My Monster and Me...
Who: Leatherhead and Whomever
What: A gator's on the loose and no pizza place can hold him
Where: On the outskirts of the new town
When: Mid day
He didn't care for this new change. In fact, his first instinct was to hide. It had been so long since he went without this for and now...now it was back. And just like that all the old insecurities rose up. Would they accept him? Or did they only accept him on the merit of being human? And what's more, did this just mean they'd go back to casting him out or worse?
Well, don't worry. He'll reject himself you don't need to worry about that. The alligator had already abandoned Duke and Roadbuster. For a big guy he managed to give them the slip pretty well. Guess it was back to being on his own at least until this change went away.
The mutant liked it much better than in the city, really. A lot more grass, actually. And actual flowers. He liked those. The mutant could get used to this for awhile. Soon enough the mutant began wandering the area of the outskirts, enjoying the flowers of every hue and size. Yeah, if only Mikey could find him..

When they stilled and she landed back on the ground though, she spotted him against the grass some distance away.
And she couldn't help smiling...because alligator.

He approaches the reptilian biped, unable to sate his curiosity. "Why are you here without a partner to protect you?"
no subject
He shook his head, "I did not wish for them to see me like this...I wanted to be alone."
no subject
While it sounds accusatory, it's actually a sincere question. To BWG, this Chosen now simply looks more similar to the Digimon, which is nothing positive, nor negative. What does his appearance have to do with any matter concerning his partners?

Today was another part of the latter, with Chris aiming to continue part of a map he'd been making. Sylvia was aiding him in this task, giving him a higher perspective by gliding around with the D-Terminal and taking pictures.
He was busy scribbling in a journal, writing out rough notes about the terrain surrounding the city. At the moment he wasn't aware there was anyone else around, but that would surely change.
no subject
Leatherhead figured it wouldn't hurt to just quietly follow Chris, keeping low to the ground. At the very least he could see what the Kratt was up to.
no subject
"What's it look like out there?"
Sylvia, settling in place, pointed off to one side. "I checked out that waterfall! Looks like it goes right off the edge of the continent and into the ocean."
Pausing in skimming through the pictures, Chris handed the D-Terminal back to his partner and removed the notebook from his underarm, making a note. "Great! Gotta remember to take that into account."

So much.
He didn't even realize he'd left the city behind until sensors indicated the grass below him.
Well. Those flowers were something he hadn't seen in a while. Not like this. He landed, still transformed, hopping curiously through them. He probably looked a little ridiculous, doing so, but no matter. No one else was out here.
Right?
no subject
Don't be so quick to assume, Kagerou. Right at the giant robot began hopping through the flowers, it took Leatherhead a moment to realize the robot was heading for his path. Instantly the alligator darted out on all fours out of the robot's way.
So much for keeping it low profile.

The excuse she'd made was that she wanted to gather some flowers and herbs, which she did, but... she also just kind of wanted to get away. Too many things that she couldn't do anything to help were happening in town, and she needed a little space to deal with it.
Eventually, though, she decided to stop near a large tree stump to rest a little while. While Aburn sat down next to it, leaning back against it, Kit opted to sit on top of the stump. Once settled, she pulled out her flupe and began to play. Things always seemed clearer when she was playing; music seemed to help untangle jumbled feelings.
no subject
He almost hid away before he heard the music. It was so different...a good different. The song wafted through him like a good breeze. He had to see more. It wouldn't be too bad is he just quietly sat behind her and listened for awhile?
no subject
It wasn't until Kit paused in her playing that she too sensed she was being watched and turned to look behind her. The large, scaly, toothy being who sat there made her eyes go a little wide. He looked like someone she might see at home on Third Earth. A lot like Donnie did, come to think of it. Which gave her a hint as to who he might be.
"Leatherhead...?", she asked.

All of the changes fascinate Juri. She loves it, seeing how the others were different. She takes to wandering about, actually without Leomon for once. It's a walk, that's all. And that's how she finds Leatherhead...though she doesn't quite know it was him.
"Oh... I haven't seen a Digimon like you before," she ends up saying, more to herself than to the alligator, approaching cautiously.

"I...am not from here," is the best response he has.

Cody, Martin's Bearmon, had picked up a little bit of Earth creature knowledge in the short time he'd been with his Chosen, but he still had a lot to learn. What better way to learn though then do what his Chosen apparently liked to do and go off and explore right?
At the moment, the little Bearmon was sitting in a small cluster of flowers, staring intently at one particularly pretty one. Now supposedly there was something in these that'd make honey, and while even bears eat things besides honey...he kinda still wanted to see if he could get some. Bees can make honey from flowers, why not bears?
He leans in closer to the flower, eyeing it studiously before-
Chomp.
Yep. Cub just ate a flower.
...He's learning.

Well that and it's actually Whirl, who decided to take up residence in this clearing during this change and he finds sleeping in his alt-mode a hell of a lot easier to do.
That and who the fuck is going to mess with a helicopter?!
no subject
Only one way to find out...the alligator made his way towards the helicopter, cautiously crawling on all fours. What the heck could it be?

And there's a funny alligator guy over there. That's new! So new, in fact, that Guilmon scampers over, disregarding LH's personal place.]
Hey, Guilmon hasn't seen you before! Where did you come from?
