Hello Chosen Within the City

What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo again.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

Hah, she said you used to be cute, Kovu! Too bad you're not a lion anymore!

[Lopmon quickly backpedals from about the fiercest glare he's seen from Kovu yet.]

[She starting to understand her mistake.] No, not like that, I-I find a lot of things cute, my friend Takato's partner, Guilmon, he's adorable! And flowers, or little kitties, or--

[Babbling. This is not what she expected to do while resting.]

[She's getting a pretty annoyed look from Kovu now. He was never much a fan of kids, or their rambling.]

[And now she looks intensely guilty. :c Guilty and rather down...

She holds a hand over her bag, where her comforting sock puppet is.] Sorry... I didn't mean to make you mad.

Aw, he's always grumpy. Don't apologize to him.

[Lopmon is again left backpedaling from a harsh glare, this time looking a bit sheepish.]

Come on Kovu, lighten up already!

[Unfortunately, the group has...a visitor. It's a growling Kunemon, emerging from the shadows. Leormon's fur instantly sticks up and he snarls.]

Juri, stay back.

[thescaronhisface]

[Lopmon jumps next to Leormon.]

Kovu, stay with her!

[Kovu whips around to snarl back at it, but after today he's learned better. A couple bruises are enough proof of that. He joins the girl, standing in front of her protectively. If either of them gets hurt right now, it's gonna be him.]

[The Kunemon opens its mouth and a string charged with electricity shoots out.

And though Kovu stands in front of Juri, she peers around him to get a good look at it, and--]

[Though he can barely hold it, in his teeth is now a large shield, which blocks the string. And Kunemon looks positively puzzled.]

[Lopmon looks pretty confused too, and so does Kovu.]

...What is that?

It's a modify card.

[Leormon lets the shield drop...right on to the confused Kunemon. It scrambles, but it's crushed and destroyed by it.

Juri lets out a sigh of relief.] We really can't keep doing that... All that battling for Alexandria tired you out earlier.

I'm fine. ...You've been practicing.

Well, of course I have. I mean, I didn't have...anyone to use them on, but it's not like I just stopped collecting.

[The dumbfounded former lion and his partner are sort of ignored.]

...Can the rest of us use those?

I don't think so...

[She turns her attention back to Kovu and Lopmon.] I already talked to someone else, I don't think your model can use them. I could back home, so that's probably why I can here.

You were already a Chosen before you got dragged here?

[lionhearted_destiny]

Well, we're called Tamers back there...[Her smile fades but a little.] And yeah, I once was.

[Leormon's paw at her foot. She takes comfort in it.]

[Kovu notices, but he doesn't want to go into anything about the worlds they were from. He finally has a place where he can forget about all of it.]

Oh.

Your name's Juri, right?

[Leormon had said it a second ago, before taking out that Kunemon.]

[lionhearted_destiny]

[She nods.] And...Kovu?

[thescaronhisface]

[He nods too.

...And now has no idea what to say.]

[lionhearted_destiny]

[...Welp. Nothing to say. It's all awkward, what do, what do...]

Ruff!

[Out comes her puppet. Ventriloquism is go.]

You don't have to be awkward, Kovu! Juri's very good friends with people who don't know how to make conversation!

[Ahhh, the puppet. Leormon...smiles fondly.]

[Kovu blinks.]

Wh-what is that thing?

Ruff!

[And then she lowers her hand.]

A sock-puppet!

[And back up.]

Juri likes to bring me out sometimes to help talk with other people!

A...what?

[He tilts his head, trying to get a better look at the thing.]

Right, a lion probably wouldn't know... [She slides it off her hand...] See, you put your hand in here... [...and shows him the inside of the puppet, demonstrating.]

...and you make your hand go into its mouth, and open and close it. [With her other hand, she mimes the action, so he can see clearer.]

That way, when you talk, [And here comes her puppet-voice] it looks like the puppet's speaking instead!

[She laughs again.] It helps if your lips don't move. [Which hers have not.]
