After a few days spent sitting in her room, reading the guide she'd received and picking out a suitable name for her partner, Jinora felt comfortable enough to leave the building and actually go out and do some exploring.  It was about time she did so, anyway; the main characters in her stories never got anything done by staying in their rooms all of the time.

"Ready to go, Nima?" she asked, looking down at the Leormon at her side. 

"Ready when you are," answered her partner.

Jinora might come across a funny scene near the entrance to the city: Takato, actually in the café, staring at what looks to be a deck of cards, making a few poses every now and then while muttering to himself.

"Definitely not a good idea to bring him by; he'd clean out all the booths in less than 30 minutes and we'd be banned for life from the area! Couldn't even swing by with a couple of Wing cards since they've gotta have some kindof surveillance since what happened to Terminal...! Should I buy the sandwiches or the sweets? You can't put this kind of stuff in Guilmon bread..."

He doesn't usually talk to himself this much unless it's about something serious, so don't think he's lost it. The poses are also normal, but not in an area like this one.

When she does see him, Jinora stops and stares for a minute. It's not so much the talking to himself but the posing; Jinora can't help but be reminded of bending moves.

It takes a moment or two longer of Takato's poses before realizing that he's not alone. Once turning a little bit to see Chosen and her partner he laughs softly, face pretty red while rubbing the back of his head.

And he wasn't even involved in a battle against a wild Digimon. At least he kept a good grip on his cards.

"Jinora! Uh, how much of that did you see?"

Ask an obvious question...

"Only a little bit," she answers. "What, um, what were you doing?"

"Eheh, um...well, in my world I've got a different Digivice than everyone else and it stayed the same here..." Takato held up his D-Arc for Jinora and Nima to see.

"With it, I use cards to help Guilmon get stronger or gain the edge in battles...and I sometimes do poses beforehand when I use the cards."

Actually, he does the poses all the time.

"Do the poses...help?" Not that she can really see how, but then again Jinora doesn't know anything about Takato's world. For all she knows it's some form of exercise, like how the Air Acolytes have adapted Airbending forms.

"Uh...kinda? If nothing else, it helps us to properly scan our cards so they don't get damaged." Decent explanation, but Takato never thought he'd have to tell other people about his poses.

Meanwhile, a certain winged girl was heading back into town, accompanied by her two Digimon after a session of flight training.

...And by flight training, it was really just flapping her wings and just barely lifting herself off the ground.

But progress was progress, and after a couple of hours Fluttershy was due for a break. The group was on their way back to the hospital when Sprout spots a familiar girl and Leormon.

And of course, being herself, she can't help but call out as she heads over.

"Yo~!"

"Hm?" Hearing the call, Jinora turned around to see who it was, and if she was the one being addressed.

"Sprout?"

Sprout waves, stopping in front of the two as Fluttershy and Choco hang back a little curiously.

"What's up? Nice to finally meetcha face to face."

"Nice to see you as well," Jinora replies.

"Is that your Chosen Child back there?" asks Nima, catching sight of Choco and Fluttershy.

"Yeah, that's her..." With a grin, Sprout waved the pink-haired girl over.

"This my girl, Fluttershy..." Turning to said girl, Sprout then motioned to Jinora. "Fluttershy, this is Jinora..."

"H-Hello...it's nice to meet you..."

Meanwhile Choco hopped over as well, grinning. "Hey there! My name's Choco!"

"It's nice to meet you too," Jinora replies. "This is my partner Nima."

"Hello there," Nima says with a grin.

Sophia, a few years younger than Jinora, keeps herself busy in HospiTown in a few ways. One is wandering the halls and exploring. One is spending time with
Sora and the Replica, who she insistently calls Aiden. Another is watching Commandramon fight and train.

She's just finished the last one, and she swings her arms as she walks back toward the hospital, with her upbeat partner with her. She's holding his claw, so neither of them get lost, as usual. It's the Leormon that catches Sophia's eyes, honestly. She looks at him with a tiny smile, because she hasn't seen a Leormon before.

"A small lion," she tells Commandramon. "She looks cute."

One advantage of being a cat-like Digimon is, of course, good hearing. So when she hears the compliment Nima turns her head in Sophia's direction. "Thank you."

Sophia doesn't even need to gasp. Her mouth just drops open and she pulls on Commandramon, in a mix of excitement and surprise. "Com'mon, she heard me!"

This time Jinora heard her as well, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. She looks over her shoulder in time to see the younger girl and her partner, and waves in greeting.

Oh, they both heard her? Anticipating her exclamation, Commandramon says, "You were a bit loud there, kiddo."

Regardless! Sophia smiles and waves back. "You have a very cute lion!"

"Thank you!" Jinora calls back.

Just outside of HospiTown proper, Kaldur was working with his digimon. Specifically, Gazimon and he were standing on the shore of the river while Kotemon waded in with his sword. It seemed to be some kind of training exercise as Gizamon blasted jets of water at the Kotemon who had to dodge or deflect them with his kendo stick. It looked like he was trying to get out of the water while the Gizamon kept him in it.

"RAH!" Scipio the Kotemon cried as he jumped high into the air and tried to come down on the Gizamon.

"Water Shot!" she cried before blasting him back into the river. The blast was well placed as it sent Scipio into a deeper part of the water and a large splash went up.

Kaldur stood watching and only spoke up now, addressing Sedna. "You timed that well, I was not expecting you to send him back to the middle of the river."

"That was a good shot," a voice calls from further back on the shore.

Jinora and Nima had been walking past the river when they caught sight of the exercises going on there; curious, they had stopped to see what they were doing.

Kaldur and Sedna both turn at the sound of someone coming. Meanwhile, Scipio pops back up from the river, bobbing in the water. He sees his partners looking away from him though and he turns to see a small girl and a Leormon approaching. Great, an audience to see his massive failure. Scipio sinks a little in the water as if to hide.

Sedna, however, beams, "Thanks! I've been working on it."

Kaldur nods to confirm this. He then steps forward, offering a hand, "Hello. I believe I've seen you around...though we have not spoken yet. I am Kaldur."

"My name is Jinora, and this is my partner Nima." The hand throws Jinora for a moment (she's more used to bowing in greeting to people than handshakes) but she pulls together and accepts it. "It's nice to meet you, Kaldur. May I ask what you're doing out here?"

[acceptedburden]

"It is nice to meet you too," Kaldur replies, pleasant as ever. He looks down at his partner, "We have been training in combat techniques and strategies."

Sedna snorts, "Mostly we've been working on getting Skippy over there used to water combat. I'm an aquatic digimon after all and if we're gonna work as a team he needs to get used to the water." She turns her head to look at the helmeted digimon slowly making his way to the shore. "Isn't that right Skippy?"

Scipio is soaking wet and looks a little displeased, "You would do well to remember I could still beat you in a different element."

"Yeah right."

Kaldur shakes his head at the two. "I merely want them to be prepared for what might happen."

"Nothing wrong with that," she replies. "It reminded me a little bit of a sport they have back in my world, called pro-bending."
