[Open] A Very Kratt-y Birthday

The night before had been spent getting the decorations up for the party, with Chris and Fluttershy and anyone else who had offered to help while Martin had been sleeping, in order to keep the whole party a surprise for him.

Fluttershy could only hope that all her experiences with Pinkie Pie's parties would help her make sure this one was successful. After all Chris and Martin had done for her recently, helping make Martin's birthday a special one was the least she could do.

...Yeah. The Doc back home said I had to keep off it for a week. It's been longer than that for you, right?

Mm...it's been almost a month now, I guess...it was a pretty bad break.

(Rainbow visibly clenches her fists for a moment or two before unclenching them.)

...A bad break that shouldn't have happened at all!

[She puts her hands on Rainbow Dash's shoulders, hoping to keep her calmed down.] R-Rainbow Dash, please...

I-It was just a bad situation. There wasn't really anything anyone could do...

(She relaxes but pouts a little, groaning in annoyance at not being able to do anything.)

...I'm glad you weren't affected by that virus, Fluttershy. Sounded like it did a number on everypony.

Mm...S-Some were...worse off than others were.

B-But at least everyone's better now...

Yeah...

(Rainbow, taking care to avoid her injured-and-still-recuperating wing, pulls Fluttershy into a hug for a few moments.

...I'm not gonna let something like this happen to you again!

[She stiffens, a bit surprised at first by the sudden embrace. But then she relaxes, her arms gently wrapping around Rainbow Dash in return.]

...I know...I'm glad you're here, Dashie.

(She holds the hug for a little while before pulling back and grinning lightly at her fillyhood friend.)

Yeah...! I'm glad you're not alone anymore, Fluttershy. I know you have a ton of non-pony friends here, but now if you need something we'll be here to help! ...A-And Trixie too, I guess.

(Part of Rainbow Dash wondered if Fluttershy had seen Trixie's recent post a week or so ago.)

[She nodded.] Mm...right...! [She felt so lucky to have so many friends with her in the city.]

I-I think Trixie will need just as much of our help, though...

Hahaha...let me guess: you ended up seeing Trixie's 'show' last week too? We're ponies alright, but this isn't Ponyville!

Y-Yeah, I did...c-catch some of that.

I-It is strange, isn't it? How quick we've gotten used to the change here?

[It's been a few months for her, but even when she first arrived, clothes were a thing she had gotten used to fairly quickly.]

'Some of that?' 'SOME of that?!' We got a double feature of her Cutie Mark, and even more! If I-we hadn't tried talking to her about it, she'd still be showing it off.

(She gives it some thought and nods, pretty used to the idea of clothes -mostly- thanks to Rarity.)

Yeah...I mean, I miss the sound of my hooves on the ground but we've still got our wings!

Y-Yeah...but that's what I mean about helping her. She's not as used to the kind of strange things we are.

[She smiles a little.] You really got the hang of flying as a human with them... [No surprise, really.] It took me a few months before I learned how to get used to this body in order to fly.

Yeah...left with her hat and cape, but not her horn...I'd be throwing haybales if I didn't have my wings!

(She laughs lightly, pulling back and taking to the air with Fluttershy as her audience; only minor tricks, like flying backward and making it look easy since they're in a building.) Hehehe, you bet! I'm already the fastest flyer back home...shouldn't be too long before I'm the fastest flyer in the Digi-!

(She made the small mistake of turning to look directly at Fluttershy, hovered a bit too long and...hits the ceiling which causes her to crash. Not too loudly, so the only thing actually heard was Rainbow 'collapsing' in a heap.)

O-Oh...! [She quickly heads over to Rainbow Dash.] A-Are you all right?

(She's crashed lots of times back in Ponyville, so after a moment or two of being loopy she shakes herself out of it.)

...Y-yeah...went too high up on that last trick, I guess...I'm okay, Fluttershy! Glad Twilight wasn't here to see that...!

[strengthinkindness]

[She smiles a bit, holding her hand out to help her up.] All right...At least you weren't going too fast. Nothing damaged?

(Quick mental check as she smiles back, taking Fluttershy's offered hand to get up: wings, working awesomely. Hands and feet, doing okay. Arms and legs, not too bad. Head, not as spinny like it was before...!) Nope! I'll be fine...it'll take a lot to hurt this Pegasus!

[She can't help laughing a little at that.] I know...though the human body does take a bit of getting used to.

(She laughs loudly herself, holding up her fingers and pulling them across both sides of her face and then up and down while making funny faces.) Yeah...! Pinkie Pie would have a blast!

[She nods.] Pinkie Pie would love it...Just think of all the games she'd want to play...

Yeah...and all the pranks we could pull...! (Except on Fluttershy; she gets a bye from pranking, a pre-set up Pinkie Pie rule.)

[She smiled a little.] You just have to be careful who you prank...not everyone here has a good sense of humor...
