What: The Rescue of Taichi turns sour!

Where: The new anomaly outside of Primary Village



The Trailmon to File Island left hours ago. Twenty-one people were aboard and split their separate ways at a terminal close to the Village. Some went to protect the young Digimon while most of the others had a mission at hand: rescuing the brave--or perhaps foolish-- Taichi Yagami.

No Digimon seems to be around as group approaches the field. It as Taichi said, too, full of bright colors and random numbers. The size isn't great, so one must wonder how a boy got lost in there. Or perhaps you're unable to think on that when you realize how still everything is.

No wind seems to pass and no sound can be heard.

Whatever's going on, it can't be normal for the Digital World either, can it?


[[OOC: So here's how this will work! We will give you guys a few rounds to get set up. This is so that you can get in your groups. During this time the Divers will also be roped up and sent on their way. For this we're going to need you guys to be a little speedy at first. Ideally, we will be putting up the Diving/Battling threads at NO LATER THAN 8:30 A.M. CST Thursday. They may go up earlier if we feel everyone is situated!

Several threads will go up then-- one for the Divers for which we will be putting our focus on (Divers, if you want to get started early since you don't have much coordinating to do let us know!).

The Digimon you will be fighting will also make their appearance! Please note it will take several hours after the Divers take their leave that the Digimon will appear. We will introduce these Digimon and explain the mechanics of their behavior, but wil not be playing them unless requested/necessary.

The Divers should all be pulled out by midnight on the 26th.

[Devimon was now a living embodiment of a Robert Frost poem, yet still seemed to shake off the attacks the two digimon were laying on him. Devimon reached out to grab at Firamon and throw him at Seadramon.]

I am not sure. I do not completely understand the process but I recall it is dependent on your bond with your partner.

[He doesn't want to add that part of it is being in danger. He doesn't want to give Hibiki ideas of forcing an evolution by jumping at Devimon. Yes, that was a bit hypocritical but Kaldur was also a former hero who USUALLY threw himself at danger.]

[Firamon cries out in shock as he's snatched from the air, being thrown towards the other Digimon without a chance to recover.]

Coronamon! Be careful out there.

[Shaking his head.] Could be a lot of things. Mine wants to protect me... And he knows I'm stubborn enough to throw myself into things. [Like being here at all.]

My bond with Psychetaro...?

[She winces as Psychemon is unable to dodge a Firamon being chucked in his direction, and he hits the ground pretty hard. For a moment, Hibiki is ready to run out there and pull him up, but he shakily makes his way back onto his feet.]

This is hopeless! We can't win against somethin' like this!

[Seadreamon was slammed with the other digimon. This was not looking good. Devimon just snorted derisively. That was it?

Kaldur is starting to feel that are uncomfortably close to this battle.]

I agree. Even two higher level digimon are struggling...but we need to wait until the team has been extracted with Taichi. We cannot leave before that.

[Seadramon untangles herself from Firamon. She's not going to want to retreat so easily either.]

ELECTRIC SHOCK!

[From fire and ice to electricity. The blast streamed from Seadramon's mouth and struck Devimon in the face.]

[Firamon is getting to his feet slowly, still recovering from the collision with the others. He can't give up. Wash needs him. He needs to help. He gathers flames to his forehead.]

Fira bomb!

[Wash isn't so comfortable, but he agrees.] Can't abandon him. Even if our Digimon get hurt.

I didn't say anythin' about abandonin' anyone! You guys jump to the worst conclusions, geez...I'm just sayin' we gotta play this smart!

[Whatever that means. She doesn't know. But she definitely didn't mean to imply running away was the best choice...though she hopes that Psychetaro figures out how to evolve soon...]

[Kaldur looks at her. She has a point. This tactic of throwing attacks at the creature is clearly not working out. The attacks are stronger, sure, but they don't seem to be doing much damage.

He goes through a mental list of tactics his own team has worked on. Unfortunately, there's not a mental link to inform Seadramon without also informing Devimon. He also hasn't gone over any of the procedures with her either. He mentally curses himself for not having the proper foresight.]

You're right. We need a new tactic. Wash, direct Firamon to wait for my signal. I'm going to see if I can get Seadramon to wrap around Devimon and immobilize him. When that happens, Firamon should use a strike and attempt to blind the digimon and we can revise our strategy from there. Hibiki, I need Psychetaro's help as well. Shouting your strategy across the battlefield is not effective. I need him to buy me time to get to Seadramon and give her the plan.

[He paused and waited for their input as the battle continued. They needed to decide fast before their Champion digimon were also defeated.]

Sounds like a better idea than what we've been trying. that thing isn't getting weaker... [Wash isn't a strategist like that and he knows it. That was Carolina's thing. He's better at following orders.] Firamon, pull back.

[The Digimon isn't happy, but he'll go back to Wash to wait for another good opportunity... Or maybe the human had seen something he missed. Wash wasn't going to give the stronger Digimon warning to defend itself this time. When Firamon lands next to him, he starts giving direction quietly]
