Hello Chosen Within the City

What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo again.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Digimon you will be fighting!]]

[Eden nods her head before barking at Renamon]

[Renamon data should be healing now, as the dog digimon began to charge at the charging flamin' cat.]

[He takes a glance to his friend.]

Let's make a game out of it. Whoever gets the final shot wins. There's no prize, needless to say. Unless you can think of something.

[Renamon jumps slightly, instinctively at the bark. But she turns her head, feeling the pain of her injuries sustained a week ago subside.

...Thank you, Labramon- Um. Eden?

[And she starts to run toward the creature herself, unsheathing her own claws and preparing to meet said giant flamin' cat. Needless to say, it doesn't end that well. The Armor digimon glances off both of their attacks, still charging toward the chosen. It wheels around the pair of them and their digimon in a circle, flames following it's wake.

It's pretty apparent at that point what it was doing. Chosen and Digimon are trapped with Lynxmon in that circle which is roughly the width of the road they stand on - flames preventing any form of retreat. There's nowhere to go - and slowly, the flames are closing in.

There's cars on the street, long-abandoned from the part of Tokyo the street belonged to. And even worse, the buildings at either side of the road are starting to catch fire. Lynxmon lowers it's head and roars again - a cunning fury in it's eyes as one of the cars explodes due to the heat.

Joshua braces himself, turning away from the explosion for fear of shrapnel. And he glances toward the creature, a small smile dancing at the corner of his mouth. Intimidated? Of course not. ]

....Looks like this'll be fun. Go for it, Renamon.

It's not much of a game, if there ain't any prizes, J. Even if you're just winning one back.

[The normally scared Eden is knocked down, but rushes to her feet, glaring down the cat.]

Retri-bark

[The Labramon starts to bark super-sonic waves, at the flaming armor of courage.]

Seems like they can't do much in there current forms...Can you digivolve?

It's not much of a game if we're playing for anything unimportant either. You'll just have to think of something good.

[There's a small pause, as he looks to his digivice. It's possible. Renamon, unfortunately, goes flying past him as he checks, with an almighty crash. She catches herself, thankfully, before she hits the closing wall of fire behind them - launching herself into the air.]

Diamond storm!

[And, unfortunately, the leaves she conjures burn to ash before they even get near. And, she's swatted away again - this time letting out a scream as the tip of her tail is singed. Joshua looks toward her, with concern - though his gaze lingers on the fire.]

...Well, I guess we're going to have to do this. It's getting awfully hot - It'll probably only be a few minutes before we're burned alive.

Yeah.

[And without any warning, Mr. H presses one of the buttons on his digivice.]

Labramon digivolve to LEOMON!

[The small dog changed into a giant lion...What.

But that was not all, Eden adopts a sugar stance and cocks her arm, before throwing a punch, a good distance away from the Lynxmon.]

FIST OF THE BEAST KING

[The lion head aura smashes into the opposing digimon, exploding a couple more cars.]

Guess we could bet information?

You're not sharing everything? How terrible of you.

[There's a small laugh, as he observes the lion digimon which looks a little too much like the big cat parts of a Cantus Noise form to be ignored. He raises a hand to his hair and allows himself a soft laugh, though of course it's muffled by the sound of the exploding cars. And he pushes a combination of buttons on his digivice.]

Renamon digivolve to...

Sorcermon!

[And he tilts his head as he looks at the sorceror-type creature. Of course, her wounds are fully healed again, thanks to her data being modified at the evolution. While the Lynxmon seems busy...]

Have your Leomon hold him back for a sec. Sorcermon, it'd probably be a really good idea if you put out some of the fire. Especially over here.

Assisting away! Crystal Barrage!

[Her tone's distinctly cheerful, almost alike when she was Viximon... but somewhat more mature. And! She raises her staff at the pair of them, a short distance just behind them, above the fire, seemingly opening and revealing a large, swirling vortex. Huge chunks of ice fall from it, right into the fire. But they do nothing. ]

... Joshua, from what I can conclude from the casting of this chilly cacophony of cold, full control of these colossal flames is in the hands of our frightening foe alone. Whatever would you have me do?

...Hm. Go for it, then. And good luck.

[The Sorcermon takes a few steps forward, dwarfed of course by the two titans fighting before her. But it's apparent by the glow of her staff that she's not simply observing. She's charging something big - a strange language, the digital language, coming from her.]

Leomon's probably going to have to hold it back for longer. If she gets hit, she'll have to start over. There's still some cars left. If he picks one up and tosses it at that Lynxmon...

[It'd probably sting quite a bit.]

[Mr. H shakes his head and laughs.]

Like Partner, like Digimon I suppose. Yer both lazy till the end.

You heard him Eden!

[The Lion Digimon grunts, as she uppercuts the Lynxmon, running towards the nearest car and hammer tossing it at the Flame cat.]

[And Sorcermon turns her head, as if she's willing to break her spell herself simply to take exception to that - yet Joshua merely gives her a level look. She turns back around, continuing her cast.]

That coming from the guy with the ringer for Leo? All you'd need to do is something with it's legs and spraypaint it black, and you'll have something to remind you of Minamimoto.

[Of course, to anyone else, that remark would seem sullen. Or scathing. But Joshua knows that Mr. H knows him well enough by now to know that Joshua'd hold nothing against him for the Sho... thing. Having him around, and in Taboo form was fun. Even if it'll probably involve a lot of cleanup.

The car suitably explodes, surprising, hurting, and knocking the Lynxmon back. Joshua takes a tentative look behind him. The fire's close. Way too close. He can almost smell burned hair.

Sorcermon, at this point, is finally finished. ]

Crystal Barrage!!

[A long icicle appears over her staff, ending in a long, sharp point. And she charges toward the Lynxmon, jumping over the stricken thing and plunging it downward. Indeed, the creature's impaled by the long shard, opening it's mouth toward the sky to roar in pain and fury. Obviously, it's not enough.

There's a split second later before the same dimensional tear appears, similar icicles falling from it - impaling the Lynxmon one, two, three... ten times, pinning it to the road. Yet the creature breaks free.

Joshua frowns, markedly. Obviously, Sorcermon is at a loss for words as well.]

H-how impertinent... I-Impossible...

...Sorcermon, do it.

B-but... we'll all...

[Eden moves her claws to change her music, before rushing at the Lynxmon.]

It's not like we want trash heaps here though. Amusing as he is though.

[Eden continues her assult once she reaches the Lynx based digimon, ramming her shoulder into his mouth. It bites down. Quickly twisting her body to Palm strike it. Another palm strike followed quickly by her Lion Fist attack.]

'Sides I did what I had to with him.

[Leomon gets swiped at it with the opposing digimon's claw. But the pain means nothing, as she lowers down and sweep kicks front paws, throwing it off balance. She crouches and shoryukens the beast.]

And this place is intrestin' enough as it is, don't ya think?

[The beast now has Leomon on her back, she quickly kicks him off. Grabbing him by the head, she begins to spin, hammer tossing her foe far into the air. Taking this oppetunity she draws her blade and jumps up as high as she can, wall jumps off a nearby building. She's now above her Prey.]

JAEGER

[She twists her body, spining rapidly, before making a deep cut into the neck the Lynxmon. Exhausted, she's barely able to land on a car, and collapses.]

I mean, where else would we see a scene like this?

[From the now-crushed car, a brown light emerges, and a crest in a tag-like pendant shoots out, towards Hanekoma, completely drawn to his thirsting mind.

His Crest. The Crest of Desire.]

You never know. He might get arrested for vandalism, like you were.

[Minamimoto actually turning up might not be such a bad thing, Joshua thinks to himself as he watches the lion twirl through the air with a lot more grace than what a large creature should really display. His mind would certainly be useful, especially when it came down to manipulating the code in order to find a nice, friendly wormhole back to Shibuya.

Yet he remains quite silent on that, his gaze merely darkening slightly as Hanekoma speaks. His voice is quite sullen.]

I'd prefer to go back, thanks. It's not like this place is anything to do with us.

[Of course, he sees the light. And his brows furrow. He's just about to ask what on earth that was, before he catches a glimpse of Sorcermon raising her staff again.]

Drowning Aquarius!!

[There's a large crash, and the sight and sound of the lynxmon howling as it meets more water than what it really should. The street itself is steaming from water meeting heat - the flames behind the pair dying immediately. There's no sign of the Lynxmon, other than the slight glimmer of data where it once stood.]

...I guess that means I win.

[A smile!

...Though he's rather curious about the light he saw coming from that car...]
