]

Thunder Ball!

[The Harpymon shrieked as the electricity coursed through her and then she dropped out of the sky. That was one bird lady down but where was the other?]

Wind Seeker!

[Bartholomew yelped as he was pelted with wind like knives and his cape was torn practically to shreds. The Harpymon let out a loud cry and dove for him. She might have gotten him too if Perry hadn't found a trashcan lid (he'd climbed down to the alleyway while the attention had been on Wizardmon) and flung it at her head. There was a loud clang and the bird woman turned on him.

Perry looked surprisingly calm and stood his ground as the Harpymon came flying towards him. At the last minute he dove out of the way and the digimon actually FLEW into a wall. Perry came up from his dive roll and looked in Arcee and Bullmon's direction. Your turn.]

[The electrical battle between NoirWizardmon and the Harpymon was really something, a something that was just amazing enough to get Bullmon to stop and watch and awe.

Well...shoot. He certainly is awesome, isn't he? N-Not that Bullmon would admit that out loud or anything. Although all that technical planning between Perry and his partner gave Bullmon a whole new insight on battles. Normally he just charges in and tries to hit hard and fast, almost like a bull, but now it felt as though maybe that wasn't fancy enough.

He must fix that.

So of course, when his turn came along, he had to prove he could do it. That, and get revenge for Wizardmon's cape.]

Arcee, the telephone lines!

[Arcee gives a quick glance at the telephone lines, then back at her partner with a raised eyebrow. What about the telephone lines exactly...?]

Primus--Just hit it!

...Right!

[Well, so much for that.]

MATADOR DASH!!

[Sticking to his guns, Bullmon performs a fully powered fully body attack, slamming his heavy form against both the harpy and the wall. There's a sandwich joke in here somewhere, but there is most definitely a smashed Digimon.]

[Perry is pretty sure you missed the point Bullmon. He is just relieved that you managed to get the Harpymon before she got back into the air. Bartholomew hops over now and jerks his thumb back at his Harpymon as he sees the damage Bullmon wrought.]

She's passed out and this one's a pancake. I believe we are done here. Should we press on to the next area?
