[Open] A Very Kratt-y Birthday

What: Celebrating Martin Kratt's birthday!

The night before had been spent getting the decorations up for the party, with Chris and Fluttershy and anyone else who had offered to help while Martin had been sleeping, in order to keep the whole party a surprise for him.

Fluttershy could only hope that all her experiences with Pinkie Pie's parties would help her make sure this one was successful. After all Chris and Martin had done for her recently, helping make Martin's birthday a special one was the least she could do.

[Donnie looked up when he heard the voice. Oh, it was the guy who had come with Fluttershy to give him back Paolo. Well... he should at least try to not act all awkward now.]

Oh, um... hey ugh... Martin, right?

Yep, that's me.

[If this is awkward, Martin at least doesn't seem to be affected by it.]

H'I can't believe Fluttershy helped organize all this.

[Best surprise ever.]

Umm... yeah, so far. It's been... nice.

[He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. He really wasn't sure what to say, stupid social awkwardness. But at least the guy didn't seem to hate him, which was good.]

That's good.

[He smiles, and briefly shifts his gaze to Donnie's injured leg, raising an eyebrow.]

Got that while helping with the clean-up, huh?

[He'd seen something on the network about it, but he didn't recognize the digimon making the announcement and there was always that odd chance there was more than one Donnie.]

[Sighs] Yeah, I got distracted by one of my Digimon, Paolo, which was the one in the egg that Fluttershy gave me that day. I was on a ladder, didn't look where I was going, and... well, this happened.

[He's just going to glare at the cast now.]

Ouch.

[He gives him a sympathetic wince.]

Yeah-heh, was a little worried people might get hurt during the clean-up. Especially some of the kids.

[It still strikes him as odd, and frankly mildly dangerous, to see kids helping with major reconstruction efforts but he lets that be.]

'Course, Chris did a small number on his arm halfway through the re-building.

[He shakes his head, snickering a little, and then glances aside at Donnie.]

Want a cookie?

[Here have a non-sequitur plate of cookies in front of your face, Donnie.]

[Oh if only Martin knew, the construction that Donnie was doign was child's play to him. Had he not gotten distracted, he'd have had no problems whatsoever.]

Well... at least I wasn't the only one.

[Then when the cookie plate appears suddenly in his face, le leans back slightly in surprise. Still, eh straightens and takes one.]

Umm... sure, thanks.

[He smiles and pulls the plate back once Donnie takes one, taking another for himself as well.]

Y'r welc'me.

[While munching that, he looks thoughtfully towards more of the party, as if considering something, before he swallows and glances at Donnie.]

Hey, if you're feeling up to it, h'I was thinking of getting a game or two started in a little bit?

[He'd like to see all the party guests have some fun. And he's not sure Donnie can have any sitting out here, especially with a broken leg.]

[He thought it over. He wasn't sure if he was willing to play any games right now. But then again, sitting and moping was doing nothing before him. Besides it would be rude...]

Well... I guess it wouldn't hurt. So... yeah I'm up for that.

[He hoped]

[He grins a little.]

So I was thinkin' either a card game...maybe something anybody could pick up like Rummy or Go Fish, considering some of the kids here. Hah'or some rounds of Pictionary.
