By now, the Digimon outside are fewer, but inside the Castle, they’re still many. The Chosen have fought hard, with some falling to injury or their own darkness, but the battle isn’t over.

In fact, as the sides are either filled with holes or wide open, it looks like the real battles are just beginning.


((OOC: This is the last part of the siege! The order will go a little differently because of something that will happen on Day 9. Additionally, the last few days will be organized differently as well, so please read everything carefully! In this log, there will be a few special attacks and events occurring throughout, that we will mark. Remember to request an NPC if you’d like to do battle against one, or if you approve, you can also mark at the start of your thread that you’re okay with us sending an NPC in at some point.))

DAY 9

[This day, Sakuyamon is going around, trying to destroy as many outside Digimon as possible. She’ll be zipping from one area to another, back and forth...and she has been since before sun-up. Expect to see her around, but she won’t stay in one place for long, once her opponents are defeated.]

NORTH SIDE

[A BlackWargreymon has been dutifully keeping this area mostly clean, but the Digimon continue to pour out of the former gates, angrier and angrier. Hopefully he can keep it up, but he might need help.]

[Even though the Digimon he's been battling aren't nearly as strong as he is, BlackWargreymon has been fighting for three days without rest. His body can take a great deal of punishment, but this is pushing his limits. Wounds that appeared on the second day of fighting have now grown. Some, even, have damaged him severely enough that his core can be seen: shiny, black, and certainly nothing like any of the Digimon the Chosen have encountered.

Yet, despite his injuries, he continues battling, tirelessly keeping his promise to himself that none of these Digimon would bring harm to any Chosen. He owes those two girls that much, at least, for not arriving quickly enough.]

WEST SIDE

[A hole large enough to climb through, easily the least damaged side of the Castle but also the easiest to get inside. If you mop up the remaining Digimon outside, getting in should be easy.]

SOUTH SIDE

[A huge battle went on here yesterday. As a result, the south side is burned and charged, and the inside of the Castle is visible, leading into a bunch of hallways.]

The Digimon here seem quietly stalking about, alert in whatever way they can be. They’re watching and waiting, for something...

Maybe for the Digimon who completely decimated this area yesterday.]

EAST SIDE

[There’s the most infighting on this side, but there’s also still a Kimeramon-sized hole from a few days prior. A good way to get inside, perhaps. For the first time, the inside can be clearly seen: a dining hall.]

[He's been nowhere around base camp for the last 'since the fighting starting,' so it may prove as no surprise that he came back last night bloodied and beat up. At this points his wounds have been bound again, and he's not moving from where he's resting. If you wander in while he's awake, he's staring at the ceiling. If you wander in while he's sleeping, then you can draw on his face or something if you really want to, idk.]

DAY 10

[Sakuyamon’s siege, along with help from Taiki, have almost completely wiped out the Digimon outside. Sakuyamon herself is exhausted and unable to help. If the Chosen want to make any progress, a rest day will have to be delayed until tomorrow. There’s no time to rest right now.]

NORTH SIDE

[The gates are literally gone, and for the first time, no Digimon are piling out of the hole where they used to be.

If Chosen should enter, they’ll find an entrance hall. It’s large, and the ceiling is high.

Strangely enough? The area is incredibly quiet.]

[[ooc: There will be a Boss Event in this thread, of a Mega level! We will take three-five characters for this, and keep in mind if you participate in this thread, you should likely leave the other big fight for other players. I (Ashley) will enter with the boss after a few players have tagged, and others can enter until five have been reached.]

[It's not quiet for much longer, though. From deeper in the Castle, black and white light shines, and a light chuckle echoes off the walls. There are no footsteps, because the figure making them is flying, and soon, it's in the entrance hall.

A Lotusmon, swinging her Caduceus, emerges, looking about the hall. Notably, the vacant, dazed, mindless look, the savage nature -- it's missing. This Digimon is not like the others.]

Mmmm. How nice. Or, I guess it was. A shame the previous owner didn't keep better care of his Castle. Master will have to fix it up...

WEST SIDE

[Inside, there is chattering, from hallways. There’s far too many Digimon in them. Looks like a little clean-up is required.]

SOUTH SIDE

[The charred area is of less interest to the Digimon now. Maybe you can get into the hallways inside. Maybe.]]

[ This castle is of significant interest to Rin and while she much rather stay hidden to work on cracking the D-Terminal to suit her needs, the temptation to infiltrate it has called her onto the field of battle. Not that she's in the most suitable moods for it; doubt plagues at her mind and if there's anything that can be considered a weakness to her, it's that. ]

Lunamon. [ In the middle of a scorched area, she calls to her partner. ]

Um, hello Rin... Was there something I can help you with?

[ Always so helpful; a shame no one else was. Hakuno's champion was one she felt close to, but now that she's being told that 'Archer' was never a true existence. What about Lancer--was he not real to them either? Was anyone she knew in the Moon Cell real? ]

I was thinking... I want to test a theory of mine, something I've heard about while spying on people.

Don't you think listening in on other's conversations is wrong?

[ The look Rin gives Lunamon at that might be amusing if she wasn't partially in despair at her entire sense of things being wrong. ]

Its going to happen anyway, don't you think? This sort of thing is inevitable and besides, I want this entire castle for myself. Well, let me say it now. Whatever happens just happens and right now you're the only thing I'm sure of. Take pride in that and hold your head up high. You're my partner and I'm tired of seeing you act as though you're a baby.

[ What kind of 'final fight' speech is this? Rin's focused on herself and her goals, so much that she's unaware of anyone else who may be approaching to ruin it. ]

[Rest is required. With the Castle’s exterior fully cleaned out, and the flow of Digimon turning into streams and trickles, the next few days look like they’ll be the big, final push.]

[Roaring comes from inside the Castle. Sounds like Kimeramon. The Chosen need to get inside, and they need to get inside fast. The front gate is now not an option, as Digimon have consolidated there. The south side is also swarming, unfortunately.

To do this, they’ll need to focus on a fewer points.]

[By far, the quietest side. Climbing through the hole in the wall will lead the Chosen into a labyrinth-like set of hallways. Now that it’s quieted down, moans and screams can be heard, unlike the familiar growls. They echo off the walls, so it’s impossible to tell just where they’re coming from...or if they’re just coming from everywhere.

Go carefully, Chosen. But go fast.]

[ great. just what Sora and Ryudamon need. puzzles. maybe crawling into this entrance instead of the one that they had been fighting for is a mistake. as they give each other a look, it's already decided that there's no turning back.

thankfully the sounds coming from inside don't bother Sora. stay in Halloween Town long enough and that just become background noise. maybe the source is on the other side of the walls. could be someone that needs help. maybe it's nothing.

but what both digimon and partner can agree upon is that they have to move and move now. Sora let's his hand hover next to the wall and starts to run. there's that trick about keeping a hand on the wall at all times, right?

EAST SIDE

[Looks like the dining hall is quieter today. It’s the perfect entrance point, and if you go fast, maybe you can get into the heart of the Castle. There are less screams on this side, but a dull, static-like call can be faintly heard, muffled by the doors. Do you want to investigate?

[That's a funny sound... Being the curious sort, Guilmon follows the noise, scurrying over to the doors and giving 'em a good push. This probably isn't the brightest idea, but they have to start somewhere! Besides, it's already been a rough rumble.]

DAY 13

[At sunrise, the roof of the Castle bursts open, and the ZeedMilleniummon statue a top it is shattered and replaced by a very living Kimeramon, the same one from the last week. It’s rioting. And worse? It’s setting its sights on the cave. It fires off a few attacks into the distance, ones that keep getting closer. And closer. Someone’s going to need to fly up to the roof and stop it, or get it down from the top of the Castle, or distract it, before it hits the cave where all the injured and resting are.

No time for infiltration today, Chosen.]
