New Arrivals: Let's Have Some Fun

A calm had swept over Terminal Tokyo, as the Chosen Children had successfully repel the Beemon attack and began to clean up their city. All was well and life would go on, though some scars would take a while to heal. But as the saying goes, there is no rest for the weary.

Another earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners...

Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

By here, do you mean the river or this world? [ Teasing him but she did know what he meant. ]

I arrived a couple of weeks ago. Does that mean you are new here? This is the first time I have seen the new people come out from the river though.

I didn't come out of the river, I was just... [Trying to make a phone call home, no big deal.] In it. But yeah, I'm new.

[He tries not to be too worried about the idea of "a few weeks ago". He was pretty sure this wasn't like the Lotus Hotel, even though he'd worried it was when he'd first gotten here.]

There's seriously no way to talk to people at home? I was kind of in the middle of something when whoever's behind this grabbed me.

[ ... phone call? It is a good thing he didn't tell her that. She would wonder if he had a concussion. How do you make a phone call underwater? ]

No. Not that I know of. But then again, I still need to talk to some of our seniors (sempai) since they have been here much longer.

You have the digivice but it is for talking with people like us ... who just found themselves here.

So I guess that means it doesn't let you make collect calls to the real world. [Sigh. That probably ruled out Iris Messages, too.]

Hey, do you think you could give me directions? I've got some apartment I'm supposed to be staying in, but I'm not great with maps. [Or reading in general, thanks dyslexia. One of the more irritating parts of being a demigod.

Well, that and the monsters trying to eat you thing.]

I'll do something better. I'll take you there! [ Giving him a playful wink. He is cute after and it really did look like he was in trouble.

And if he wanders around aimlessly in wet clothes, he'd probably still get sick. ]

I should be getting back anyway. My partner will worry.

[Percy's sort of oblivious to that sort of thing, and, unshockingly, he's forgotten the room assignment by now, so he fumbles for his D-Terminal - hope these things are waterproof! - and pulls up the welcome message to show her.]

It looks like we're roommates.

Oh, that's cool. [Maybe. Since you know, you could be crazy, and he's not actually sure he wants to share a room with someone he barely knows, but. He did have to share with the entire Hermes cabin back when he'd first gotten to camp, so.]

Each room has separate bedrooms! [ She is blushing and stammering. She hadn't realized how it must have sounded to him when she said that. ]

Rise is not like that.

Good. [And, well, now he feels even more awkward, so he's going to just super classily focus on one thing she said and try not to think too hard about the rest of it.]

Do you usually refer to yourself in the third person?

[ She stared at him. Wow, that was the first time someone commented about that. But then again, he wasn't Japanese so he probably wouldn't understand that mannerisms like that was thought to be cute.
