Who: Jinora & her partner. OPEN
What: Touring HospiTown
Where: Out and about in HospiTown
When: Afternoon

After a few days spent sitting in her room, reading the guide she'd received and picking out a suitable name for her partner, Jinora felt comfortable enough to leave the building and actually go out and do some exploring. It was about time she did so, anyway; the main characters in her stories never got anything done by staying in their rooms all of the time.

"Ready to go, Nima?" she asked, looking down at the Leormon at her side.

"Ready when you are," answered her partner.

"Only a little bit," she answers. "What, um, what were you doing?"

"Eheh, um...well, in my world I've got a different Digivice than everyone else and it stayed the same here..." Takato held up his D-Arc for Jinora and Nima to see.

"With it, I use cards to help Guilmon get stronger or gain the edge in battles...and I sometimes do poses beforehand when I use the cards."

Actually, he does the poses all the time.

"Do the poses...help?" Not that she can really see how, but then again Jinora doesn't know anything about Takato's world. For all she knows it's some form of exercise, like how the Air Acolytes have adapted Airbending forms.

"Uh...kinda? If nothing else, it helps us to properly scan our cards so they don't get damaged." Decent explanation, but Takato never thought he'd have to tell other people about his poses.

Decent enough in that Jinora seems to be buying it, anyway.

"Where do you get the cards from? Do you make them?"

"Hmm? No, I'm not that skilled but we buy the cards at certain shops or stores around the city. My friend made one off a design I told him about and..."

Takato felt really embarrassed as he held up Hirokazu's homemade 'Blue' card for Jinora to see.

"Surprisingly...it actually worked when I used it...!"

"It's...nice." The cards in her world look nothing like the one he is showing her, and she wonders what kind of game would be played with cards like that.

"What was it supposed to do?"

"Make Guilmon Digivolve to the Ultimate level, which is after his Champion level." came his response as Takato showed Jinora the other cards which were done professionally and looked much better than Hirokazu's.

"Heh, my friend's not much of an artist but he did his best."

Wisely, Jinora decides not to comment. Instead she listens to Takato as she looks at the cards, remembering what the guide said about Digivolving.

"Kind of like the Crests that the guide mentioned, right?" she guesses.

"Yeah! Exactly like the Crests the guide mentioned, but since I can Digivolve Guilmon that way I'm pretty sure I'm out of the running for a Crest. Same would apply to any of my friends who are also here."

Takato didn't mind not having a Crest, especially since his Digivice would most likely have to change first and he'd already gone through one change, which was involuntary from the start.

"It must be nice, to have other people from your world here with you," Jinora muses. As far as she knows she is the only person from the Four Nations to have been brought to this place.

"Yeah...it is." Takato replied quietly. It had been quite a while since he last talked with either Ruki or Juri, but at least he'd gotten in touch with Juri on Christmas and heard from Impmon sometime ago. Even so, he still hadn't fully gotten over how he felt for Juri yet.

"I'm sure someone from your world will show up someday, Jinora."

Takato's words cause Jinora to look down at the sidewalk, rubbing her forearm. "I don't know if that would be a good idea," she murmurs, speaking more to herself than to Takato.

Nima, overhearing, looks up at her Chosen curiously.

"...Why not?" Takato reached out with a free hand, having put his cards away, and hesitantly placed it against Jinora's shoulder.

He could see how it would benefit her, having someone from home to talk to but then again, they wouldn't be able to return much like anyone else -or if they did, it was against their will.

"Korra is needed more in my world than here, especially with the spirit portals remaining open," she says. "And, well, after the Amon thing I don't think having their bending taken away would go over very well."

"Yeah, but you're important to your world too." Takato noted. "You're a powerful Bender, aren't you? I'm sure it won't be long before you're missed by your friends and family."

She looks down at her feet, feeling heat rise to her face as her cheeks flush. "I'm not that powerful," she murmurs. She's certainly no where near the level of her grandfather; he'd only been a year older than she was when he'd earned his arrows.

"...Maybe not, but you'll get stronger...!" Takato squeezed her shoulder briefly before pulling his hand back. "When I first got Guilmon I barely knew what I was doing, and made a ton of mistakes...sometimes I still make a few every now and then but, the point is I learned how to be a good partner, and a good Tamer. Even if you can't use them, your abilities are still a part of you and they'll never go away!"

Nima looks up at her partner. "You should listen to him, Jinora," she says.

"Ha, thanks..." Takato chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his head once more at Nima's compliment while smiling faintly at Jinora's partner.

"Thank you, both of you," Jinora says.

The situation is getting a little bit awkward, so the best way to fix that is to change the subject.

"So, is there anything to do around here aside from sitting in your room all day?"

Takato felt his own face heat up at her question, looking briefly at Jinora before glancing down at his Digivice.

"Uh...sure! Are you getting hungry? Maybe we could get something to eat or look around at the shops."

She thinks about this for a moment. "Couldn't we do both?" Jinora asks.

"Though lunch first would be a nice idea," Nima chimes in.

"All right; lunch first, then."

"Haha, okay; lunch first and then we can look around!" Takato motioned a Digimon waiter over before a thought occurred to him and he grinned a bit.

"Oh, and we need to make sure to get some food to go too; Guilmon would be upset if I got something to eat and didn't get him anything."

Jinora giggles, covering her hand with her mouth, while Nima just grins knowingly.

"So why isn't Guilmon with you?" the human girl asks as she sits down. "Nima tends to tag along almost everywhere I go- not that I mind."
