What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo ~~again~~.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Digimon you will be fighting!]]

[Kovu's seen much weirder, so it's not really bugging him too much. He's also too busy being confused.]

[Juri sighs and puts her hand down, finally pouting.]

It's pretend! And little kids love them. My younger brother, he goes wild about it. It's fun to play like you're something else, or just to make your voice sound different and become another person.

...Pretend? Is that what that means?

["Pretending" was something he'd...really never done. But it sounded way too close to the lies he told to get close to Simba.]

What Kovu, you never played pretend before?

I never played at all.

[Lopmon doesn't even know how to respond to that. Kovu seems pretty old...]

[Juri's got the same thinking... But she knows that sometimes people do things differently growing up, at least she knows from Ruki.]

Have you ever wanted to be a super hero? My friend Takato, before he got Guilmon, always daydreamed about having a real Digimon. It's taking what you want and pretending you have it.

[She raises the puppet.]

Or giving it to someone else.

...A superhero?

[Kovu knows what a hero is, but he's never heard of a "super" one. He makes a face...it's starting to get really frustrating not knowing what anyone's talking about. Especially when Lopmon isn't helping anything.]

Oh... I guess lions don't have superheroes... Um, think of a lion that can fly, or break through rocks with a leap or bound! A hero that's more extraordinary than normal!

[As she says this, she punctuates it with moving the puppet back and forth.]

...That's...weird.

You're a lion in the body of a human partnered up with a tiny talking rabbit in another world entirely that's made up of data, and this is weird?

All of it's weird!

Well, this is probably the least weird part, so you could try getting used to it first?

[Kovu growls a little, but rolls his shoulders to try to relax a bit.]

Fine...I'll try.

[That brightens her up.] Good. Don't worry, we'll get you used to everything here sooner or later.

[Why is she saying we.]

[He sighs and shakes his head.]

Just wish it wasn't taking so long.

Just take it one step at a time. New worlds are weird, but try to go with the flow.

You say it like you've done this before.

That's because I have. In the Digital World back home.

Was it the same that time?

Not really... We chose to go there, and it wasn't like this at all. There were a few villages, but no cities.

...Great, even the people who've done this before don't know what's going on.

This Digital World is fundamentally different than the one I came from, but I believe things will fall into place, eventually.

Is that supposed to make me feel better?

[Lopmon's been pretty quiet this whole time. He still hasn't learned much about his partner, so it's a good chance to just sit and watch him.]

It only means we're all new to this, but you can adapt. I've seen children grow used to a Digital World entirely opposite their own. You have the strength of a lion, you can manage.

[All right, that does help...a little. Kovu's demeanor shifts again, and he's a bit less nervous now.

He keeps his doubts to himself for now - he's pretty sure neither of these two could help him. And there's no way he's telling Lopmon anything.]

...Lot of good that's done me.

He means you're brave. Coming from Leomon, that's the highest complement he can give.
