A calm had swept over Terminal Tokyo, as the Chosen Children had successfully repel the Beemon attack and began to clean up their city. All was well and life would go on, though some scars would take a while to heal. But as the saying goes, there is no rest for the weary.

Another earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

What, was it made of solid gold or something?

[She can't help but laugh. It's not a mocking sort of laugh, though; the way he's acting is obviously strange, so it's amusing watching him try to cover it up.

Lucemon is smiling too, but at least she holds back from laughing.] I suppose it's "not so bad", until you realize just what may be floating around in that river.

[Alright, that got the two of them to sort of in unison go "ew" and start scrambling to get out of the water. It's weird, and kind of annoying to not be able to just will himself dry, especially with that awesome reminder of what might have been floating around with them down there, so Percy starts wringing out his shirt while making a face.]

Yeah, well, it looks a lot cleaner than the Hudson.

What's the Hudson?

It's a river near where I'm from. We need to get you a book about New York or something.

New York? Whatever brought us here is doing a good job of reaching out across the whole world for "Chosen", it seems.

[Hakuno heads over towards the bank of the river as Percy and Crabmon make their way out. Much better, now she doesn't have to raise her voice just to chat.]

So why the big secret over your dip in the river? If you just tripped or something, that's really no big deal.

[Okay fine, don't buy the pen thing. Percy shrugs, trying to look embarrassed.] I fell in, it was stupid.

[He moves on quickly though, because he really doesn't want to talk too much about his real reasons for doing it or spend too much time being teased for having it happen in the first place.]

Where are you from? [Also by the way, holy Zeus, is that your partner or just some kid with wings?]

... Would you believe me if I said I was from an alien supercomputer located on the moon?

[... Hakuno. Hakuno no. Even Lucemon is giving her a look of confused shock at that.]

I guess I can also just say "Japan". It's not entirely accurate, but that's close enough.

[Yeah, both Percy and Crabmon are sort of just. Staring. At that. Because sorry, what?]

Japan sounds good! [He's not really sure if she'd take super well to him asking a million questions about the other thing right about now, although it was definitely making him feel a little better about the whole son of Poseidon thing. Maybe people wouldn't think he was that crazy after all, when that inevitably came out.] And is that your uh. Partner? I mean, I'm guessing you're not the Digimon.

[And to think, the whole "supercomputer on the moon" thing isn't even the strangest part of where Hakuno came from. YES, IT GETS EVEN WEIRDER...]

Huh? Oh! Yes. [She turns to look at Lucemon, who has managed to recover rather quickly from her shock. Seems like it'll take a lot to really ruffle this digimon up.]

Yes, I am. You may call me Lucemon. [The light smile returns to Lucemon's face, and she bows a bit, each set of wings on her back (and even the pair on her head) fluttering slightly to prove that yes, they are real.] My appearance is a bit strange for a rookie-level Digimon, I know, but you'll find that many of us take on an appearance more similar to you humans as we digivolve.

Wait- [This is all way too weird. He turns to Crabmon, obviously confused and trying to take in this new bit of information.] You're telling me that you're going to "digivolve" [It's taking everything he has not to make airquotes when he says it.] into something that looks like a person? You're a crab!

[Crabmon shrugs, or at least makes a gesture as close enough to one to pass for it.] I don't know what I'm going to digivolve to, yet, or when it's gonna happen, Percy. I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see.

Right. [It's still... something to think about, though. Maybe.

He looks back over at the two strangers.] I'm Percy, and this is... Crabmon. [He really didn't know what to make of this whole "my species is also my first name" thing. How did you tell the difference between one Digimon and another if they all shared named and looked alike?] I just got here.

[... Oh, she really went around this long without introducing herself? Whoops. She smiles a bit sheepishly, extending her hand for him to shake.]

It's nice to meet you, Percy. I'm Hakuno. I just arrived here too, so... I guess we can be completely clueless together,

Sounds good to me. [He shakes her hand, sort of feeling a little awkward - he wasn't great at this whole formality thing - but it is good to know that there are other new people around, that he's not the only person who has no idea how to just accept all this without complaining about it.] Have you seen anyone else around yet?

[She shakes her head.] No, not yet. I think I remember passing by some people in the area I first woke up in, but I was pretty dazed the entire time. What about you?

I talked to a kid who said he was from the 18th century. His clothes sure looked pretty ancient. [And Percy got to teach him things like "retro" and "cool", which mostly meant he probably confused the poor guy way more than was necessary.]

... The 18th century? Really? [Hakuno... doesn't look as shocked as she probably should be. After all, hanging around a Roman Emperor for a few months and facing off against other heroes and legends from ages past kinda numbs you on that sort of thing...] Geez, I can't imagine how he's handling all of this. Future shock, culture shock... whatever you want to call it. Were you able to help him out at all?

I think I just made him more confused. I tried explaining what "retro" meant. [You'd think he'd learn this was a lost cause.]

... Poor guy.

... Poor guy. <small[It's sort of amusing, but at the same time, she feels pretty bad for whoever this guy is!]</small> I can kind of understand how he must've felt, being completely lost about everything.

You didn't just.... leave him to wander around, did you? Do you know if he managed to find other people to help him?

His Digimon seemed like he had it covered. Crabmon knows where stuff is better than I do, anyway.
