Primary Village. The baby Digimon are crying, and Elecmon's rushing about in shock, trying to care for all of them.

Hikari stands among it all, holding a Digi-egg in her arms. She's quiet, and she's sad. She's waiting, though. Waiting for anyone who would come here.

What to do? Whatever she can, even if it's not much.

Hey, I just don't want to miss out on the action. This whole passive thing's not really my style, even if the enemies are overpowered gods.

[He shrugs, slipping his hands down to his hips, while XV-mon just groans.]

Hey, hey. I totally have the whole fight or flight thing down. I'm like a PhD in fightology.

Yeah right. You rushed right at Jupitermon the moment you evolved.

[At Rep's remark, her eyes widen, and she frantically shakes her head.]

Hey, don't listen to him! He's just making stuff up. Really!

[burnblonde]

Tell me about it. I miss being able to punch my way out of a situation. Girl's gotta have fun somehow...guess I'll find my kicks another way.

[Yang tilts her head.]

Uh...I think we might be talking about different flight instincts here. You're lucky you didn't get blasted...I saw it happen to a few digimon.

[Yang runs her fingers through her hair, eyes going to the ground.]

It wasn't pretty.

Hey, who says you can't still throw punches? You'll just have to pick weaker targets.

[The Replica sighs, pressing a hand against the back of his neck.]

Guess we all will, whether we like it or not.

[burnblonde]

Oh, hah, don't worry about that. I still plan on throwing down when I can.

[She even seems to get more upbeat at the mere thought of it. Like she simply can't WAIT to pick a fight.]

Worse case scenario I'll just have to go back to the days when I sparred against people moreso than monsters. It'll work out.

[darkened]

Well, if you ever need a sparring partner, I'm game. Gotta keep on our toes somehow, right?

[And at least this way he can work up to the bigger targets. Sparring with XV-mon is an option, but he knows he can't dodge lasers forever.]

[burnblonde]

Sure, if you think you can handle me Mr. Tough Guy.

[She grins at that, cocking her hip to the side and looking confident, really pleased with this turn of events.

But then she sighs and turns back to look out at the lost city.]

Guess it'll have to wait a bit though.

[darkened]

...Right.

[And just like that, the Replica's face falls, all confidence fizzling out of him in a single sigh. One of his hands slides to the side of his neck, and he winces at the empty space that used to house the city.]

We've got a long journey ahead of us. Who knows how long it'll even take us to get there?

[burnblonde]

Maybe a few days? Guess it depends on how you decide to travel or if you make any stops along the way.

[She starts to perk up.]

It'll be a good chance to see what more this world has got to offer, that's for sure.

[darkened]

Well, see, I've gotta babysit this dork friend of mine, and knowing Sora, he'll want to see everything.

[He rolls his eyes, though a smile remains on his face.]

But honestly, I was probably gonna explore sooner or later. This just gives us incentive to get out there.

[burnblonde]

Aww why do you make it sound like a chore. I think that sounds like fun.

[She can tell you don't REALLY mean that.]

Me too. Wish I had a bike to do it on...or a giant flying dragon would be cool.

[She looks down at Bearmon. She doubts he can fly so she just gives him an apologetic smile.]

Looks like it's the train for us, Honey.

[darkened]

Oh, I think you mean the coolest!

[XV-mon puffs out her chest, as if somehow that'll up her coolness tenfold. Rep shoots her a deadpan stare before his eyes fall back on Yang.]

Well, at least you won't have to worry about getting rained on. Truth is, it'd probably be smarter to take the train, but I've got this bad habit of making things hard for myself. Sora's even worse.

[burnblonde]

[Yang is kind of getting to the point where she ignores XV-mon's little comments. Instead she just looks amused and Honey, unseen, rolls his eyes.]

Guess we'll just have to compare notes after the trip is over then.

[darkened]

Ha. Guess I'll have to keep mental notes.

[He stuffs a hand into his pocket, plucking out a flashlight and his D-Stream.]

Things got so hectic back there, I didn't think to grab anything to write with. Just my sword, some spare clothes, money, and that's pretty much it.

[And, okay, maybe he snagged a pillow so he wouldn't have to use rocks, but when the whole city's getting ravaged by Mega level Digimon, you kinda have to minimize.]

You got the essentials at least.

Same here really, it wasn't like I had a lot of possessions myself anyway. Glad I didn't have enough time to save up for the bike now though. I might not have been able to get it out of the city with all of this going on.
