[Open] A Very Kratt-y Birthday

The night before had been spent getting the decorations up for the party, with Chris and Fluttershy and anyone else who had offered to help while Martin had been sleeping, in order to keep the whole party a surprise for him.

Fluttershy could only hope that all her experiences with Pinkie Pie's parties would help her make sure this one was successful. After all Chris and Martin had done for her recently, helping make Martin's birthday a special one was the least she could do.

Food Table

It wouldn't be quite a party without good food. In the cafeteria area, there was a table set up where party attendees could grab something to eat. There was certainly an assortment of things, but it is notable how many of the items on the table were chocolatey or dessert foods.

Savory dishes could always be asked for, of course, and Fluttershy or the Digimon running the kitchen would be more than happy to take care of it.

...Okay, if he's here, it's because there are a lot of sweet and chocolate-type foods over here. Seriously, you guys, how did you know these were his favorites?

[In inverse to Martin Nala is picking through things to find the savory foods, and a few times even makes rather comical faces at having put something very sweet in her mouth.]

[Despite his attitude in regards to the invitation of the party, Duo actually does show up. And where does a little orphan boy go to first when it comes to a party? 'Straight for the food,' is the correct answer.

Every once in a while, the sight of a hand can be seen reaching for some food that's been left on the edge of the table before it disappears under the table.]

[Nala, being a hunter back home, noticed the food being taken from the table and cocked her head at the action. After seeing it happen a few times she collected up a few things on a plate before crouching down and peeking under the table.]

Hello there... would you like more then what you've managed to grab?

[Seeing the small human automatically made the mother lion want to care for him, but she wasn't sure if he would be so accepting of it. Still she held out the plate towards the boy.]

Dance Floor

A section of the cafeteria area had been cleared for a dancing area, the hard floor voted to be better for it. Music was playing at a low level but when populated it could easily be turned up. It was upbeat and springy, perfect for having a good time with.

(Rainbow's all for parties and having fun, but she had just tired herself out from flying early that morning -after making sure the preparations were ready the night before- with Speedy so she was actually doing what most had thought as impossible:

She was actually sleeping, while standing up, near the dance floor. While the Pegasus enjoyed any and all parties Pinkie threw, this one had been mostly done by Fluttershy. Definitely cool by Rainbow's usual standards, but she'd try and get through a dance or two once getting some energy back.)

[Twilight had been walking around before pausing to watch people dance. She thought about joining in on it, she did enjoy dancing. But just as she stepped forward, she spotted her winged friend. She waved, but upon getitng no response, she walked over to her.]

Rainbow Dash? [She looks her over] Is she... sleeping? [Waves a hand in front of her to be for sure, then she grabs her by the shoulder to shake her gently.] Rainbow Dash, time to get up.

[Fun fact about Martin: He loves dancing. And he's not half bad at it either.

Of course, right now, he's just goofing around or play-dancing with his digimon, but don't be surprised if he tries to convince more people to get up and dance. Or pulls them on over to dance. This is Martin after all.

[Well, hello to you, too, Duo. The boy is standing at the edge of the dance floor, watching Martin dance as he munched on a snack from the buffet table.

Solarmon, it seems, has been ditched. Again. Not really all that surprising for anyone who has interacted with Duo before.]

[Mikey has no shame about dancing, and is quick to join the dance floor, he is also a very enthusiastic dancer.

He starts to dance to the rhythm of the music.]

Games Area

Another part of the meeting hall had been chosen for games, and several had been gathered. People could go ahead and play by themselves or with their group, or wait for a later gaming session to start, it was their choice. Just go nuts and have fun!

Beastboy for one, could never resist a fun game.

And more to the point it helped distract him from all the nasty junk that had been filling his head for the last month or so. He still had to sort things out with Terra and finish apologizing to people, the turtle brothers needed his help...and there was the little matter of Chili.

At the moment his two digimon were watching as he spun around faster and faster with a baton in hand preparing to take a swing at a nearby pinata.

"Careful!" Rita warned as he stumbled.

Sitting Area

Of course, even the best parties needed a place where guests could just sit; a chance to rest a moment, especially for those who aren't quite up to the big party scene.

Just outside the cafeteria and in the main lobby was an area full of chairs, arranged for people who wanted to sit for a while and maybe have some nice quiet conversations before getting back into the party fray.

[This was it, Twilight's first time going to a party as a human. She was equally excited and nervous. Excited because she was sure that ti would be fun, plus it gave her the chance to see her friends and possibly make some more. But she was also nervous because it was her first human party and while she had gotten the hang of her new body, she was still worried about messing up.

She would wait before getting into the fray, she was never comfortable getting into that kind of thing without at least one of her friends by her side. She so far hadn't seen them. She didn't know if Rarity or Rainbow Dash would be around, but she knew at least Fluttershy was here since she had planned it. So she would wait around the sitting area for now and wait until she saw someone that she recognized.]

[As one of the hosts of the party, Fluttershy had taken to walking around to make sure guests were having a good time. It's during one of these rounds that she spotted Twilight in the sitting area.]

Twilight...!

[Mikey was good at noticing people who weren't joining in with things, so he caught sight of Twilight easily. He grabbed a plate of things to eat, trying to be sure to get things that he thought a once pony would like to eat, before heading over and seating himself right next to her.]

Hi there Twilight, it's Mikey, we met over the d-terminals. Do you want something to eat?

[The teen offered her the plate to either take or take something from. He had found food was a good ice breaker with people.]

[He may be the birthday boy, but darned if he isn't going to make sure that everybody has fun and feels included at this party.

He's also been meaning to better acquaint himself with Fluttershy's friends, so when he spies Twilight in the sitting area, he's got a grin on his face as he walks over.]

Heh-hey, I remember you! Nice to see you again, Twilight!

[He hadn;t wanted to come. Well... at least for the most part he hadn't. Mainly because going to a party to a guy that he only met once with a broken leg did not sound like a good idea. But Artemisia had thought that ti would be good for him, plus after his therapy sessions he supposed that he should see if he was ready to face people in person before facing Mikey in the next two days. Plus he was gonna be busy those days, so eh wanted to give Fluttershy her Christmas present now that he had finished it.

Sadly, he couldn't do much of anything party-like with a busted leg. He would probably try later, but right now he decided to wait in the sitting area. He had left Arte to watch Paolo back at the apartment, so all he could really do was lean back in the chair and wait to see what happened. he jsut hoped that whoever came to him wasn't someone who wanted to kill him.]

[Fluttershy spotted him in one of the chairs, and hurries over.]

I'm so glad you're here...! How are you? Can I get you anything?

(Rainbow Dash had come back to the party after being gone for sometime, figuring it would be rude to just dance with Twilight and not mingle with anypony else! She sat down in one of the offered chairs...

And as Twilight predicted, fell asleep due to getting some sleep, but not quite enough. She wasn't snoring as loud as she usually was, but she'd taken up a few extra chairs for comfort.)

Before the Party

[There's lots of things to get in order for a party. The decorations, the food, the entertainment.

...There's also the matter of making sure the birthday bro comes down at the right time for his surprise.

After the Party

[After the party has simmered down a bit and some or most of the guests have gone home, it's nice to unwind a little. There's still music playing, but it's more low-key, and kept purely at a "background noise" volume.

Anybody who wants to stick around for a bit to chat or help with the clean-up is welcome to of course.]

[Hiccup....definitely isn't accustomed to big parties like this. Vikings do like to have a good time with feasts and things, but this is a whole different brand of celebration. As such, he's kept his present for Martin to himself until things have settled down a little. Maybe he'll be able to find him and give it to him before too late. Right now Fearless is riding on his shoulders, half asleep from a horrible sugar crash, with Kotemon following along at Hiccup's heels. Tucked beneath Hiccup's arm is a slightly beat-up notebook that seems to have seen a lot of use.]
