[Open] A Very Kratt-y Birthday

What: Celebrating Martin Kratt's birthday!

The night before had been spent getting the decorations up for the party, with Chris and Fluttershy and anyone else who had offered to help while Martin had been sleeping, in order to keep the whole party a surprise for him.

Fluttershy could only hope that all her experiences with Pinkie Pie's parties would help her make sure this one was successful. After all Chris and Martin had done for her recently, helping make Martin's birthday a special one was the least she could do.

...Wait, seriously?! (She laughs at that one.) If he really does pull what Spike did, he might rampage all around the city collecting everything in sight!

[She shook her head.] It takes a few years. They're not considered adults until about 18 years old...

Eighteen? Doesn't seem too bad, I guess...they probably don't have wings like us or horns like Twilight and Rarity... (More a statement than a question.)

Not really, no. Actually, I learned that humans are very closely related to apes...

...Seriously? To apes?! What book did you find this in?

Actually, Chris told me. He and Martin study creatures back in their world, and he said that humans are part of the ape family.

(Rainbow's expression clearly shows she doesn't understand that reasoning at all.) ...So, we've been turned into apes who just happened to keep our wings?

In a sense, yes.

[Truth is, Fluttershy finds the whole thing interesting.]

(Cue groan, facepalm and sheepish laugh. She'd get a headache just trying to understand it. She's glad Fluttershy finds it cool.)

I'm just gonna go with 'we were turned into humans who got to keep our wings.'

Yes...It's strange, how used to being human I've become...

Heh, can you even remember what it's like to walk with hooves instead of...our feet? (She's doing her best to understand the words concerning their new appendages.)

Mm...I'm pretty sure I can...It's definitely different.

(She zips around in the area but actually maintains her focus this time and lands right back in front of Fluttershy again.)

It's super terrific and freaky! If I didn't have you guys here I'm sure I'd be freaking out.

(She'd still have her wings, so not entirely.)
