Hello Chosen Within the City

What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo again.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

[He's still really confused. What's the point of the thing? Is it really that fun?]

[She won't push it. She knows a lot of people don't really understand her fascination with puppets. Maybe there's a little kid here she can make laugh, though.

Or a little Digimon.]

Okay, if you insist. Listen, I found a place to rest earlier, that'd probably be better than this alley.

[Kovu still looks wary. Leaving a place like this, where they had an advantage, to go out in the open doesn't sit well with him.]

...You'd better be right.

It's quiet now. Let's hurry.

[Juri follows him as he rushes out and around the corner.]

[Kovu knows when he needs to run, and he doesn't even waste a second. Lopmon's right behind them.]

[They actually don't run into trouble on the way. The convention center is closer that it probably appeared, at late night. It looks like either the fighting's dying down or at the very least dying out.]

[Kovu breathes a sigh of relief.]

You sure we'll be safe here?

I spent time here earlier to rest up before heading back out. Don't worry! We'll be safe.

[He's still pretty on edge, but he at least relaxes a little.]

So what was that..sock-thing from before?

[Do you know how happy you've made her? Really happy. She has it out in a flash.]

[Kovu...still doesn't know how to react to this. He looks at Lopmon, who shakes his head, and then at Leormon, trying to get some indication as to what he's supposed to be doing now.]

[Aw, Kovu, it's okay. Leormon's been where you were, once. He smiles though.]

I think you should start by introducing yourself.

[It's kind of eerie probably that she's so good at throwing her voice.]

[Kovu's seen much weirder, so it's not really bugging him too much. He's also too busy being confused.]

[Juri sighs and puts her hand down, finally pouting.]

It's pretend! And little kids love them. My younger brother, he goes wild about it. It's fun to play like you're something else, or just to make your voice sound different and become another person.

...Pretend? Is that what that means?

["Pretending" was something he'd...really never done. But it sounded way too close to the lies he told to get close to Simba.]

What Kovu, you never played pretend before?

I never played at all.

[Lopmon doesn't even know how to respond to that. Kovu seems pretty old...]

[Juri's got the same thinking... But she knows that sometimes people do things differently growing up, at least she knows from Ruki.]

Have you ever wanted to be a super hero? My friend Takato, before he got Guilmon, always daydreamed about having a real Digimon. It's taking what you want and pretending you have it.

[She raises the puppet.]

Or giving it to someone else.

...A superhero?

[Kovu knows what a hero is, but he's never heard of a "super" one. He makes a face...it's starting to get really frustrating not knowing what anyone's talking about. Especially when Lopmon isn't helping anything.]

Oh... I guess lions don't have superheroes... Um, think of a lion that can fly, or break through rocks with a leap or bound! A hero that's more extraordinary than normal!

[As she says this, she punctuates it with moving the puppet back and forth.]
