Janken, janken! [She's all pumped up now!] One, two, three!

[Rock for Sonata.]

[And Scissors for Ed.]

...Um...

What does that mean?

[marinebiting]

It means...we're going nowhere.

I told you to throw rock!

[He'd suggest they duel over it but he's pretty sure that girl over there doesn't even know what Duel Monsters is.]

Why don't all three of us just toss the damn thing in?

[sonati]

[It's.

Debatable.]

We should have a rematch! A rematch! [AKB48 takes janken seriously, man.]

Why don't we just go with his suggestion?

[adventuremons]

[Maybe it's the sound of the bickering, maybe the three of them are too close.

Either way, an IceDevimon forms from the Dark Field, lashing out at the group with its large claws.]

[ooc: Another person can join in as things go on, of course! I wanted to get the ball rolling on this, though.]

[fuhrinkaed]

[Well, I dunno about the rest of you but that certainly interrupted my train of thought.]

Wuhoh. Guilmon! [Ed runs to get out of the way of those claws. Meanwhile... behold, the light of DIGIVOLUTION!]

Right! Guilmon, digivolve geko...! KYUBIMON! The flame of balance!

[The digimon fans out her tails and growls at the IceDevimon.]

Fool... you know not who you stand before. I am an agent of the red heart, wielder of powers insurmountable and unimaginable! Your icy darkness holds no power here!

Kyubimon, I don't think he's impressed!

[marinebiting]

[They were so close to reaching a decision too.]

That thing has impeccable timing.

[And he points at IceDevimon like the huge card loser he is.]

Go! The Chilling Growl of Winter!

[From behind him, Gotsumon digivolves and leaps forward to place herself between him and the IceDevimon]

Garurumon!

[sonati]

[Nooo she wanted a rematchhhh.

Oh well. While Kyubimon and Shark have their cool catchphrases, Sonata stares expectantly at Penguinmon, who sighs and digivolves to Gatomon.]

You could use your words and ask, you know.

[adventuremons]

[The larger two Digimon are the IceDevimon's focus. It releases a barrage of icicles from its wings, its Avalanche Claw.]

[fuhrinkaed]

[Kyubimon fans out her tails, the lot of them catching on fire.]

Foolish beast! You cannot hold a candle to-

[A shard of ice lands dangerously close to Kyubimon, who simply fire her flames at the attack instead of continuing to talk.]

Fox-tail inferno!

[marinebiting]

[Garurumon joins in to repel the icicles]

Howling Blaster!

[Pah, when it comes to wielding ice, she belies she is far superior to the frozen devil. Shark pats Garurumon on the shoulder.]

Do you really think you can win against the three of us? Do all of us a favor and go back where you came from.

[sonati]

Cat's Eye Hypnotism!

We're gonna beat you and get the data! [And get ice cream!! Ed she is expecting you to deliver after this is done with.]

[adventuremons]

[The first two attacks take care of the icicles, while Gatomon's stops the IceDevimon cold! (No pun intended.)

And for the moment at least, for some quick individual, looks like they can run up to the Dark Field and start the data gathering process...]

[fuhrinkaed]

Now, contractor! Let us dash into the fray and complte our mission while it is distracted!

[Ed is about to hop on Kyubimon when he realizes...]

Wait, I wasn't carrying the device! [He looks at the other two.] Who has it?!

[marinebiting]

Don't look at me, I thought she was supposed to be carrying it!

[Oh god he can already see where this is going.]

[sonati]

Huh? But Sonata gave it to Slowpoke to hold, I think...

[adventuremons]

[...And IceDevimon shakes off the attack and swings a Frozen Claw at Kyubimon!]

[fuhrinkaed]

Slowpoke?! Who's slowpoke?!

[Kyubimon bolts as the attack comes, running away from the IceDevimon and back towards the chosen (LIKE THE BRAVEST OF CREATURES!!). She can hear their argument, and something seems to be a problem.]

Contractor, need I remind you we are on a battlefield? FOCUS.

We have other problems!

Then resolve them swiftly!

[marinebiting]

Then I'll go back for it.

[He would send Garurumon, but it's likely she'll be needed to keep the IceDevimon at bay.]

Garurumon! Don't you dare give up any ground! You can handle something as simple as that, can't you?

If you have time to talk, you have time to run!

[Garurumon leaps for IceDevimon, intending to clamp her jaws on its arm. At the same time, Shark turns around and starts to sprint back the way they came.]

[sonati]

Don't you dare start pinning the blame on me- I told you to hold onto it yourself! [This is really not the time to argue.]

Sonata will go, too!

[adventuremons]

[Paying no heed to those leaving, IceDevimon attempts to shake off Garurumon, to no avail. In response, it fires a Tundra Freeze to freeze her solid.]

[fuhrinkaed]

Alright then... we'll go find the machine we need.

You guys hold him off, okay Kyubimon?

Fear not, contract holder... while I draw breath none shall pass beyond this spot. No devil may stand up to the flame of balance, chosen of the red heart after my soul was reforged in the black flames of courage.

Alright then. I'll be back as soon as I can!

[Kyubimon nods.] As quickly as you can. In the interim I shall show this beast the power of our contract!

[With a small smile, Ed runs off to go help find the machine. In the meanwhile, Kyubimon finally stares down the IceDevimon, fanning out her tails.] Pass now from this world as a disease from the body! Fox-Tail Inferno!!

[marinebiting]

[Garurumon has no time to dodge and she is frozen solid. But some of Kyubimon's flames hit her and conveniently weaken the ice enough for her to burst free.

But if Kyubimon thinks Garurumon is going to thank her, she better think again. She was confident she would have broken free herself mere seconds later. Already in close range of IceDevimon, she claws at the devil's face.

Meanwhile, as Shark runs, he tries to think back to where he last saw the device.]

Shouldn't be too far, right? We took a break before we got here and I saw it then.

[sonati]

Yeah! Sonata doesn't think it's that far away... [Though she still thinks she gave it to Gatomon to hold, that traitor.]
