Who: Everyone taking part in the Adventure Time! Event.
What: Chosen trying to find their way around the changed File Island.
When: August 1st - 3rd
Where: File Island

Early in the morning, wherever they are, Chosen are tormented by data streams. They aren't very accurate data stream, so they may miss. But they ones who are hit by them will find themselves on some part of File Island, and they'll find themselves closed off from the outside world.

They'll find video and audio recordings don't work. They'll find, if they've been to the island, that some places may not appear like they always have. They'll find that this isn't quite the File Island as it was before.

Wherever they are on the island, whoever they run into, something will be constant: their digivices will blink, pointing them like a compass toward File Island's center, Infinity Mountain.

It's time to go and see what that's about.

[ooc: This will be the catch-all log for the event! Below will be threads of all the places, both basic and specific, that your characters will be able to go. The last thread will be for the Infinity Mountain event endgame, and though your characters can arrive there early, it will take place on day three of the event.

NPCs will drift through the threads, depending on where you are. For the purposes of this event, if you are not okay with NPC interaction, please say so in your thread, for example if you and someone else have a non-NPC thread idea. Otherwise, all threads are open to NPC intervention, though not all will receive it. Please also mark which day your threads take place on. And remember, have fun! The map and the ooc info can help with location issues.]

Y...yeah.

[His human body feels awkward now more than ever. He's shifting around anxiously, and even while standing couldn't possibly look less comfortable. All the cuts and scrapes on him aren't helping any, either.]

[Leomon studies Kovu for a moment, before suddenly asking.]

You seem....troubled. Is there something you wish to talk about?

What's the point?

[Lopmon's been a little worried about his partner this entire time because of how moody he always is, but...now that he's seeing Kovu like this, he almost wishes he could give him a hug.]

Kovu...

[chimons]

The point would be to express whatever insecurities you are feeling so I may offer you some advice. I feel as if you were to get advice from any other Digimon, it would be from me.

[Because of reasons, of course.]

[thescaronhisface]

Why? Because you're a lion?

[Not only does Kovu sound unconvinced...he sounds almost venomous.]

[chimons]

Yes.

[Leomon's bluntness isn't to be harsh- it's because that's genuinely why he feels even more strongly about wanting to help this young boy. He figured having a kindred spirit would help him feel better, at least...but the sound of his voice is telling him otherwise.]

Not helping.

[chimons]

Well what would you wish for me to do, then?

[thescaronhisface]

[...Right. Leomon really is trying to help.]

I don't know. I spent my whole life thinking the only thing I was good for was killing the King. How am I supposed to save anyone?

[Lopmon can't even think of what to say. The way Kovu's talking, it's like he really did kill the King...but he couldn't have...right?]

But you'd never do that, Kovu!

[chimons]

Kovu....I once knew a Digidestined a lot like you. His path was heavily dictated by the actions of those around him, and he was helpless to do anything about it. He was young, but he was smart. He knew that something wasn't adding up, and he was determined to figure out what his purpose here was meant to be.

What he learned was that nobody can tell you who or what you are. That is for you, and you alone, to decide.

[Kovu can't even say anything. Ever since he was a cub, the only path he'd ever had was being Scar's heir. That was all anyone ever cared about. He could never just be "Kovu," he was the Chosen One, we was the one who'd take over the Pride Lands...and not even for himself. It was all for Zira. That was what she wanted. The only one who ever cared about him...was Kiara.]

I...I don't even know where to start...

[He breathes out slowly.]

I know I have to try, but...

[Lopmon limps over to Kovu, and puts a paw against his leg.]

You don't have to do it alone, Kovu. I'm your partner, and I'm not going anywhere.

[chimons]

Lopmon is right, Kovu. You might feel like you're alone, and it might seem that way...but you never really are. You have more friends here than you might realize.

It's not going to be easy, but it won't be impossible. You don't have to know where to begin. The thing to focus on is taking the first step.

[thescaronhisface]

[Kovu instinctively flinches when Lopmon touches him, hearing Leomon's words. "Friends..." That's what Donnie and Marley are, right? And Beastboy...he wasn't in control of himself at all, and Kovu had still freaked out and attacked him.

Lopmon hesitates for a moment, then puts his paw on Kovu again, and speaks more firmly than before.]

I'm not going anywhere.

[Kovu still recoils, but less this time, and then he tries to relax. He looks back up to Leomon.]

[chimons]

[Leomon just nods sagely, crouching down to one knee so he can be a bit closer to the pair.]

Everything will work out, so long as you keep your friends by your side. They will keep you strong, no matter what happens here.

[thescaronhisface]

Wh-why? I just told you I-

Doesn't that matter?

[chimons]

What happened is in the past. Why should I be concerned with that, if you're willing to go through the effort of making a change?

[thescaronhisface]

Because...that's all anyone ever cared about.

[chimons]

I can promise you that doesn't matter here, Kovu. All of us have rocky pasts, presents, and futures. It's not something you can help or change now, so it's best not to dwell on it.

[thescaronhisface]

But I-

Kovu, cheer up already. Who cares what you used to be like, or what everyone thought back there? If they were that bad, why not forget about 'em?

[chimons]

Sometimes that is easier said than done. I can understand being unable to forget your past transgressions, but that doesn't mean you can't rise above them, and learn from them.

[thescaronhisface]

[Kovu isn't even sure what to say now. He wants to argue, but he'd just be repeating himself. So he just stands there, looking at Leomon, not sure if he's angry, scared...or just depressed.]

[chimons]

[Leomon leans back on his heels with a sigh.]

It seems like right now, the best place for you to be is with your friends by your side.

[thescaronhisface]

Then I...should get back to them.

[He's still lost. He might even be feeling more lost now than he did before.]

[chimons]

[Leomon nods.]

If you think you might need an escort, I'd be more than willing to help. Otherwise...well, you know where to find me.

N-no. I'll be fine with Lopmon.

[He looks down at his partner, not at all unaware of the state Leomon left both of them in. If they got into another fight...it'd probably be over.]
