What: The Rescue of Taichi turns sour!
When: 24-26 April
Where: The new anomaly outside of Primary Village
The Trailmon to File Island left hours ago. Twenty-one people were aboard and split their separate ways at a terminal close to the Village. Some went to protect the young Digimon while most of the others had a mission at hand: rescuing the brave--or perhaps foolish-- Taichi Yagami.
No Digimon seems to be around as group approaches the field. It as Taichi said, too, full of bright colors and random numbers. The size isn't great, so one must wonder how a boy got lost in there. Or perhaps you're unable to think on that when you realize how still everything is.
No wind seems to pass and no sound can be heard.
Whatever's going on, it can't be normal for the Digital World either, can it?
[[OOC: So here's how this will work! We will give you guys a few rounds to get set up. This is so that you can get in your groups. During this time the Divers will also be roped up and sent on their way. For this we're going to need you guys to be a little speedy at first. Ideally, we will be putting up the Diving/Battling threads at NO LATER THAN 8:30 A.M. CST Thursday. They may go up earlier if we feel everyone is situated!
Several threads will go up then-- one for the Divers for which we will be putting our focus on (Divers, if you want to get started early since you don't have much coordinating to do let us know!).
The Digimon you will be fighting will also make their appearance! Please note it will take several hours after the Divers take their leave that the Digimon will appear. We will introduce these Digimon and explain the mechanics of their behavior, but wil not be playing them unless requested/necessary.
The Divers should all be pulled out by midnight on the 26th.

Y-you got it! [She's not a flying Digimon by any means, but she leaps into the air again.]

O-okay, okay! [Gotsumon pushes himself up and stays back, firing a Rock Fist at the targeted Devimon, and then another right after, for good measure.]
Excuse me? And what about you, you just gonna hit 'em 'til they start to itch? Don't know if you noticed, but that attack didn't really do anything.

[Lopmon's leaping into the air after Lucemon's attack, following up with one of her own.] Blazing Ice!

Rock Fi-- ahhh!
[Gotsumon's cry draws her back. A Devimon's flew in close to him and interruped his attack; he flies back from the Devimon's vicious Death Claw.] Gotsumon! [Going against her own words, she starts forward to him, pausing for only a second before trying to pull him back from the looming Devimon.]

[ Despite Lucemon's warning, she joins Terra in trying to reach the fallen digimon. Lucemon wouldn't have it. He grabbed her arm to prevent her from doing so. ]
Let go! I have to go and help!
Don't be childish! If you go there now you will only be a liability![ That stopped her, but she looked very upset. She knew that battling wasn't her specialty, but she hated being just there to watch. ]
You go and help, then.
[ Lucemon nodded and flew to Terra's side to pull Gotsumon to safety and away from Devimon's line of fire. ]

Wha--? Dammit! [Lightning's fine with being in the line of fire, but not these kids. She's rushing forward, unfortunately leaving Rise on her own for now. There's not much she can do, but if she can at least act as a target in order to provide cover she will.] Lopmon!
Right! Right! I got ya covered! Tiny Twister! [Spinning around to create a tornado, Lopmon instead isn't necessarily attacking, but trying to lead the Devimon away from Terra and Lucemon.]

The claw slams into the ground in front of them, and Terra starts, shaking Gotsumon, who's starting to regain his sense.] C'mon, Gots, you gotta get up, come on.
Ter...? Terra, I'm s'posed to be protecting you! [He tries to pull away, dizzy.]
Can't do that if you get yourself killed! [She glances at Lucemon, and for the first time she wishes she had her powers.]
E-Earth... [It looks like he's trying to attack, but he shakes his head.] Nn... Gotsumon, digivolve to... Golemon!
[There's no need to pull Gotsumon away because he's much larger now, large enough to block attacks at Terra and Lucemon.] ...Wow.
Golem Punch! [The punch swoops at Devimon, who's more surprised than hurt, if one could call it surprise.]

Rise was left where she stood for a moment, but then ran for cover when Devimon began to attack again. She hated this. She hated not being able to anything but watch this happen. Lightning and Terra were so brave and from the way they moved they were not only used to this, they had the ability.
It made her realize more and more that she didn't. She was a liability ...
But she took a deep breath and moved around her cover. She was still protected from their attacks, but she could at least see Terra and the two digimon. ]

Lightning! [Lopmon wasn't thrown nearly as much or as hard as Lightning, but she's rushing over to her partner's side. Light's own vision was swimming; she hasn't been hit that hard for a long while. Gritting her teeth, she pulls herself up enough just to see a blur of rock., Golemon, rushing past.]
You freaking jerk! [Lopmon's rushing past Lightning to be by Golemon's side, neither of them noticing how the woman's Digivice was starting to glow.] Blazing Ice!

Gotsumon! [Terra briefly turns to Rise.] I'm-- yeah, I'm fine! Stay there, watch the tethers! [And with Lightning hurt... Terra takes a deep breath and runs over to try and help her up.] Can you stand?

If she really wanted to help, she would stay put and not get herself hurt. But there had to be something she could do ...
Lucemon returned to her side. ] Lucemon, can you distract it for a while so the girls can get away?
[ Lucemon nodded and took to the sky. It worked for a while. Devimon began firing at the sky and trying to hit Lucemon. Lucemon had no time to retaliate. All he could do was concentrate on trying to avoid getting hit. ]
