Hello Chosen Within the City
Who: The city!
What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo
Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.
They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]
[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.
Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyoagain.
There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.
Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Digimon you will be fighting!]]

Shelterers and Medicers...UNITE!
Within the center it seems oddly peaceful in the city. The walls block out a lot of the sound of the fighting and incoming Digimon, but a glance outside might ruin any peaceable thoughts.
Luckily, at least, there seems to be plenty of food and water.]
[medcenter | any day]
So, when a new swarm of digimon were set to come to the city and attack, Ryan did exactly what he had done the last time and headed over to the convention center. If the last battle was any indication, there would always be people silly enough to try and take on digimon by themselves and they'd need medical attention.
Sure enough, the familiar medcenter was set up, and Ryan fell into place like he'd never left. It was a role, just like any other, and though Ryan might not have been the best suited for the role, he was going to do what he could. He'd learned a lot the last time around.]
medcenter, any day
Normally, she might have at least tried to cheer up anyone who needed it, but instead, she remains fairly sullen and quiet instead.
... Penguinmon is still trying to find the balance between finding this behavior disturbing and being grateful she isn't harassing him or bouncing all over the place.]
[ medical center | open, any day and any time! ]
Salamon is just as curious as he is. The little puppy-like Digimon offers himself up as cuddling material, when he's not fetching various supplies that is.]

open;
Fortunately, she seems to luck out with nothing having approached her so far. Care to change that for her? ]
[medcenter | second day | OPEN TO ALL BUT GIVE ME SOME TIME...]
In Kapuskasing, his mom would ride with him in the ambulance, if she could, or Justin would, if she couldn't.
In Toronto, Ms. Oh went along, worried after he (presumably) accidentally fell from the catwalk. Dallas did too, under the condition that he was worried about his star player. (He probably was; Cam figures Dallas probably considered him a screw-up disappointment.)
Cam was told here, he was taken by Lucette, not an ambulance. Maya went with him. There's a section all set up for those injured, with a few rooms set aside and tarps outside, in case it got to be too many. Luckily, he got a room. Still, there's no doctors. Some Digimon, doing the best they can, some Chosen. Enough people around to get his arm set, apparently. He wasn't awake for it.
When he woke up, he had a blue cast.
That's one thing that's the same.
Now, it's like a reverse of two months ago. Everyone else was hurt and he was fine. Now he's really banged up, laying in a hospital bed, on a (correct) dose of painkillers, just anticipating the lecture's he'll get.
Maya's there a lot, doting and apologetic. He hates that he made her worry, but he's glad she's not hurt. He'll heal, he can handle it; he never wants to see her in pain.
He's resting now. Resting, but holding up the crest that appeared during the battle with his right hand, letting it dangle in front of him. The Crest of Courage. His chest tingles a little.
Courage? Really? Him? He's not that sure.]

Requesting a Digimon for Dark Digivolution if possible!
So with the attack on the city, Lillet finds herself scrambling to try to figure out what to do. She could stay behind and help tend to the injured, but she wasn't that great at first aid, and Lillet didn't feel that it would be right not to do what she could to fend off the Digimon.
... The only problem was that her magic and all the runes she had learned back at the school were useless here.]

Didn't we just do this?
[Despite that, she says this while she runs out anyway, fully ready for a fight with Tapirmon just inches behind her. He doesn't seem all too bothered as he follows around on all fours per usual, acting as though nothing can go wrong.]
It's like you said at the party, it's a war. Wars have--
[Before he can finish, he stops completely in his tracks and proceeds to let out a horrible gasp. Arcee, managing to catch this out of the corner of her eye thankfully, mutters a curse before turning around and scooping him up so he can be an idiot out of harms way. When they do manage to find a temporary safe spot, she glares at the tiny tapir.]
What is it? Why did you stop?
There was another Bullmon.
[His voice is practically a whisper as he motions his head towards the Champions going at the city. Sure enough, another Bullmon happens to stampede by.]
...And?
What do you mean, 'And'?! It's an imposter! What...what is SHEEPMON SEES?! She'll think I've been destroying the city ANDNEVERTALKTOMEAGAIN
[Before Arcee can point out that there can, in fact, be more than one Bullmon, Tapirmon charges out from their hiding place, apparently gaining his fighting spirit back.]
FOR SHEEPMON!!
Wha--Wait!
[But it's no use, Tapirmon is deafened by his need to impress girls who aren't even here. Annoyed and frustrated, Arcee gives chase after her own partner.]
Scrap. At least change first!
TAPIRMON TEAM UP YEAH!
Speaking of interesting, he stopped running when he saw another Tapirmon come whizzing by shouting something about a Sheepmon, followed by a woman calling after him to change first. Bartholomew blinks.]
Uh...well that was certainly unexpected. Should we help them?
[Perry rolled his eyes. There were a lot of strong digimon around so it probably would take some team work to drive them back. His features settled into a serious expression and he brought his fedora out, nodding. Yes, yes they should help.
Perry sprinted out and caught up with Arcee surprisingly fast. He recognized her now as one of the only other Chosen with a Tapirmon and recalled the conversation about intelligence. He gave her a quick two fingered salute.]
We're here to help, ma'am.

She turned to look at Lucemon with a very worried expression. All this time, she never managed to digivolve Lucemon into champion level ... and she was becoming more and more afraid that she was doing something wrong.
Could she really protect anyone with how she was now? ]
Don't look at me like that.
Like what?
Like you're afraid.
That's the problem ... I am.
Do it later ... they are coming.

nearby the medical center, afternoon, ota
The convention center that is told to be shelter is just up ahead yet when she turned to check on Dracmon, who had been walking by her side, but he is missing.]
Dracmon? Where ar- [As much as she hated getting interrupted, having a baby vampire thrown at you with enough force to knock you down is a pretty big interruption.
An Octomon with scribbles and gross graffiti on it's shell is the cause of the attack. Apparently, a certain someone thought it would be funny to do a prank along the way. Once she gets her posture and senses back to get the idea on what just happened, there goes any calmness she had and grabs Dracmon by his skull-helmet headpiece thing.]
What did you do, you little shit?!
Dracmon thought it wouldn't notice since it's too busy destroying everything!
Was it really necessary?! To risk my damn life just to play a worthless prank?
[While the Octomon's gun is firing at random buildings, continuing it's first purpose, the front tentacles start to lash out in front of the duo. Celes snarled at the octopus monster, dropping Dracmon back on the ground and taking some steps back from it, attempting to keep distance.]
I hope you have an idea on how to deal with this... I would let you be fish food, but apparently, you are my only chance for survival.
Eheh. Of cour-
Shut up. Just get rid of it!
[A baby vampire versus a giant octopus with multiple weapons. This doesn't look good for either her or her partner, but she has to risk this, even if it means risking her life again. She is not going to lose a game like this ever again, the results of her trial already confirmed that when she has been given this second chance. There is no more room for fuckups.
Dracmon just gets his claws ready, the eyes in his palms staring at the Octomon, who shows aggression and no fear. Celes could just turn, but leaving Dracmon on his own plus being too pissed off at that octopus for knocking her down? Not happening. She wants to see that sea monster cut up into pieces.
Her Digivice is beeping yet someone is too angry to pay attention to it...]

Day 2 | Right outside the Main Terminal
[Juri Katou has never expected to go to the Digital World again, let alone one that's mixed with Earth. She's never expected to hear from Culumon (who was very excited to see her) that she's been chosen to help save not just this world, not just hers, but every one out there.
And she's never expected to see a small lion who spoke in a rumbling voice like Leomon's, who tells her he is her partner, her Leomon, the one she lost months and months ago.
Their reunion doesn't exactly have time to progress too far; a blast shakes the building and Culumon cowers. Juri promises she'll be back and rushes out with Leomon-- er, Leormon. Her heart's pounding in her chest, but something's going on, out there, and she can't just stay on the sidelines?
She has to be a good girl and help out.
Right outside is a Greymon, trying to charge at the Main Terminal. Leormon's fur stands on end and Juri takes a step back; they might need help with this.]
Juri, can you digivolve me?
I...I don't know, I've never...done that before.
[Definitely will need some help with this.]
no subject
Hm... Oi, Gazimon, what information do you have on that one?
Do your own damn research! ... It's a Greymon, Adult level. Vaccine type.
Same type, same level... Down to ability, then. Good enough for me. Hey, little girl, get out of the damn way, you're going to block our experiment.

SOMETIME LATER, PROBABLY NIGHT.
[Juri and Leormon have been helping around since their arrival. They've had time to rest, but with no idea where the shelters are, it makes things a little difficult. They're ducked into an alleyway, because Leormon's breathing hard.]
Just a little more time to rest, okay?
I can go back out there.
No! Please, I... you need to think of yourself too.
[It's selfish because it's not at all what she's saying. But it does the trick.
Now if only a Vilemon wasn't descending from the other end of the alley...]

But this time he feels a bit more assured. Hanging from his belt is his D-Terminal, blaring out music. His headphones were gone, but the beat still helps him focus. And he can feel it: when he's focused. Flowing. BlackGatomon fights better. it's like the Light Puck. They are syncing. He can't fight them himself, but in a way his partner IS his psyche, he is fueling her power. He has this.
The catmon hops back from kicking a Harpymon from flight and flicks her tail at her partner. They are worn, but certainly not done yet. Chaining fights is something he's very used to]

A stray Dobermon is close to getting a pounce after Neku and BlackGatomon from the sidelines, but a recently evolved Sangloupmon just dashes and tackles the Doberman Monster to the ground. Since he's stronger, someone's dear partner is now hungry to fight just for the fun of it. The wolf just laughs at the other dog snapping at him.]
Gooootcha!
[Celestia, however, is both annoyed yet a little amused at her partner, but she really does not want to get roped into more fighting. She's tired of all of this running around, but abandoning Sangloupmon is just a death wish.
She does glance at the black cat and boy fighting not so far from them though yet keeps her distance and guard up...]

... Oh well! Either way, the duo has been going around, helping anyone in need of assistance when they can. It's definitely something of a challenge, fighting off these corrupted Digimon, but Digimon and Chosen are certain that with teamwork, they can win this!
Somewhere in the middle of going back and forth looking for anyone in trouble, Palmon has Digivolved to Sunflowmon, which... definitely makes things a little easier, when it's not Rookie vs. Champion. Right now, they're fighting a Ponchomon; Sunflowmon does most of the work, but Meruru can't say she didn't try whacking it with her staff a few times. She had a bomb or two she had in her bag when she first arrived, sure! But... it'd be too dangerous to use it in the city, and she'd rather hold onto it since she can't synthesize another.]

[ Here's Misha, finishing another quick round of the city to survey for damages and largest threats from the back of her partner, Thelma. She doesn't seem overly stressed, so much as in some sort of calm and focused zone to counteract the chaos around them. ]
Looks like this guy doesn't want to go down.
That was going to be my line, Misha...

Day 1 | Inside the Meeting Hall -> Outside | to Maya
[Hyokomon had rather bossily called the shots, once the invading Digimon got there. She'd told Maya to stay inside and if Cam let one thing at all happen to her, well.
She hadn't really filled in the rest, he could use his imagination though. On that front, they were thinking the same.
That's how Cam and Maya end up not out in the city, but inside, in the living area of Cam's apartment, while Hyokomon is out fighting and Lucette is grumbling on the couch.]
...And I want to keep you both safe as much as she does, but without her partner, she's not going to be as strong as she could be! And Campbell, I don't want you getting hurt, but we can certainly help, at least help that stubborn little chicken!
[She's been going on like this for the last fifteen minutes. Cam's starting to tune it out.]
