What: The giving of the D-Streams

When: December 25th, 2013, morning

At the stroke of midnight on December 25th, every Chosen and their partners fall asleep wherever they are, with nothing able to wake them. They won't stay there all night, however. Bright and early, as if turned on by a switch, the Chosen will awaken in their beds to find their Digivices missing. The individual Digimon -- those without rooms, brought in like the Chosen -- similarly fall into slumber or stasis, waking where the stand in the morning in the morning.

They will all wake up with a note in their rooms, written in beautiful script. "Come to Roaming Park," it says. There's some kind of noise outside. Something drawing everyone out. Noticeable first is the fall of snow, so far absent from Terminal Tokyo. It covers, among everything else, Roaming Park, where on a bench there sits a Venusmon, with a very large sack. Around her are tables full of all sorts of food, and Digimon there both partaking in it and setting up more. It's a whole feast, not spoiled by the weather, but enhanced by it.

[ooc: Below there will be a thread to interact with Venusmon, where she will answer some questions and give out the D-Streams. Every non-canon Digimon character will receive a D-Stream, whether they see her or not. At the end of the day, they will appear in the Chosen's hands. This can also be used to generally mingle with each other and enjoy the snow.]

At some point, little Sophia wanders over to Whirl, a small frown on her face.

"You're going to get sick, Whirl," she reprimands. "You gotta wear something warm."

There is a slight grunt from Whirl, give him a moment to fully register that someone he somewhat likes is speaking to him.

"... It's cold out?" he responds, tilting his head to one side while grinning a little. "Couldn't tell, Sophia."

Sophia raises her head high and turns it to the side, her mouth in an over-elaborate pout. "I'm just trying to be nice, you don't have to tease."

She's not taking it personally, though. That much is clear.

"I don't think she knows how to tease." Oh hey, it's a Gotsumon who has made his way to stand beside Whirl. The Gotsumon has a bag on it's back too.

Whirl just snorts and swats the digimon on the head.

"Eh, don't worry about me, little lady," Whirl speaks for himself. "Worry about yourself."

"Another one!" Sophia's distracted easily. She walks up to Gotsumon, as she hasn't seen a Gotusmon yet. "You've got two, like Sora does. And you look like a rock person!"

Rotorstorm manages to puff up his chest.

"Gotsumon, but she's named me Rotorstorm." The she mentioned being Whirl. "And I'm her real digimon partner."

Whirl snorts at that, he didn't actually consider one digimon more real than the other. But he certainly didn't like Rotorstorm that much.

Sophia frowns at Rotorstorm and crosses her arms. "That's mean. Jetstream's real too. I was told all the Digimon are real partners."

"Hey I ain't the one who was made from a virus, kiddo," Rotorstorm looks like he's going to get started, but thankfully Whirl is tired of the bullshit and kicks the digimon.

In the head.

It seems Whirl's kick helps, but Sophia still grumbles under her breath, "then why don't you give her medicine?"

Viruses need medicine, don't they?

Commandramon clears his voice. "Sophia! Don't you have something to give to Whirl...?"

Oh! She does! Her face brightens.

Whirl would probably say something sarcastic to Sophia's mumblings, but he's a bit too focused on kicking Rotorstorm a bit more. But he does stop when Commandramon clears his throat.

"... What." Why are people giving him things. It doesn't make any sense.

From a tiny backpack, Sophia pulls out a drawing, one of Whirl and Sophia in their dresses they bought a few days ago. Whirl even has his pretty eye-patch. Sophia, in the picture, is smiling widely, and Whirl is...sort of smiling. The picture's drawn in crayon, and Jetstream and a very-poorly-drawn Commandramon are in the background.

"'m sorry I didn't know about your rockmon, I would've put him in too," she says regretfully. "Merry Christmas, Whirl, thanks for being my friend!"

Whirl takes the picture, very carefully as if he's afraid he met wreck it. The reminder of the dress gets a little frown, but it's gone pretty quickly. He's about to say something about how he didn't get her anything but... Rotorstorm speaks up.

"That's okay, girl stuff ain't my thing," the Gotsumon is grinning as he slides the bag off his back and opens it. Pulling out a small wrapped box. "And hey Whirl got you a gift too."

Whirl almost, almost says that no he didn't but Jetstream has come over to see what is up and she's got a sly grin on her face. He's just, narrowing his eye a bit at that. Kinda figuring out why there is a gift at all.

Also enjoy the gift, Sophia because it's s small assortment of various candies inside that wrapped up box.

A gift. A gift. Sophia honestly hasn't expected anything, so she gasps and grins and snatches up the box, ripping off the wrapping paper with gusto and staring inside with stars in her eyes.

"A real, real Christmas gift!" She cries. It's been two Christmases without one, back when she was five. Before the walkers, before the dead. Before her original mommy and daddy died. This means more to her than Whirl could possibly know.

Her eyes filled with tiny tears, she hurries over and hugs Whirl.

When Sophia hugs Whirl there is this sudden... Tenseness from him. Jetstream picks up on it, but will anyone else?

Who knows although Whirl looks so so uncomfortable and like he wants to shove Sophia away. But since he likes her he doesn't, so just.

Standing stiffly as he is being hugged.

Sophia doesn't see or notice. She's too entrapped in the moment. She hugs tighter. She's short, but not short enough to miss Whirl's shoulder, so she snuggles her head into it.

"Thank you! Thank you. I'm so happy." Sophia tries not to get any tears on Whirl's shoulder.

"You're... welcome?" He sounds so so... Awkward and not sure he should even be saying that. How do friendship?

But he does bring a hand up to light pat Sophia's back, that's how hugs work. Totally.

Sophia doesn't mind. She holds the hug for another few seconds before pulling back and grinning, holding opening up the candy box and taking a bite of the first bit of candy she sees.

Tastes like FRIENDSHIP.

Whirl let's out a sigh of relief, he really doesn't do the whole hugging thing. And when Sophia opens the box and has some of the candy well, Whirl can't hide the slight smile on his face.

After one, two bites, Sophia holds out a piece of candy to Commandramon, who takes it with a brief thanks, and then to Whirl and his partners.

"You too!"

Jetstream will politely decline, she's not much for sweets actually and Rotorostorm well.

"Already full up, kiddo." That and can a Gotsumon eat candy? Who knows.

Of course that doesn't stop Whirl from taking the offered piece for himself and popping it right into his mouth. Because damn, next to alcohol? Candy is the best thing humans ever made.

Oh well. More for them, then! Sophia grins widely. "Candy!"

It sounds a bit muffled. She's already eating more.

"Yep, candy," Whirl can't help but actually smile a bit bigger as he nods.

Maybe he's a bit glad his stupid digimon did this, but don't tell anyone.

After a moment, Sophia swallows it all down and smiles sweetly. "This is my first Christmas gift in a long time. Thank you, Whirl."

[oneeyedterror]

"Huh well," Dangit, he's all awkward again. "This is my first Crissmus ever. So yeah."

Social skills, Whirl totally has them.

"Ever?" Color her surprised! "They don't have robot Christmas? Wow."
