[Open] A Very Kratt-y Birthday

What: Celebrating Martin Kratt's birthday!

The night before had been spent getting the decorations up for the party, with Chris and Fluttershy and anyone else who had offered to help while Martin had been sleeping, in order to keep the whole party a surprise for him.

Fluttershy could only hope that all her experiences with Pinkie Pie's parties would help her make sure this one was successful. After all Chris and Martin had done for her recently, helping make Martin's birthday a special one was the least she could do.

[He nods] So, umm... how have things been for you lately?

[He's now going to munch on his pizza and not let out that he hadn't eaten since the morning now.]

I've been doing all right...I've been keeping busy, getting things ready for the holidays.

What about you? Has your leg been getting better?

A little bit, Arte finally let me move around as long as I have crutches. [He pointed behind him, where the crutches were leaning against the back of his chair.] Other than that, I've been pretty busy getting ready for tomorrow and Christmas. Mikey and I, we're... finally going to see each other again in two days.

Oh, Donnie...that's wonderful.

[She knows how hard it's been for both of them. Knowing that they were finally going to try meeting in person, after everything...she hoped it would go well for them.]

Yeah, I think if it goes well I'll finally be... well, me again. I think I'm finally moving on from... well, what happened...

[She smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder.] I know it hasn't been easy...but I'm so happy that things are going well for you now.

Yeah... even before then I've been working things out with him and Leatherhead. I... still have some work to do with Leatherhead, but... at the very least the worst of it is over. I'm just glad that all of this is almost over.

[She nodded.] I'm sure you guys will be able to work things out. It just might take a little more time...

I really hope so. I just... want Mikey to be happy again, He's acting like himself, but I know that he's more upset than he's letting on. After Christmas, I'm going to try and get him to open up and help him as much as I can. I mean... he's my brother, I need to help him somehow.

I think he's just been missing his brother. You're the only family he has here, and not having you around has been...difficult for him. Even with all the new friends he's made...he still needs you.

Maybe... [Sighs] I doubt he needs me for anything anymore, but... I'll still try to help him. It's the least I can do...

Donnie...Mikey could have millions of friends, but you're always going to be his brother. And he'll always need you somehow. Maybe not in the most obvious ways...but he will.

I guess so... I'm sorry, I shouldn't be bugging you with my problems like this, especially not now.

[She sighs with a small smile.] Donnie...you're my friend. You know you can talk to me whenever you need to.

Besides, I couldn't enjoy myself at the party knowing something was bothering you.

I know, you've been helping me with all of my problems since the day we met. And I've never done anything to return the favor...

[He glanced down at his pocket. He had brought Fluttershy's Christmas gift with him. Maybe now was a good time to give it to her...]

That's not true...You've helped me in a lot of ways, Donnie.

If you say so, but I still feel like I could have done more. So... I think now might be a good time to give you this.

[He reached into his pocket, pulling out a pink-colored boy with a yellow ribbon around it.]

I know it's two days early, but... it's your Christmas gift. So ugh... Merry Christmas, or... whateve rit is that you celebrate in your world.

[He's just going to smile sheepishly now.]

Oh...!

[She gently takes the box from him.]

Thank you...You didn't have to though.

Can I open it? Or should I wait?

I know I didn't have too, but I wanted too. You've been so nice it me and you've helped me so much, it was only fair that I did. Besides your my friend, that's reason enough.

Yeah, you can go ahead and open it. I hope you like it, I just finished it this morning.

[She smiled gently, then glanced at the box before carefully undoing the yellow ribbon and opening it.]

[In the box was a small metallic statue. it was the shape of a butterfly. The wings were colored pink and the body and antennas were blue. Also on the wings were a single blue jewel and there were swirls that were a glitter-colored blue.]

So, umm... d-do you like it?

[Her eyes widened as a smile grew across her face.]

Oh Donnie...it's beautiful...!

Thanks, it took me longer to finish than I expected since I broke my leg and had to quit working for a few days. But I managed to finish it in time with Arte's help. So... you really like it then?
