Hello Chosen Within the City

What: Invasion of the Digivolved Yokomon and Koromon
When: June 28-June 30
Where: All over Terminal Tokyo

Just as Ryou predicted it was only several hours later that the first wave of Yokomon and Koromon have made their appearance. Except...they're not Yokomon and Koromon anymore. It appears that they have all Digivolved into various types of Champion Digimon on the way over from Server. None of the various types of Champion seem to even blink if they're attacked. Their first and only objective seems to be to lay ruin to the city and everything in it. At first any attacks will be ignored, but if someone proceeds to continue and attack them, they will attack.

They're difficult to beat, regardless of level. These Digimon may need two people working together even at Champion level. Each Digimon are much more difficult to defeat solo than they would be normally. One thing should easily be certain before the first night is out-- if you want the city to survive then you're going to need to work together.]

[[OOC: So here's how this will work guys-- unless you need a Digimon for various reasons: playing out the first Digivolution, Dark Digivolutions, or a general battle they will be played by you. You may request a modded NPC as per usual, but depending on the number/duties you may be turned down (we'll do our best, though). Keep in mind your character will not have an easy win on their own and that humans will be virtually ineffective.

Most of the NPC Chosen will, unfortunately, have other things they're working on, but you may be able to see a couple helping to beat back the Digimon trying to destroy Terminal Tokyo again.

There's all sorts of Champion levels to fight so pick and choose: Cyclonemon, Bullmon, Golemon, Harpymon, as well as many others will appear in the city, so don't be afraid to bring in a different kind of Champion Digimon from the DMA.

Remember to mark your subject titles with date, time, and even type of Digimon you will be fighting!]]

[Kovu has had enough of running around on two legs by now. Lopmon was doing what he could, but without Digivolving to the next level there was only so much he could do.

He ducks into an alley, panting, and Lopmon dives in behind him.]

Is this how things always are here?

Not really!

[Lopmon's starting to pant too.]

[He'll find Juri; she's gotten used to hiding out in alleyways while her partner recovers! The sight of a Lopmon is somewhat familiar, even though she didn't have much time to meet little Xiaochung's partner.]

A-are you resting too?

[Kovu looks down at the little girl, surprised at first. His lion body would've had no trouble detecting her, but this human nose was no good.]

You have to ask?

[He barely gets the sentence out in one breath.]

[Leormon sits up, looking around.] You need to pace yourself. This is a difficult task we've been asked to do.

[His voice might just sound a little odd, coming from that tiny body, but oh well.]

[The voice is a bit weird, but that's not what has Kovu intrigued.]

Wait...you're a lion cub.

[Someone's a little cranky and despite the circumstances, Juri can't help but laugh.]

I am not a cub. I'll have you know in my normal form, I stand twice the size of you.

Leomon, stop. [He's not supposed to get that grumpy...oops. He might have a little pride, it's his nature as a lion.]

...Sure.

[He looks at the girl.]

How did you get a lion when I ended up with a rabbit? I was a lion.

A lion?! You... were a lion?

Yeah. Until I came here, anyway.

[Excuse her. She's eleven.]

[...Leormon clears his throat.

Juri blushes.]

Th-that's really cool.

[Kovu looks at Leormon, then back at her.

Lopmon, meanwhile, is solidly pouting.]

Really! It is! [She looks at Leormon with a smile.] As for getting Leomon, I... I guess I just lucky.

I was surely destined to have Juri as my partner.

[LEORMON STOP YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE THE GIRL CRY.]

What's so great about lions? Someone else said it was an honor to meet me...

I like lions! They're strong and powerful, and not to mention cute.

Yeah! Big, blowing manes, paws, cute little tails--

I think you're making him uncomfortable.

[A look. Leormon's been there, man.]

["Uncomfortable" doesn't begin to describe it.]

Hah, she said you used to be cute, Kovu! Too bad you're not a lion anymore!

[Lopmon quickly backpedals from about the fiercest glare he's seen from Kovu yet.]

[lionhearted_destiny]

[She starting to understand her mistake.] No, not like that, I-I find a lot of things cute, my friend Takato's partner, Guilmon, he's adorable! And flowers, or little kitties, or--

[Babbling. This is not what she expected to do while resting.]

[She's getting a pretty annoyed look from Kovu now. He was never much a fan of kids, or their rambling.]

[And now she looks intensely guilty. :c Guilty and rather down...

She holds a hand over her bag, where her comforting sock puppet is.] Sorry... I didn't mean to make you mad.

Aw, he's always grumpy. Don't apologize to him.

[Lopmon is again left backpedaling from a harsh glare, this time looking a bit sheepish.]

Come on Kovu, lighten up already!

[Unfortunately, the group has...a visitor. It's a growling Kunemon, emerging from the shadows. Leormon's fur instantly sticks up and he snarls.]

Juri, stay back.

[thescaronhisface]

[Lopmon jumps next to Leormon.]

Kovu, stay with her!

[Kovu whips around to snarl back at it, but after today he's learned better. A couple bruises are enough proof of that. He joins the girl, standing in front of her protectively. If either of them gets hurt right now, it's gonna be him.]

[The Kunemon opens its mouth and a string charged with electricity shoots out.

And though Kovu stands in front of Juri, she peers around him to get a good look at it, and--]
